BEWARE! – If your menus have submenus you will not see any menu in Safari 5. Themeco says it is too old to support.
FYI – I have began making my browser skinny when viewing demo themes to see what happens in responsive.

Safari 5 is no longer in Apple’s release cycle, and neither is Snow Leopard. Safari 5 is not fully HTML5 compliant, and has been known to have rendering issues with CSS3. As of September, 2014 total Safari usage is at roughly 3.6% with Safari 5 usage just a fraction of that 3.6%. It is not advisable to use a browser that is no longer in a companies release cycle for several reasons not the least of which is safety and security. In July 2011 (over 3 years ago), for example, Apple patched Safari 5.0 for the final time, updating the browser to version 5.0.6. That edition was the last that ran in OS X Leopard, which was released in October 2007. More info on that can be found here.
Good for you and your stats but my clients and more so their customers dont care about your stats. The theme clearly claims Safari compatibility but by your response that is clearly not true. Safari6+ Compatibility would be honest and have made me reconsider the purchase rather than building an entire website just to find out that in fact X is not Safari compatible.
You are welcome to your opinions, however when the company who released the software stops providing patches and updates to it, that is a good sign it’s time to move on to more stable, modern browsers and encourage your clients and by extension their customers to do so as well. As the claim to be Safari compatible does not specify version numbers and certainly doesn’t claim to support versions not supported by Apple itself (and ThemeForest does not give us an option to list specific version numbers like they do for Internet Explorer), it is certainly accurate to state that X is Safari compatible. It is also compatible with Safari 5, there are simply certain elements that might render differently due to the outdated nature of browser and the many new versions since.

There are no modal popups out of the box in X. We do provide integration with BuddyPress, however there is no styling option for the wp-login.php page in the theme.
With regards to VC, we use a customized version of the plugin in X that allows our customers to work with our Shortcodes, and you can definitely group our Shortcodes together (for example putting a Button Shortcode in a Column Shortcode.

Ultimate Addons just updated theirs to include a ‘spacing for mobile’ option when inserting anything. Sure would be nice..hint hint.

As we have a customized version of VC we don’t support extensions to the standard plugin, however customers are certainly welcome to use any tool they deem necessary on their own.

It has more to do with the functionality of the tool in the first place. Since the page builder provided in X is meant to work with our Shortcodes, there are no plans to provide integrated support to a tool that essentially is a 3rd party extension (Ultimate Addons) to a tool that is already a 3rd party extension (VC) in our theme. Our future updates will be centered around our own new functionality and features. Again, customers are welcome to integrate any 3rd party solution they wish, it simply falls outside the scope of our support and given how VC is used in X will not be something that would be included in our integrated version.
I understand. I wouldn’t want to mix in a 3rd party one anyway. But now that leaves me to learn CSS so I can space mobile and do stuff like style the tabs and accordions. I’ll head on over to the forums and knowledge base to get the full skinny. Thanks for your help.

You are welcome to use the standard version of VC, we simply don’t provide support for it. Extensions would fall under the same category…you are welcome to use them, however our support does not cover them as they are extensions to something that is already an extension.

No, as our version is custom-tailored to work with our Shortcodes allowing our customers a drag/drop interface to build pages.
Alright then I’ll hope the other way around will work (adding a VC extension to the custom-tailored VC)!

You see that message when you are trying to upload the wrong file. Make sure you are only update the theme files and not the entire zip with documentation, etc.

There is no membership functionality built into the theme aside from our Protected Content Shortcode which is for simply password protection of pages or posts, however customers are certainly welcome to integrate with 3rd party membership plugins when using X to run a membership site.

Last question - X comes with WooCommerce and well-integrated! Do you have any clients who use “Easy Digital Downloads” plugin in X?
None that come to mind right off, however there shouldn’t be any issues with using the plugin aside from just the standard integration of a 3rd party solution with a theme.

You can center the logo/navigation in the Customizer by going to Header > Logo & Navigation > Layout > then selecting the Stacked radio button. You can see an example of what this looks like when using the Renew Stack here (works with all Stacks).

I have a client with special design request.
Can your theme allow me to set up a header like this

2) Have ability to add 2-3 small widgets in middle of header for Special Promo, Customer Service Number and Social Icon.
3) Cart Information to the Right
4) A true Search box to the right
5) Login/Register – Wish list – Compare menu to the upper right.
6) the MAIN MENUS across the bottom of the header.
If no do you or anyone know of a them that will?

The menus in our demos give the best example of what is possible with our header area out of the box. Specifically, you can place the menu fixed left, right or fixed/static top. When fixed/static top you have the option to center logo/navigation as well. Other menu features include our optional header search that you can see in the Integrity 01 Demo as well as an optional top bar that when activated goes above the header and allows for text on the left and social icons on the right. Any functionality needs beyond that would need to be customized on your end post purchase.

FYI: If you are switching themes and have portfolios already setup, be advised those portfolio items will disappear when activating this theme, and will have to be recreated in new theme (X).
