Dear Theme Nectar Team,
have two Problems. Im using the non responsive option for Mobiles.
1.By using a full width column with a paralax background-picture ans some text inside, everything works fine on Desktop, you see the picture in full width, but on mobiles you see just a part of the background picture, something around 10% of the width…
2.Inside my portfolio project (projectdesription as sidebar, on right side), on desktop everything works fine, on mobiles the description text appears on wrong position, not in the sidebar on the right side, it appers behind the last projectpicture…

1.Hey, im using Iphone5…i dont understand the problem, it seems the background of the column is not using the max width of the iphone…is there maybe another solution to get a full width background with textcontent inside, where the background isnt cutted on mobiles? thanx

Hello everyone….. Has anybody experienced an issue with woocommerce used on Salient during checkout when selecting a state from the dropdown for billing or shipping? I got WP/Salient/Woocommerce all up to date with latest versions and I cannot get a state entered. Cant type one in and nothing comes from dropdown. It happens on every device and browser. I submitted a login for Support to check it out but never heard anything. Google tells me others have had the issue but only in the past, not on current versions. Looking for any help. Thanks!!!

Okay my bad, don’t know why but the first time i tried checking the box to hide the featured image it didn’t work. But now it does. That’s perfect. Ang again amazing work. The theme / all the options it’s just wonderful.

I’ve installed Polylang plugin but I’ve a problem only on the product page of the english part of the site. When I click on the product page (Store), it doesn’t show nothing.
All the products is translated, I’ve checked all the CPT for Polylang, Taxonomies etc…etc… all works fine (cart, account, checkout) but the products page doesn’t work. I’m using woocommerce.

Is there anyway to enable shortcodes when typing in the page title? I want to use a first name shortcode to say something along the lines of ‘hi, firstname here’ I tried with a plugin but it just displays the actual shortcode, not the users first name.

The recent posts element doesn’t have a read more button by default. You’d need to add that into the shortcode-processing.php file located in the nectar/tinymce directory if you wanted it

Sorry, I don’t really understand what I need to do. I want to have the “read more” button like what you have on your demo site. I thought enable “Automatic Post Excerpts” will do that. I’m not certain when this happened, but it looks like the template files in /Salient/woocommerce/ are outdated as per this message in my dashboard.
“Your theme has bundled outdated copies of WooCommerce template files. If you notice an issue on your site, this could be the reason.”
The woo status tells me these are the template files in questions:
salient/woocommerce/cart/cart.php version 2.1.0 is out of date. The core version is 2.3.0, salient/woocommerce/content-product.php, salient/woocommerce/content-single-product.php, salient/woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php, salient/woocommerce/single-product/tabs/description.php, salient/woocommerce/single-product/tabs/tabs.php
I also noticed that my cart page doesn’t look the same as it used to.

Update – I just rolled back woocommerce to ver 2.1.0 and the Salient template styles and functionality work perfectly, just like your demo. So it is in fact woocommerce 2.3.0 update that clashes with the Salient woo template files and styles. I’m hoping you find the time to update these accordingly. Thanks again

Thanks that looks better! I still noticed on the product single page that there is no number field plus and minus buttons. Maybe that still needs to be updated in the template?
Also, not sure if this is due to the woocommerce update, but I can’t get the cart icon to display in my main navigation. Under the Salient options I turned it on at “Enable WooCommerce Cart In Nav” but nothing appears in the menu bar. Am I missing a step?

Oh, it looks like the cart icon is showing up. I’m probably a dummy and didn’t add anything to the cart first. I assumed it would show regardless. Still the other issue mentioned in my email though. Thanks again.

I try to use the Ultimate Visual Composer add on with your version of VC but nothing happens when I click on select link when I want the element to navigate to the link I want. I tried to use the Ihover function but I can’t select links there. I researched it online the issue and the add on creator says your version of VC is outdated and it needs to be updated. So I disabled your version of VC an everything seemed works perfect. However when I do that and install the stand alone version of VC the theme mobile menu icon that sandwich icon disappears and no matter what I do so far won’t show. It is clickable but its completely white, however when clicked the menu drops down. I tried to change the color of it even with !important nothing.
How can I fix that? Or can you update your VC so the Ultimate visual composer Ihover works on it?
I know its really specific issue and other than this the theme by far the best I ever worked with. It has so much answer to everything and already easily integrate into many client request. I have been using this theme since 2yrs now and still my favorite to work with Good job and keep up the good work.

I am trying to set up a gallery where each link opens a lightbox video instead of the featured image.
Just like this http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/gallery-only-example/I have tried using the image gallery but cant change the link.
I have tried the portfolio option but do not need the portfolio page to open. I only want the lightbox with a video.

Also, is there an option to make the Nectar Slider loop back to slide 1 when it reaches the last slide? ie after slide 7/7, clicking the right arrow goes to slide 1/7.

2. I’m not going to enable the frontend editor by default but if you used the raw plugin it would be there – it just wouldn’t contain the Salient specific elemenets

Greetings Nectar – we are developing a custom app using Firebase…they recommend adding their script to the header. Will that cause issues, or would you recommend wp_register_script (which is a js file link) and wp_enqueue_script in functions or child functions file…? Thanks in advance…

You could indeed add it into the header.php file but you’d need to do so in a child theme so it doesn’t get overridden in theme updates

Hey, great theme, working with it now finally, but have owned it for a long time. Quick question: I need the menu to go below the logo (next row sort of). How do you recommend to accomplish this? Would it be best to do via a child theme or custom CSS to preserve theme upgrade possibilities? Any tips would be much appreciated to accomplish this. We want to put social media where the menu is currently (next to logo) and menu below that row.

This wouldn’t be possible without significant modding since you’d need to mod the javascript as well as the css to accomplish this. It would be possible to keep it within a child theme though

I currently have a row that is split 1/3+2/3, when the screen width drops below 1000px wide it splits into two rows. Is it possible to keep it as one single row from 690px to 1000px?

looking at your theme and it is very functional.
I like full width single product page but it lacks product navigation. I know I can add sidebar but I do not like classic shop style.
What I see as opportunity if possible is to add product list (image or names) to the sidewidget area. Would that be possible?
Just to make sure I am clear, I want to add product listing to sidewidget area?

One more thing, is it possible to have fixed footer menu. So that the page has fixed bar on top and bottom and when the page is scrolled it stays fixed. I hope I am not asking too much
