Hi, I cant find the shortcodes in the X_package folder… where can I get it? I am working locally…
You can find it in the theme download under framework > plugins > x-shortcodes.zip
Pre-purchase questions.
Which 3rd party plugins are bundled into the theme?
I think I have gathered Slider Revolution? Any others?
I really don’t like being tied to bundled plugins for various reasons (security, update lags, rollbacks, etc), and am happy to purchase a standalone licence for things like Revolution which I actually use, but I really wouldn’t like to be forced to use bundles that I don’t need and can’t unhook.
It is not obviously clear from the brief scan I did of the intro/demo which parts of the theme are your own, and which are bundled 3rd party plugins.
Can you list all of the premium 3rd party plugins please?
Also, does the theme integrate well with the popular events calendar plugins, such as Modern Tribe, or All-in-One?
How about Child Themes? Can I add my own custom functions without worrying about losing them when updating?
And last one for the moment, with my favourite theme framework at the moment (called Headway), the integration with the native Wordpress Templates is terrible.
Can we easily edit the WP templates in X, or are we tied into hardcoded custom X templates? Including custom post types and taxonomies.
Thanks
Guy
Hi Guy,
1) We provide integrated support for Revolution Slider and a customized version of Visual Composer. We also provide integrated styling support for Gravity Forms (note that Gravity Forms is not included with your purchase like copies of Revolution and VC). In VC’s case, support is provided for our integrated version only as outlined on our listing due to how the plugin has been custom tailored to work within the theme (with our Shortcodes).
2) Revolution Slider and VC are the two integrated plugin options. We also integrated with something called iLightBox for an image lightbox feature for those customers who wish to take advantage of that type of functionality.
3) Our policy related to 3rd party plugins is that unless they are integrated into the theme in some way (Revolution Slider, Gravity Forms, Visual Composer, etc) then we do not provide support for them. The implementation, customization, and troubleshooting of any issues that may arise are the customers responsibility. Technically speaking, since X was developed according to development best practices, any well developed 3rd party plugin should play nicely with X, however due to the virtually limitless nature of things that can and often times do go wrong with software, we can’t support something that we have not first developed or integrated into the theme.
4) We provide child theme templates in our member center and recommend the use of them for customizations done to X.
5) Portfolios utilize a custom post type. From a general WordPress development point of view, we follow best practices allowing for a great deal of customization to the template files either through your own code or contracting with a developer. As we said above, we also recommend the use of child themes for customizations.
Great, thanks for the detailed reply, much appreciated.
So with regards to Revolution and Gravity, I can use my own licence for those if I want to, but for VC it is not possible to unhook your integrated version from the theme and use my own licence, is that correct?
Or can I also use my own licensed version of VC if I want?
I understand that you don’t support the plugins unless the support might be related to how it works with the theme, but if I wanted to unhook them and use my own, then this is possible?
My pleasure
Gravity Forms, definitely. Revolution, you could, but it would be advisable to use the one provided with the theme as we have tested the included version with the theme for compatibility.
That is partially correct on VC. You are welcome to not use our version and instead use the standard one, however we do not guarantee compatibility nor provide support for the standard version due to how the plugin is customized to work within X.
Cheers!
Hello, I am thinking about purchasing Theme X for my business website and two other websites that I own. The question I have pertains to whether or not I can purchase Theme X once and apply it to my websites. Do I have to buy it separately for every one of my 3 or 4 websites?
Also, will I have access to most features with the regular license and are there any monthly payments involved or is it a single payment?
Thank you, this theme is very well done, so kudos.
Hi There,
Thank-you for the kind words
Yes, if you had 4 sites then you would simply purchase 4 regular licenses as the license is for a single use. There are no required additional costs to use the theme.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Is it possible to use a static page as the home page?
Absolutely
That is a WordPress setting and not theme specific.
I’m working on a customers site that has this theme installed. I can’t find the option for static page where it would normally be. Can you point me in the right direction please.
I found it. Thanks.
My pleasure!
Is it possible to use the newest version of visual composer with this theme?
From our listing…We have integrated a customized version of Visual Composer into X to use with our own Shortcodes (included as a separate plugin). While we do not support the standard version of VC nor 3rd party extensions to the plugin, we do support our integrated version.
Hello, the main demo… http://themeforest.net/item/x-the-theme/full_screen_preview/5871901
With a big header and menu below, after scrolling menu gets on top and content is only one page.
Can you guide me how to replicate it, which demo to use?
Thanks
Hi There,
That particular page is our sales page, but it is built on the Integrity 01 demo with the only different being a customized navigation. We have this video tutorial in our member area that walks through the Integrity 01 demo setup, then be sure to check out the article about setting up one page navigation as well.

