Hello! Is there a way to have the customers name shown somewhere on the site when the customer is logged in? Maybe the top header – something like “Hello [customers name]. I can see that the site already does this in the “My Account” area.

That would be handled from the WooCommerce plugin and it is not a default feature. Although, I would recommend searching for a plugin that may offer this feature, or you can ask on the WooCommerce support forums to see if anyone has a solution for that.

Hmm there is not a tutorial we have for this yet. You would need to create the form using one of those plugins, then insert the shortcode into the sliders

Hi, I read your customer’s comments and i noticed that they have an issue with the problem:
“Import Failed” Most likely, it cannot work with your webhost. You will have to ask your webhost to increase your PHP max_execution_time (or any other webserver timeout to at least 300 secs) and memory_limit (to at least 196M) temporarily.
And i found that my Hostgator Webhost cannot be set higher than 30 on shared servers and your php memory should already be set to 256Mb.

However i still want to buy your template today because i already have funds in my paypal. is there any way you can do about that to fix this issue?

Hmmm they should be willing to increase that, even if it is just temporary for the import. However it still may work so it is worth a shot.
And if it does fail due to low php settings, then you can import the XML file separately as well as sliders separately. And if you use our page builder, it has individual pre-built pages you can add with one click, and our doc post here has links to individual pages: http://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/demo-content-info/import-individual-pages/
If you run into issues, signup and post on our support forum and explain the info about HostGator and our staff can help.
We also have a Host Gator account for testing and have been able to do the import.

I purchased your template bro because i love it.
On my first attempt I’m seeing ” Import Failed” on Importing the Demo Content so i re installed the theme,but on the 2nd Attempt I have successful Importing the Demo Content. However i deleted manually all the files from the demo content because I prefer to use the pages import. 2. I have an issue from the template “page one” or using the Fullwitdh container Background color because everytime i added a background color once i published the blog the color wont show.

1. Yes it has installed correctly. You can manually delete pages or post or other content if you wish, the main install will not be affected. And if you want to get any of it back you can use the pre-built pages in Fusion Builder or copy them from our online docs.
2. Ah this is due to a bug, which has a solution here: https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/avada-3-6-2-page-builder-issues/
Apply that fix and it will all be well. It will also be included in our next release coming in about a week.

Morning, pre-sales question please. On your latest demo, in “Light” demo mode, under Shortcodes there are: Modal Popup. Popover and Image Flip. But, on the Dark demo setting this does not appear to be available.
Are these available on the Dark version also and just missed out on the menu or is there a specific reason why they are only available on the Light version.

Yes everything you see on light demo is also included with dark. We just did not keep dark demo you see online updated as we did light. But it is all the same theme and setup, the dark just shows a darker color setup.
In the future we will have the main “classic” demo as you see now with the light demo. This will hold all the shortcodes, portfolios, blogs, etc and serve as the “main” demo showcasing all that info. Then we will have industry specific demos, like the new “Agency” demo (coming soon!) that represents a real finished site that shows you what the theme can achieve.

We’ve not tested that ourselves so cannot guarantee it, however it should be fine. If an issue does arise, we ask that you contact the plugin developer to see if it is a known issue with themes and if there is a resolution. And you can post on our support forum with any details and we can check it out and see if we can resolve it. A majority of the time it is something minor that can be changed.

Hi there, I would like to have a boxed layout that is responsive when viewed on mobile. At the moment i use the boxed global setting and when i view the website on my mobile the site is still boxed. How can i stop this. I wish it to look like the demo boxed sites, so that when reduced to mobile it fills entire mobile screen. THanks

The issue is that mobile devices are not wide enough to show boxed mode. The boxed mode on the sides takes up too much room and squishes the content. Boxed mode is fully responsive, but on mobile devices like phones, the boxed edges cannot show due to limited space.

I just installed Avada template and its plugins, so, when i try to open the menu options in the dashboard i got this error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 267382 bytes) in <wordpress instance>/wp-admin/includes/nav-menu.php on line 1199
So, i change the memory limit in php.ini to 256M and the issue still happens, the wp-config has the option
define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );
So, i disabled the plugin fusion core and now i can to access to the menu options, but the contents in the webpage is broken, i see the shorcodes there.
How can i fix it?

The only thing that still hinders me from buying Avada ist the theme dependancy after using Avada features like shortcodes in my posts. It’s written that “best practice” was used here and e.g. shortcodes are part of the Fusion Core Plugin, but to what extend is it true? Am I able to change the theme without braking Avada shortcodes (when the Fusion Core Plugin is still activated)?
I don’t plan to buy a 58 Dollar theme and drop it after one year, but this possible “lock in” is a serious concern regarding the long term development of my site.

The shortcodes are included in FusionCore plugin, but if you switch themes there could be styling issues dpeending on various factors. We are also going to be doing more by making the plugin as portable as possible and including any necessary styles within the plugin itself.

Yes you can have multi-lanauge site with Avada, we fully recommend using WPML for this. We do not have a demo up for it, but basically using WPML it allows you to easily add a language switcher in the mani menu or top secondary menu that allows viewers to easily switch between the languages you have added.
It will look like this if used in the top menu, like in headers 2-5: http://d.pr/i/1ey2G It can also be placed in the main menu.
WPMl makes it very easy to manage the languages and we work with them directly to ensure it is compatible. http://wpml.org
You can also use plugin like qTranslate or Polyang, but their interface is not as easy and user friendly as WPML in our opinion.

If you want to use optimezpress 2.0 is not compatible with Avada theme … it gives you problems with immagin and css

in the old version of avada worked. I wrote long ago on the forum, you have not found a solution. I asked optimezz press, n’anche them have found a solution. I preferred to change the subject, unfortunately Pictures are important in landing ..
Nothing was changed in Avada that should impact OP. I replied to your older forum thread. But if this is an OP issue then I’m not sure what we can do, but will take another look at it.

I am thinking to buy it now, but just want to ask a question.
I am using iThemes security plugin on my freshly installed WP.
This plugin has an option to rename a wp-content folder, and I am not sure to do it or not. They say “Changing the name of the wp-content directory may in fact break plugins and themes that have “hard-coded” it into their design rather than calling it dynamically.”
My question is – how does your theme work? If I rename the wp-content folder will I be able to install and use your theme?

Those pages use a combination of blog shortcode and recent post shortcode, each allows you to pull blog posts from specific categories and show the thumbnail, title, meta data and more.

Each post shows the title from the shortcode, the main titles above them like “Featured Posts” are from the regular title shortcode.
