Hello,
What a beautiful theme. Is there an option to post an email signup form prominently on the home page? Either to the right of the Revslider or full width above or below the carousel? I’ve looked through the samples and don’t see anything like that. Thanks!
Brian
Hi Brian,
Thank you for the kind words, my friend!
You would be welcome to take the provided optin code from your autoresponder company of choice and integrate it as needed in a text/html area of the site, however there is no specific section to add it. We are working on some features related to autoresponder integration that we will be making announcements about soon.
Cheers!
We LOVE the theme and have been using it for 6 months now. We have one issue however. Our Tag Archives (portfolio and posts) are showing up as our main site links in search results. We aren’t sure if this is a structural thing or something we messed up. Any tips on how to fix that? Thanks!
I spent a very LONG time trying to decide between Avada, Genesis, Enfold, X, Headway, Builder, Make, Total, Striking, Richer, Divi, and The7. I looked at user comments, flexibility, quality of support, design quality of the site you can create, Google PageSpeed Insights of sites built with these themes, and GTmetrix scores (which is hard since a great theme at a lousy host impacts this).
I wanted a theme that I could throw anything at, that would let me control whitespace between elements, and that I could maintain easily if I changed formats.
I didn’t want bloat and I carefully read the reviews on X and saw that they had responded to any such criticism (they only load the stuff needed).
An in-depth comparison would take MUCH longer than I had time for. Ideally you pick a theme based on needs, and my future needs were unpredictable.
I ended up choosing X and not regretting my decision at all. The knowledge base/forums is a fantastic resource; most questions I had were already asked. There was nothing I wanted to do that I couldn’t find a way to do. The Customize panel with real-time preview is to die for. Great seamless integration of bbPress and BuddyPress, etc. When I asked a question, support was all over it in terms of promptly and efficiently answering my questions as well as reacting positively when I suggested improvements to the documentation.
The only thing that was a bit of a struggle was “make my site look like one of the demo sites.” There is a great video tutorial on how to do this that was super helpful (with a caption below on changes since the video was made), but you can’t really “replicate” the demo site due to rights to the images, etc. (and if you didn’t already have the right plug-ins installed).
Everything has worked flawlessly, without any error messages and you can really put together any site you want as demonstrated by the many demo sites created using X.
Five stars. You can’t go wrong with this theme. Nothing you can’t do.
Well thank-you for that, Steve! We certainly appreciate you taking the time to share such a detailed real life experience
We care a great deal about providing an exceptional experience both in the product and service after the fact, and we look forward to continuing to work with you and thank-you ahead of time for the repeat business for future projects (our biggest update ever is up next)!
Regarding the demo sites, it is true that we are unable to provide the actual creatives for licensing reasons, however we do supply holder graphics in place of those.
As always, should you need anything further, we’ll look forward to seeing you in the member center and a big thanks again from all your friends at Themeco.
Hi I just bought X The Theme. 1 – I would just like to know how to customize front page without developping skills. I already bought another theme at themebucket which I was able to install and customize by myself. But this time, I do not find how to customize front page (e.g. : I want to put a slider on it…) 2 – If it is too hard to do, how coul I install that theme : http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/4/portfolio/ ? Thx a lot for your replies !
Hi There,
Welcome!
We provide demo content and Customizer import files in our member center that will allow you to recreate the look of our demos. If you haven’t registered for access yet, you can do so here. Once logged in, you can head on over to our Demo Content page and follow the provided instructions. We also have many tutorials, videos, and articles about using X in our Knowledge Base that you will definitely want to go through. Should you need anything from there, a member or our development team will be happy to assist in our member forum. Since we have tens of thousands of answered threads covering every aspect of using the theme, I would definitely start our search with our Knowledge Base/Forum search, however our team is a forum post away should you need anything beyond that.
Cheers!
Looks like an awesome theme. I have basic HTML skills and a detailed idea of how my site should look, but haven’t installed and implemented a wordpress site. Do you provide paid support to help get a site up and running? Thanks!
