The video guide (that one without sound…) dont show anything about to get the travel functions installed.
When i try, after pasting in the travel text, its do not show the cartype options right. It still shows the old dating things, how to fix ?
and, what about to create an proper video guide, with sound – That would be tight.

I have noticed that when logged in as the admin.. when you want to change a members profile picture by going to either.. users.. profile.. and delete picture orrr when on the members profile.. in the top heading bar.. edit member edit profile photo.. you cannot delete the members photo..
even when logged into the dashboard >users > select profile extended info and click delete photo and update.. their photo still stays.. a
any ideas??
whats the way for the admin.. or even a member themselves to remove their profile picture?
also noticed if I was to log in as the member as this is a test account.. if I was to change my profile picture and save this is fine.. but when I log back in as the admin and delete their 2nd uploaded photo the original photo then appears in its spot??
my original members when I click edit photo on their profile page.. the button does appear to delete the photo under the upload feature..
however for members who join after I updated to version 2.8 the delete photo button is no longer there under any of the membership subscriptions.. hope this helps in pinpointing the problem
It’s probably because wordpress uses by default, gravatar service. So if you log in with a user, which has an gravatar set up on their email, then their gravatar will be used, and yes, it can’t be deleted from our side. It can be overridden by an uploaded image, which of course can be deleted, but when you’ll delete the uploaded image, the gravatar will be there again.

and how come before the update to v2.8 my members when editing their photo from the front end.. it shows now.. delete profile picture as a blue button underneath the upload a photo..
its only when I have new members sign up to my website while it is at version 2.8 the button does not appear.. yet it does for every user that signed up ‘before’ version 2.8
something is missing.. as the gravatar option ahs always been there.. so if this has always been here then there should had never of been a delete photo button?
It could have been a problem/wrong check from the buddypress which they could have fixed or it could be fixed from our side, but from what i know our team didn’t changed anything in that specific part of the template.
I just made a check, and the delete button only appears if you have an uploaded avatar. The button doesn’t show if the gravatar is shown.
what about if a member uploads their own photo tho.. does the delete button appear then? as it doesn’t appear on my end.. plus if you go into the dashboard and go into a users profile and the extended profile.. when I try and delete their profile picture there nothing happens..
one last thing I did see a buddy press update.. can version 2.8 sweetdate take the new buddypress update verion 2.2.0?
Yes, users can upload their own uploaded avatars, and under user profiles, you have the “Delete Profile Photo” button only if the avatar is an uploaded image and not an gravatar.
The 2.2 version of BuddyPress just rolled out, we will do all necessary tests in order to confirm or release an compatibility update as soon as possible.
hi, sorry but I wasn’t referring to gravatar.. I was referring to users clicking the browse button to upload their own personal photo to their profile.. users can do this however I cannot seem to delete their picture.. the reason why im asking.. is if a user was to upload an innapropriate photo I cannot delete it.. that’s my main point. please can you advise. thanks
If a user uploaded his avatar, and the image file exists on your server, then HE will have the option to delete his profile picture, and YOU as admin will find a “Delete Profile Photo” button, under his avatar picture, under Extended profile info in backend of wp.
Another case where a profile picture can’t be deleted is when a user is connected with facebook. In this case, if you have enabled the use of facebook avatars, then their facebook profile picture will be used.

however I have tested this.. and this is after updating to version 2.8
after updating to v2.8 I made a new member and uploaded a profile picture.. I go to edit the photo and I DONT have a DELETE BUTTON..
I log in as the admin and go to the extended profile on the back end of the user and I click the option to delete yet when I refresh and go back to the users profile on the FRONT END the profile picture still stays.?
Now.. when I click on a users profile that had joined the website BEFORE the update.. I can click on their profile click edit photo and the DELETE BUTTON is visible?????

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, at maximum it will need a few extra styling in order to match our design. We don’t limit in any way how plugins works, so it’s up to you to decide if that plugin will suit your needs or not, or if you like the options they provide or not.
Then the user registry, uses the same database wordpress? because having custom fields perhaps for that reason I say that not to be combined

Yes it will use the same database, the deposited credits will be probably stored as usermeta fields.
You should better contact the developer of that plugin and ask it if it works with buddypress or whatever information you need about his plugin.

My question is about adding a link in the Membership Level>Description in Paid Memberships Pro. When I go to Memberships>Edit there is an HTML editor to edit the Description text, so I highlight the text where I want to add the link, Enter the destination URL, add the Title, and save it by clicking Add Link. The problem is that when a website visitor clicks the link in the membership description text on the Memberships page (../membership-account/membership-levels/), “membership-account/membership-levels/\” is automatically being added in front of my desired link URL, so users always arrive at a 404 error page instead of the intended page.
Please provide me with a solution to the bad URL problem in the link, or a work around, or anything to make the link actually work. I’ve already tried to find help from the people at Paid Memberships Pro, but so far I have not received any solution. Please help.
The link should be absolute like a href=”http://site.com/mypage.html” not just a href=”mypage.hmtl”
It doesn’t work. I do have the link absolute, but as I described earlier, it goes to a 404 error page. Please take a moment to create a similar link on your test site so that you can see the problem. Please let me know how this can be fixed.

1. Can we add more fields to member’s profile ?
2. Can we add a water mark for members profile image and all other images ?
3. can we hide the data of some most important fields ? Like Contact number. but there should be an option to “Ask” . Then if some one need to contact particular person he/she can request his/her contact number.
4. Can we get a copy of each email or whatever the info passing through the site to the site administrator? Then there would b a trace if we happened to face for fraud/misuse situation.

About the loading time. I have testen my website with gtmetrix.com and they want me to minimize redirects.

As you can see I have purchased an SSL certificate. I have everywhere in the Wordpress backend and named ‘https’ when the code snippet in .htacces didn’t do the job right.
However, I can;t seem to find the location where the redirect for the example link to the gif-image is located to I can manually edit this to https. Other redirects are the apple-touch-icon-14414490*90.png and some blogpost featured images.
I hope you can point me in the right direction in changing this.
