I love the theme but have a few questions (I can’t seem to login to the support forum for some reason even though I’m registered on there)
I’m using the 1 page layout for the home page and I’d like to have a row with portfolio items but I don’t see an easy way to do this. Also seems like I’ll need to get a third party plugin for any type of image gallery to go on the front page as I don’t see an image gallery short code or options with the theme. I don’t know why I assumed this would be there but it doesn’t seem it is unless I’m totally missing it.
Is there a way to pull the portfolio into a row for the front page? I don’t need the full portfolio but it’d be nice to have something. This is a great and exceptionally robust theme but I’m finding myself frustrated at the lack of options for pulling specific content / vc short codes. Also the theme could use some work in the blog area at least with specific widgets. It’s frustrating to have a theme with so many options and be forced to use third party plugins for the small things that are so standard elsewhere.

The license is for a single use, so if you wanted to use X on say 3 sites, you would simply buy 3 regular licenses.

I heared that visual composer is integrated in the X-thems ,that means I don’t need visual composer License? Is that right?
We provide a customized version of Visual Composer (to use with our Shortcodes only), and that is included with your purchase (and is optional to use).
I really, really like the theme and features, especially the megamenu and support, but was hoping to see modal windows (via button or text link). Just adding my voice to those who hope to see that feature included. I like to use them for short case studies, awards details, forms, and product sheets, PDF in iframe, for example.

I have a question about menu positioning if ubermenu is used.
I would like to replicate your single scrolling page > video header > down button > page scroll up > menu appears on top of next page functionality.
But I’m concerned I’d lose that by replacing your stock menu.
Is there a way to retain that using basic menu positioning? If it’s possible I’m happy to buy.

We do not provide support or guarantee compatibility for 3rd party plugins. Customers are welcome to use any 3rd party plugin they wish as many do, however our support only covers plugins integrated into the theme in some way. We also have our own mega menu functionality so that is the functionality we support and provide to our customers out of the box.

Hello Theme.co I can’t get access to the forum.
I purchased and installed X a month ago and have been using the forum regularly (even earlier today) and all of a sudden I get a message saying that I need to upgrade???
Can you please help me with this? The sooner the better

Where is the link to submit a support ticket? I logged into the theme.co support site but don’t see a link to submit a question.
UNTRUE STATEMENT IN SUPPORT The information at link below is not true. I use a several other themeforest themes and switch back and forth between classic and composer with ease hundreds of times with NO problems.

The information on that article explains troubleshooting issues that some users face when using VC. For how VC is customized to work within X, please see this article. VC is meant to be customized on a theme by theme basis and we have integrated it into X with our Shortcodes only allowing our customers a more visual way to build pages.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I forgot many forum buttons are at the bottom of the page. Confused as some themes use “ticket system” and some use “forums.” Anyway, my bad!
On the Visual Composer Issue – I wish all ThemeForest sellers would boldly state in their marketing whether VC is “customized and classic editing is not possible” or VC is “seamlessly integrated and switching between classic and VC is possible.”
I purchased at least two themes I will never use. VC is nice for easy layout, but IMHO is time consuming and cumbersome for detailed formatting. Understand everyone is different – would just like to know before I buy.
I realize that’s not particular to you guys, but up front disclosure sounds like a great idea that your users would greatly appreciate.
Not sure where I could submit that idea to Themeforest, but I’ll hunt for it.

I purchased the theme but can’t log into the support area, WP is stating that ‘The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.’
I can log into Evanto but not the x theme post purchase support area.

It sounds like you are uploading the wrong file (don’t upload the all files option just the theme) or it’s an issue with your hosting provider. If you are having trouble logging into our support area, please contact us, and we can send over instructions for verifying your account.

Hi,
I have emailed and already had a response and set up my theme.co member account (super fast reply by the way!!). I’ve tried FTP uploading just the wordpress files (downloaded from the purchase email link) but now its stating the css file is missing. I will see if I can increase the upload size in the php.ini

I uploaded it again and it worked? All sorted thank you, think I may have uploaded the files as ASCII by mistake, changed to auto file type and it worked a treat – Was my fault not the theme.

gmetrix rated your demo site as As and Bs for everything except Defer parsing JavaScript where there were slowdowns during initial page load. Also there are 16 external Javascript scripts. Just wanted to check if any steps were being taken to address these performance issues and make this an A+++ theme?

