On the theme details panel here, it says “WooCommerce 2.1.x” but WooCommerce is on 2.2.8 already – is it just that the details are out of date here on ThemeForest? What is the actual compatibility?

Yes the 94%, which I think is 96% now uses GTMetrix. http://gtmetrix.com/reports/theme-fusion.com/8FCCJDx3
You will see varying results from each one but overall it is very good. Even 82% is good with google for a demo of our size. Keep in mind also that our demo home page is loaded with images and content and our demo uses just about every feature, most user created sites of Avada do not use all of that so scores will be even higher.
Another important factor is our style selector on the demo, this here: http://d.pr/i/dFHE That causes about a 3-4 point drop on any test you use. But that is only going to show on our demo, it is for showing users the various demos and backgrounds, etc.
In addition, we are improving it even more in future updates very soon!

Hmmm yes you are right, however I think this is due to our style selector, it should work fine in the theme itself. We’ll check it out today.

Just wanted to let the author team know that the theme is WP EasyCart Compatible, and there is an attribute you can check to show this on your theme. We are pushing a lot of our visitors over to themeforest to pick themes, and if anyone searches for easycart themes, it might be helpful for you and your customers to know it’s compatible.
There should be a new WP EasyCart V3.X attribute selectable, and I know kriesi and andon from u-deisgn have added these to their themes… just an FYI.

I have built a website on the free and basic version of Wordpress but I am a beginner for the most part on building websites. My plan is to move all the website content off the old site and re-build with Avada.I am considering the purchase of Avada but have a few questions:
1.) Is there any coding required for your site building software? 2.) So, if I understand correctly, I will be working with a combination of the Wordpress editor and your custom software correct? 3.) Is transferring from my old WP site to your an easy task? How long do you think it would take? (10 pages). 4.) What are Shortcodes? I saw them on old site but never messed with that.

1. No coding is required!
2. Yes pretty much, WordPress will be the same as you use now, but with Avada we offer additional tools to customize the site. Like Theme options panel to set colors, fonts, styles, etc. Page builder to easily compose the page with all the elements we include. Stuff like that.
3. It is simply a matter of changing themes. When you activate a new theme, your content will still be in tact. For example, blog posts or pages will show up. Now with that being said, there may be some things you have to do. For example, our blog posts use “featured images” for each post, they are the large image that shows up above the post title. Your current theme probably does not have that, so for each blog post if you want to use the featured image, you will need to select one in the post settings. But that is pretty minor unless you have like 100+ posts. For pages, your content will show, but if you want to use some of the layout elements of Avada, for example (tabs toggles, promo boxes, etc) then you will need to add those and insert your content into them. It just depends on what is on your pages.
4. Shortcodes are layout elements that you use on pages or posts to add content. They work directly with our page builder. There is no coding required when using teh builder, everything is a user interface with selection options. But for example, a button is a shortcode: http://theme-fusion.com/avada/buttons/ There is a “button” element/shortcode that you can put onto any page or post. You simply click it or drag it into the place you want, enter your settings like color, link, etc and save the page.

Before purchasing can you advise, does your theme play well with other Visual Composer addons listed on Codecanyon. Perhaps you cannot say if every plugin will work but perhaps you know of a list of compatible plugins or those that other users have confirmed work with your theme!

Yes we reply, you just happened to catch us in-between checking everything.
We have our own page builder called Fusion Builder and that is what we support and maintain. However you should be able to use other plugins as well, for example VC will work but it will not integrate with our shortcodes as Fusion Builder does, but you can use it out of the box as it comes.

Dear Avada team, is there a way I can insert widget on column? And also has the latest version of Avada being tested with Visual Composer 3.4.3, because I can’t run the site with Front End Editor as I used too. Or it’s just only me?

For VC, we’ve not tested that and do not officially support it but certainly would try to alleviate any functional issues. However we have not seen any reports of this on our support forum. You can signup and post on our forum for this, I would also recommend asking the VC devs if they know what is going on.

Hi, in the “Select a Header Layout”, 3rd option is to have the navigation with active highlights UNDER each menu item, however on mine the active border (3px) is always at top. Is there a way of switching from top to bottom?, I can’t find it – and your visuals don’t match what I select.

Also in case you did no know, the menu tab has a new option to control the size of that 3px border. You can set it to 0 for nothing, or any pixel size.
OK, no wonder. I thought I was going mad. It would be nice to be able to switch from top/bottom too, I assume I can do that in CSS if I look hard enough (I will do so). Thanks.
Yeah we’ll get that updated. I think that it may take restructuring of the menu and not just CSS. However I’m not the developer so cannot say for certain, but please post a new topic on our forum and our support gurus can tell you
Thanks, actually for those wanting to swap it, need only to add: border-bottom:3px solid transparent; That does the trick, obviously set border-bottom to 0px in your CSS if you don’t want both borders. It would certainly be easy to add as a feature in the future.