Is this theme Woo2.2 ready? I am eagerly awaiting an update.
Hi There,
If there was a recent update to WooCommerce, it will be included in our next release. Cheers!
Hello there Devs,
Recently bought this theme because I really enjoyed the look of it, been poking around here and there with it but ran into something.. ( which probably is just me.. )
I’m trying to add the rev slider at front like you guys have on Etho’s II ( http://theme.co/x/demo/ethos/2/ ) with the down button ect. However I didn’t find the file in my downloads to import that same style..
If you could help me out on this I would be very happy!

Hey guys,
any timeframe or specs for the new release of x ? (3.0) I need to start a new website for a client and I was wondering if I was waiting the release of 3.0 or not. thanks for the info.
Hi There,
It is our next release, however we do not have a release date scheduled as of yet. We look forward to getting it into our customers hands though!
Hi, I am about to purchase X, but want to confirm one thing first. I used to work with Avada, and it’s very easy to create child theme to achieve whatever layout/styling as I want. Question: is it easy to create child theme in X? how is it compare with Avada?
Thanks!
Hi There,
We provide child theme templates for our customers in our member center and once purchased, you can register for access here.
We definitely recommend the use of child themes for customizations to your theme so future updates will be easy and seamless.
Looking forward to having you on board!
Love the theme! But how do I get rid of the + in the upper right hand corner? Thanks, Greg
Howdy Greg,
Thanks for the kind words…that’s what we love to hear!
That is simply a optional header widget area that you can turn off by going into the Customizer and going to Header > Widgetbar then selecting None (Disable Widget Areas).

Thank you for your quick response. It worked like a charm. I have one more question. How do I enable the mobile nav. I see the nav on my phone but when I click on it nothing happens. Thanks again.
You’re most welcome! There is nothing to enable for the mobile nav. It will just work, however if you are having any issues with it, a member of our development team would be happy to further assist in our member forums.
Hi!
I’m thinking of buying this theme which looks great, but I’m wondering, since I’ve been told a few things. first is that WP platform does not work so well for a fully functional e-shop with many products and that it’s not so secure for clients to shop vs. other platforms which don’t need an commerce plugin. how true is it for the x theme? will this theme be good for high-end e-shop with additional content, or should I look into other platforms then WP?
Thank you
J
Hi J,
Many companies and shops are built atop WordPress with WordPress powering over 20% of the entire web. As for security, WordPress follows all/many of the industry standard practices for development and customers are certainly advised to look into adding additional layers of security to their own sites based on the purpose of the site. The same applies with our theme.
Cheers!
I registered for a Support Account – but cannot access the Support area – It keeps telling me that username or password is invalid – I’ve tried to recover the password – but again I cannot because it says my email address is invalid. Can someone please help me to access the support portal? As you CANNOT get help with logging in from the portal itself!
Hi There,
We replied to your email.

Hi,
We want to have a sidebar on single product page http://shop.saralcollection.com/product/bracelet-3002/. Is it possible? how?
Are there any of your demos that utilize a centered logo and nav? It would be nice to have a photoshop file that’s goes into a bit more depth of your layout design.
Hi There,
Yes, there are several here (Integrity), here (Renew), here (Icon), and here (Ethos).
We do provide Photoshop files with your download, however they are meant for illustrative purposes only as the final design of some Stacks ended up being different at times due to other features in the theme.