Hi There,
Thanks for the kind words. We are testing paid services at the time, so if you would be interested about that post-purchase, we would be happy to share some more info on that.
Cheers!
OK – that’s great, thanks for the quick response. Also – please confirm that I would be able to use other plugins. For example, I currently use (and rely on) a plugin to populate my site with real estate listings. I have a couple others I may or may not need. Thanks.
My pleasure
Our policy related to 3rd party plugins is that unless they are integrated into the theme in some way (Revolution Slider, Gravity Forms, etc) then we do not provide support for them. The implementation, customization, and troubleshooting of any issues that may arise are the customers responsibility. Technically speaking, since X was developed according to development best practices, any well developed 3rd party plugin should play nicely with X, however due to the virtually limitless nature of things that can and often times do go wrong with software, we can’t support something that we have not first developed or integrated into the theme.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hi there,
I’m looking to purchase the X theme with the intention of using Icon with stack 10. I have two questions regarding this theme.
The first is how easy would it be to have a slider in place of the main home page image at the top? Same size, just a slider of featured article images.
The second is, how easy would it be to integrate a masonry style grid underneath this slider of featured projects? And having the main portfolio page in masonry style?
Thanks in advance and great work so far on this project!
Mark
PS. I aim to create these changes within a child theme which I have experience of developing.
Hi Mark,
1) It wouldn’t be hard to replace that image with a slider, however there is not a way to pull through recent posts in a slider that size. We do have a Recent Posts Shortcode that could be used somewhere else on the page however.
2) That would require customization. Out of the box the two masonry options are for the blog or portfolio index pages.
We recommend and provide child theme templates in our member center for all customizations so good plan on that front
Many thanks for the kind words!
Thanks a lot for your quick replies, that’s helpful. I will look at my options and hope to purchase shortly. Thanks again
My pleasure
We look forward to having you on board!
I have read all the VC stuff. I want to use the standard version of VC so I can use ultimate VC addons and keep the plugin up to date. I need to know what doesnt work with the default version of VC.
Hi There,
We have reworked VC to work with our Shortcodes only allowing our customers a drag/drop way to build pages using their interface (as the plugin is created to be customized on a theme by theme basis). As such, we do not support the standard version or extensions to what is already a 3rd party plugin, however customers are welcome to do their own integration with the standard VC plugin and any additional extensions they wish.
Your kidding me right? Why are you giving such evasive answers about this? I know its not supported and I know you guys have also installed the default version yourselves just to see what does and does not work properly. You are losing more sales by giving an evasive answer instead of just telling people “if you install the default vc your going to lose A, B, C, D”
There is no other way to answer it when the answer is that we have completely customized the plugin to work with X, so we have not tested the standard version nor extensions to the plugin due to how it is used in X. As it is marked on our listing that we only support and guarantee compatibility with the integrated version, the standard version would fall under our 3rd party plugin rules which state that any well developed plugin should play nicely with X, however we can not support or guarantee compatibility for tools not first developed or tested by us. If you are looking for a theme that integrates the standard version of VC, you will need to look elsewhere. If you are looking for a theme that integrates a very custom tailored experience for our customers in using our Shortcodes, X is a great option. As you may already kn
Hi, i saw http://theme.co/blog/ and i was wondering what theme/stack you used for your blog, and second, can we achieve the same results with x? Thank you
Hi There,
That is a custom build we did for our blog…glad you are liking it
Hi there,
Just bought the theme… AMAZING! I want to completely duplicate the ICON main theme that you currently are demo-ing. My site (pierreandrews.com) doesnt have the same page title and body font as in the demo icon site (http://theme.co/x/demo/icon/1/pages/team/).
1. how to upload and essentially create an exact duplicate of the demo ICON site and customize it from there? 2. how do i have the same fonts present in the ICON demo theme
Thanks!
Pierre