I see Avada 3.7 is ready… congratulations! I would like to know something. In the demo side header moves with the scrolling, can side header be fixed in the screen while you scroll up and down pages?

Yes the side header is fixed as long as there is enough room on the screen to show all the content. You must be using a shorter screen that does not show all the content in the header. If we kept it fixed in that situation, then some of the content would be cut off. So what we do is detect the screen size and if the content is taller than that or very very close, we allow the side header to scroll with the content.
If you check it on a bigger screen, or possibly even zoom out on your current screen, it will stay fixed.

great great theme! good job! Just a little issue for me … on my home page I have recent works that only load after I scroll the page down at the end… So it takes a while… and if I don’t scroll and just wait, it does not show at all.

I found the answer in your great forum… ” The first Recent Works shortcode had an animation applied, which means it will only trigger when it appears on the screen. I have set the animation_type to “0?, which makes it appear on page load”

Hi,
I am very interested in purchasing your theme, but would like to verify a few points first if possible.
I am trying to create a website where I sell several after-school program courses for elementary school students. One term e.g. lasts 7-8 weeks, and I would like to create a sign-up form, where I could capture various information about the child (name, gender, DOB, classroom#, teacher’s name, child release information, etc.), the parents (emergency contact) as well as process payments using Stripe. Basically I would like parents to sign their child up and pay the tuition during this registration process, where I would like to be able to integrate Stripe, preferably Stripe Checkout.
My requirements: (a) there will be several courses offered per term, and each class usually is once a week, EXCEPT during holidays, and the customer pays for the entire e.g. 7-week-term at once, during registration
(b) seating is limited -> there needs to be a way to limit the amount of sign-ups and once sold out, it should say as sold out.
(c) I need to capture various information from the user (child’s and parent information etc.) -> so the form needs be easily customizable
(d) I need to accept payments via Stripe, preferably “Stripe Checkout” (if possible) -> https://stripe.com/docs/checkout -> the payment should be the final step, and only after receiving payment, should the registration be complete
My pre-sale questions: 1. From the website I understand that your theme is compatible with WooCommerce, Gravity Forms, EDD, Events Calendar Pro as well as The Events Calendar. Do these integrate perfectly, so that the plugins blend in design wise into the site?
2. Here are some options we are considering: (a) Avada + WooCommerce + The Events Calendar + WooCommerce Tickets + one of the Stripe Plugins (b) Avada + WooCommerce + Events Calendar Pro + WooCommerce Tickets + one of the Stripe Plugins (c) Avada + Gravity Forms + one of the Stripe Plugins (d) EDD + EDD Tickets + EDD Stripe (we already own EDD Stripe)
Given my requirements, which of the plugin(s) do you think will work best with your theme and for our purpose?
5. Any recommendation for a good Stripe plugin, which possibly supports “Stripe Checkout”?

Thanks for the comments and interest! All of this sounds doable, but we have not tested any of the Stripe plugins yet ourselves. But gravity forms can definitely do what you need in the form area, and WooCommerce can handle the courses.
1. WooCommerce, Gravity forms have design integration, the others do not but will show their default styles. Depending on how you want it to look, you could use custom CSS to style any parts of the other plugins that are needed.
2. We’ve not tested any of the strip plugins so unfortunately cannot answer this. Woo and Gravity and Events will be fine. And most other plugins will be fine too, but since we’ve not tested them we cannot guarantee it. If an issue does arise, we ask that you contact the plugin developer to see if it is a known issue with themes and if there is a resolution. And you can post on our support forum with any details and we can check it out and see if we can resolve it. A majority of the time it is something minor that can be changed.
5. We’ve not used on yet so cannot say, but I have seen some users who use the WooCommerce Stripe plugin and considering you will be using WooCommerce, it would be a good fit.

Thanks for the update and new features but Fusion Builder is broken, I can’t save my page with Visual editor. When I save I’m back to old page without change.

We are using your Avada theme, that's good, but we expect you can add sitemap function and optimize this theme in order to increase the speed of site. Current we found the speed is not good , but we donot want to use any plugin to improve it , if your theme can do it by itself , that is very good ..Best RegardsHey!
For any multi-purpose theme, it is recommended to use a plugin to increase speed an minify files, like W3TC. I’m not sure why you would not want to use a plugin like that, the benefits are all good and there is no bad side. Also, the speed and performance is also determined partly by your content and your server and any extra 3rd party plugins you have running.