Any way of achieving a full width portfolio just like this one -> http://www.kriesi.at/themes/enfold-business-flat/contact/ ?
Best Regards,
Hi Joel,
There is a fullwidth portfolio option however the link above is a marginless option which is not currently a feature in our portfolios.
If you need anything further or have any further questions on features in the theme, a member of our development team will be happy to assist in our member forums.
Cheers!
I would really need this margin less option. Is there any way they can assist me achieving this in member forums?
Best Regards,
That sort of layout is not something that can be easily provided given several unique considerations so it would fall outside the scope of our support currently, however you are welcome to contract with a developer if it is something you need imminently.
My page displays this…..”It appears whatever you were looking for is no longer here or perhaps wasn’t here to begin with. You might want to try starting over from the homepage to see if you can find what you’re after from there”. What does this mean? How can I fix this?
Hi There,
That is the message you see when search results return no results or the page or post you are trying to access has been deleted. If you need anything further, a member of our development team will be happy to assist in our member forum. If you haven’t registered for access yet, you can do so here.

As I asked few month ago, VC was not fully supported( I meant the official version of VC and its extensions sold on Codecanyon. How about now?
I know you have integrated version of VC, but it’s always outdated.
It’s really important to support VC natively since they have a huge base of customers who are not very familiar with shortcodes or web design or just want an easy work on the site.
I have always recommended X theme to my clients, but lack of native support for VC & its extentions really freaked them out, and picked other popular themes instead:(
Hi There,
As explained on our listing and in more detail in this Knowledge base article, the use of VC within X is only to allow our customers to use our Shortcodes to build pages. Many customers requested a drag/drop functionality to build pages and since VC was created to be custom-tailored on a theme by theme basis, we chose to customize the experience to work seamlessly and perfectly with our Shortcodes only. As such, we don’t include certain updates or features in the standard version due to how the plugin is integrated into X. Our integrated version will always be kept updated to be working within X for our own intended use.
If you would like to use the standard version, you are more then welcome to do so…our support however only covers the integrated version.
Cheers!
The problem is that if I try to use the standard version, it won’t show up correctly on pages since it’s not supported as well as other VC extensions. I do understand that you would like to create a seamlessly experience for your customers, but you have also limited a lot of potential for your theme to become the true monster theme in TF.
You already have everything that a webmaster needed for a perfect theme, why not just fix the small, tiny limitation? Because of it, I have to use the only theme that is ranking before you on TF for my clients.
I am so in love with your theme, and been waiting for a long time to see whether the theme is going to support the standard version of VC:). However, it seems X is never going to support standard version of VC natively. That’s fine. Thanks for your fast response:)
We’re glad you are enjoying your time with X, and thank-you for the kind words! While we have no immediate plans to change our integration of VC within X due to its intended use, we do have many exciting new features to announce with our upcoming 3.0 release…our biggest release to date and one that our customers will absolutely love!
Hello,
When it will be available version 3 of the theme?
Thank you
Hi There,
We don’t have an official release date yet but we’re expecting within the next 2 weeks or so. We’re excited to get this exciting new version out
Cheers!

Hello
i’m trying to install Contact Form 7 with Integrity (7) from the WordPress plugins repository.
Installation is ok but activating is impossible : “fatal error”.
If i insiste, the plugin is installed but when i want to create a form… :
Fatal error: Cannot call method self::form() or method does not exist in /homepages/24/d308527106/htdocs/couvrirenpic/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/contact-form-template.php on line 8
Please help me !
Hi There,
One of our developers will be happy to assist in the forum as that is where all support is provided. If you haven’t registered for access yet, you can do so here.
In the meantime, you might try reinstalling the theme/plugin from scratch as many of our customers use the theme and Contact Form 7 together (we provide integrated styling for the forms) and there are no outstanding issues that I know of so it sounds like there is potentially a corrupt file from installation of the theme or plugin. In both scenarios a simple re-doing the installation process normally fixes it.
Should you need anything further, we’ll see you in the forums.
Cheers!