Hello,
I am having some difficulty with this theme and the Visual Composer “Ultimate Add On” plugin, its not playing nice with each other at all.
Is it possible to install a “clean” VC version with X-Theme?
Hi There,
We support the customized version of VC that is included with the theme as outlined on our listing. Please be sure to read this article in our member center for more info. If you haven’t registered for access yet, you can do so here.
Cheers!
Great theme !
Can i have the same design as this site with X Theme:

Thanks !

Hi there, I have a question regarding customisation & updating the theme… If I create a site for a client and make custom changes to suit their brand, will I lose them when the theme is updated or when wordpress releases a new version? I get confused with child themes and would not want to spend hours of tweaking settings ( maybe even minimal css modifications) and then lose them… thanks in advance, this theme looks great.
Hi There,
Child themes are the answer to that dilemma, and we not only recommend our customers use the, we provide starter child themes as well as instructions for how to use them in our member center. This way you can make any sort of modifications to the theme you’d like and not have to worry about future updates overriding those changes whether you are manually or automatically updating.
Cheers!
Thanks!

hello , i am building a site for my company and what i do is build work out programs for athletes online . my question is with the regular licenses am i able to have clients pay for the programing on my site then get access to another area of the site thats not open to the public ? thank you .
Yes, indeed…you are welcome to build what sounds like a standard membership site with a single regular license of X.
Cheers!
Just one more question. How much disk space a typical installation of the ‘X’ require or occupy?
X is a standard theme size (as themes go), so a few MB in terms of actual disk space.
Which version of Visual composer and Revolution slider comes with this theme. I also want to know if visual composer Version 4.3.4 is compatible with this theme. Thanks
Hi There,
We integrate a customized version of Visual Composer as explained on our listing and that is the version we support/update.
Revolution Slider is kept updated if there is a new update available when we update the theme.
Cheers!
Hi there,
Wordfence is generating numerous alerts on X theme and Visual Composer today. Can you confirm these are false positives?

We use Visual Composer as it is with slight modifications to make it compatible with our Shortcodes. In the source code Visual Composer developers add the link to their Codecanyon page which is this URL: bit.ly/vcomposer
This is a common practice between developers that they add their product link in the comment section of source code which does not do anything programmatically and is just an informative feature.
Now we have found out that the main page of Visual Composer product inside Codecanyon which is bit.ly/vcomposer is for some reason being detected as having a malware by Google (it could be an issue with the fact of using bitly as the URL), and that is why plugins such as Wordfence warn about this as it replicates same errors.
The important point is that this is not a security issue with the theme (or even with the plugin really). It is simply a comment in the plugin files and not actual PHP code. We also know that the main sales page for Visual Composer – where the link points to – is in no way malicious as it is hosted over at CodeCanyon, part of the Envato Market network of sites. Either way, we will be in touch with the Visual Composer folks to see what they will do about it.
Thank you for the quick follow up. I’m sure this will be appreciated by Wordfence users who also use X. I’m assuming the same is true for the .js files contained in the framework folder for the X theme?
Yes, it appears directly related to the use of bit.ly links. We have updated the bit.ly links within the theme and will push those out in the next update, however the issue appears to be something with just the use of bit.ly at all as that is the common thread we are seeing so far (which as you know bit.ly is simply a redirect tool).
Hi, I want to refresh my organization web site without changing colors and all positionning. We also want to add a Calendar Events and we need a gallery photos. Theme must be avalaible in French.
Here the original printscreen of the web site: http://carolineguenette.net/printscreen-cf34.pngI have a programmers background but it’s been a long time since I did web programming (CSS, PHP). I want to customize a theme easily, and with a mimimum of CSS “positionning” modifications.
Do you think the X theme can be easily used for my purpose? Thanks.
Caroline (sorry for English mistakes…)
Hi Caroline,
Our demos and features give the best example of what is possible out of the box with X. With regards to 3rd party plugins, we can not provide support or guarantee compatibility with all 3rd party plugins, however customers are certainly welcome to extend the functionality of their X-powered sites with 3rd party plugins as many of our customers do (we simply can not provide support for that part). We provide our customers with language translation files that allow them to translate the theme files to a respective language of their choice, but again that is each customer’s responsibility.
Thanks
My pleasure
Is it compatible with Wordpress 4? What about SEO?
Yes as outlined on our listing, and please be more specific with regards to “What about SEO” and we’ll be happy to help.
Hi
I am new to Wordpress.
Is it possible to add pages like ‘Services’ and ‘About’ us to the No. 8 demo of the ‘Integrity’ stack?
Also, I would like to create a glossary / dictionary of idioms and proverbs of a non-European language, where I would like to add the audio recording of that proverb in each entry. These will be short clips of few seconds with only a visible & clickable ‘speaker’ icon beneath each entry, but there can be many of these in each page. Is this possible in ‘X’, and especially in the No. 8 demo of the ‘Integrity’ stack?
Also, I would like to present the alphabet of an Indic language in a ‘table’ format, where each cell next to each letter of that alphabet will contain an audio recording of that letter pronounced (clickable ‘speaker’ icon). Is this possible and doable easily in ‘X’, and especially in the No. 8 demo of the ‘Integrity’ stack?
Hi Monmajhi,
We replied to your email with the same questions. Cheers!