Thanks for your interest in X! We are certainly always on the lookout for ways that we can better our loading times with the theme, and have already gone through many iterations of improvement since our initial launch some that you can read about here. With regards to deferring JavaScript, this is certainly something we’re looking into implementing into the theme going forward, but WordPress has no “native” way to do this with scripts, so we’re currently investigating the best, most standards compliant way to do so, and also ensure that it won’t cause any issues with the reality that we already concatenate and minimize all of our JavaScript files so that our users don’t have to (again, for peak performance).
Regarding JavaScript includes, the theme itself only enqueues a couple of minified files out to the <head> and near the closing tag (the scripts included in these files are dependent on where they need to run in the theme). This is done to ensure the least amount of HTTP requests as possible. Beyond that, WordPress enqueues certain scripts separately (such as jQuery, which is required and cannot be removed as a best practice) and plugins enqueue their own scripts (Revolution Slider and Contact Form 7 are active on our demos, which include multiple files; also, we showcase BuddyPress and bbPress among others on our demos, which output more of their own files). This is unfortunately, part of the nature of plugins is that their functionality is separate, and thus must be included separately. Our demos are a rather “extreme” example of this as we have many plugins active to demonstrate certain features, but most sites will not utilize as much as we do.

What DA hell man, I have purchased the domain, registered on Theme X with my Envato user and Purchase code, but NEVER got an email with my password…?
So now I can’t rester since it says that purhcase code has been registered, and I can’t sign in because I have no password.
Also, I have installed the theme to wordpress, but haven’t registered w/ the API because i don’t know if this is the one I want to use it with. However, I have no access to VC when I go to my pages, all I can do is edit the site real time from the Appearance > Theme > X theme page but this doesn’t actually allow you to do anything major.

If you are having trouble accessing your Themeco member center account, please contact us with your name/email, and we can send over instructions for accessing your account. If you never received the email with your username and password it is something with your email provider as we have hundreds of new people join weekly through that process.
Hi, your main demo site appears to be a one page scrolling site. Very nice but there is no “Up” button for users to get back to the top of the page where the menu is.
Is there an “Up” button at theme level? Or is it possible to make the menu sticky so that it scrolls with the page?

The fullscreen video option is integrated with Revolution Slider in order to work so yes, you can absolutely just use a slider as the overlay you see on Integrity 01 for example is all controlled with Revolution Slider.

You would not need to purchase it twice. You would only need to purchase additional copies if you were going to use X on multiple sites. Say you had 3 sites you wanted to use X on, you would then purchase 3 regular licenses.

No, since working on the site on your laptop is considered a development environment (where you can work/configure the theme for the ultimate production site). You would only need to licenses if you were going to use X on two different domains. If you are only using X on one domain, you will just need one regular license.

I wish to purchase “X” and test drive the theme at dev.example.com before rolling it out to example.com. Will I run into any licensing problems when I move away from the dev subdomain?
Hi There,
Each license allows you to generate one Themeco API key (to be used for automatic updates, etc). For validation purposes, you would need to revoke the API key on the subdomain when ready to move to production. Keep in mind you are certainly still welcome to work concurrently in a local and production environment (and can always update the theme manually), however from an automatic update standpoint this can only be used on one domain or sub domain at a time per license.

Greetings. I purchased this theme, but for now I don’t plan to register because I even have doubts with the registration process. So I prefer asking here.
1. Is license linked somehow to the website. I don’t want to register the theme yet, because so far it’s not fitting my needs. But I don’t know what will happen if I activate the license in the theme and I uninstall it to use it in another project in the future. Bottom line, theme is not fitting my needs, but I can’t ask for support because I have to register it first. Not sure what will happen if I need uninstall the key to use it in the future in another project. I understand that the license is purchased to be used only in 1 project, but will I be able to reuse the license even if I activate it ?
2. I noticed the builder functions only work with pages. Do you have any plans to add the builder ( the backend editor) to work with blog posts and portfolios ? Otherwise, it’s very deceiving not having a good feature with all the possible options. This just makes posting extremely complicated.

1) The license is for a single use, and you must validate each purchase in order to unlock automatic updates for one domain. If you chose, you can revoke the API key generated in your Themeco account and apply it to another domain, but if you have only purchased one license, you will only be able to generate one API key for automatic updates. You are not required to generate a API key to use the theme, however you will not be able to automatically update the theme or use future features for verified customers.
2) No, the builder is meant for pages only. You are welcome to use our Shortcodes generator in the content area of any WordPress post or page, however the page builder is only meant for building pages as is common knowledge and the name itself – page builder (not posts or portfolios).
