Hi, I’m having a slight issue here. I noticed that the colour of the images I upload becomes dull in the thumbnail even when the original image is correct to look very vibrant.

http://www.edsablove.com/blog and the actual post http://www.edsablove.com/2015/02/mushroom-cafe-in-the-park – same thing the resized ones are dull while the original is vibrant.Initially I thought is something to do with the colour profile of the image, but we tried many means of altering the colour and it didn’t work.
I’ve tried regenerating the thumbnails, deleting and re-uploading but it still doesn’t reflect the accurate colour.
Then I went to “Media” and notice the thumbnail generated from the WordPress system is also vibrant: http://www.edsablove.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/20150210-mushroom-cafe-sengkang1-150x100.jpg. It’s only the ones (the thumbnail) in the theme that isn’t.
Is there a way to resolve this?

I can see the differences you’re pointing out but image resizing is fully handled by wordpress functions.
I found a snippet that you can test and see if it help, if not i will recommend you to do a more in depth research on the subject “wordpress thumbnail quality”.
Here we go, add it to your functions.php file from our theme:
function kleo_thumbnail_quality( $quality ) {
return 100;
}
add_filter( 'jpeg_quality', 'kleo_thumbnail_quality' );
add_filter( 'wp_editor_set_quality', 'kleo_thumbnail_quality' );
After applying this code you should re-upload or re-generate your thumbnail/images.

Unfortunately, that didn’t work… 
Then you can clearly see from the example you given that this issue is not related to our theme and it also happens on the other site using another theme ( as in your first example ).
This is a wordpress or a server related issue ( GD or ImageMagik library which takes care of image resizing on the server side ).
So as I’ve already said, you should do a more in depth research on this subject.

Hi, I managed to solve the ecommerce site’s one by changing the photo’s colour profile to sRGB. But using the same method, I can’t get the thumbnail featured image for the KLEO one fixed.
I’ve tried asking around in the forums as well, but they said to try contact the theme developer instead, cause change the colour profile should fix the issue.
Is there a settings that darkens the image or something?

Also, I have this weird issue with the redirecting. When I go to www.edsablove.com/wp-admin it redirects to page not found… this only started after I changed to KLEO.
Is there a way to stop the redirecting?
No, we don’t do any customisations or processing to the uploaded photos, we use wordpress built in functions only to resize images.
If you say you’ve been playing with colour profiles of your images then for sure the problem comes from there.

And about the redirect issue, if I try to access your wp-admin by the url you given, it redirects me normally to the wp-login page.

hi best wp theme designers is your search form Compatible with Multisite? for example if I search some term, it shows the results in all the network. and it will be better to show in groups for example. it`s the power your theme need.
The search functionality is the one provided by wordpress we just styled the way the box look. If you need any advanced search options then i think you should look for a plugin which deals with that.
And about the groups page, there’s a search box there too, but that one is managed by the BuddyPress plugin.

Do you think your theme would work with a multi vendor plugin? I think the theme is brilliant, exactly what I require. What I would like to do is extend the capabilities by adding a multi vendor plugin and build a marketplace. Unsure which multi vendor plugin at the moment though. IF you have any thoughts on this or know for sure if a multi vendor plugin works with your theme or finally if someone has asked before please could you let me know.

I can’t confirm or predict which plugin will work better but all of them should work fine because we don’t interfere in any way with how plugins work in general. At maximum, there might be the need of some extra css styling to match our design or color scheme.

It seems you have an upload limit on your web hosting. Please ask them to increase this limit to at least 20Mb.

Unfortunately, for the moment our main menu only supports 3 levels ( main menu + 2 sub menus ), because going deeper makes the menu very hard to navigate. If you really need this i would recommend you to open a thread on our dedicated support forum and we’ll try to see if we can give such a feature in one of our future updates.

I still haven’t gotten any help as far as my logo goes. i really need this to happen. my logo on top is so tiny. it says the logo size is set to 88px, i need it about 150px, and moved to the left a little just like my title site. this is a multisite, but i want all the pages to feel the same, so i’m trying to get the logo and nav bar to be nearly identical across both sites. I’ve searched high and low trying to find the configuration. why is it difficult to find? i need the logo position to look just like(or close to) routeyourtour.com, the site with your theme is members.routeyourtour.com. you guys gave me a little CSS and told me to play with the nav bar height. none of that works. please help me with this.

While increasing the “Main Menu Height” value, add the following css rule to “Theme Options>General>Quick Css”, which will block the height of the menu itself and will let your logo to expand in both width and height.

It’s still doing the same thing as before. i’ll leave it for you to see. it lowered the menu, but created a bunch of padding around it. you can see the little highlight bars below the menu is now separated from it…it was doing this before the CSS code was ever added. all i did was change the default 88 to 150

The code you pasted in quick css is wrong, you copied from the comment with some extra html tags which i think it breaks the rule i’m trying to apply. remove the “pre” tags from it.

I’m having a weird issue. your “theme options” disappeared from my dashboard. but when i view the site, i can see and click on “theme options” at the top. it then goes to tell me “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”?? I haven’t changed my admin status at all. i still have full access to everything else. any idea what would cause this?
not sure what it was, but i just had to reinstall the theme. all is good now. hopefully that won’t happen again. :-/
Probably the conflict was generated by one of other plugins that you might used beside our theme.

After you update to the 2.4 version of the theme, and install and enable the BuddyPress Cover plugin that comes bundled with the update, each user will have a button on their profile header to change their cover.

You either receive a notification to install/update additional plugins and you can give a look in your wp admin under “Apparance > Install Plugins” and see if you have something there left to install.

Bug – Adding hosted video background removes Visual Composer styling attributes (padding etc.) and also sits in front of content within the row – so when clicking on a button, it simply pauses the video – you are unable to select any items within the row.
Ultimate visual composer addons backgrounds also do not work with this theme.

I am still struggling to find out why elements in front of the video background are not clickable. Any suggestions for a quick fix would be greatly appreciated. Am loving the theme by the way – nice work!
Just had another quick look and figured it out. When using the background video, pointer events are set to none. Removing this fixes the issue. For your reference the CSS classes are: .bg-full-video .container for the pointer event issue.

I’m glad you managed to find a solution.
We removed any additional styling that VC does on the full video background, so that the video looks nice and stretch in the best way possible.
Regarding the pointer events on the video container, you are right, we should probably exclude links from that rule in one of our future updates, but just for your info, we added this rule so you can control the play/pause of the video.

None of the Buddypress functionality is working properly. The Registration and Activation pages simply don’t appear. The widgets aren’t working appropriately. Even edits on the actual pages themselves don’t actually appear on the site. Help!
