I am unable to upload my this theme to my GoDaddy windows hosting account through the “install themes in WP. I have manually FTP ’d the theme to my server and it seems to function just fine however the drop shadow artwork on the slider and background are not appearing in the preview. From what I can make out the artwork files are uploaded but just not appearing. It also looks like there are some artwork files missing in the striking admin panel.

Any ideas on how I can solve this?

Just upgraded to Wordpress 3.1 Now all the sub menus for the pages are appearing all over the website? It didn’t do this before.

To answer your question, I too tried to deactivate, activate a different theme and them switch back to the Striking theme to no avail. But because of an oversight I figured the whole situation out. I was putting a new page in and I forgot to select a page template and left the selection as default. I saved and when I checked the page it had a right sidebar. So it seems that the “default” option is the “right sidebar” layout.

So, mystery solved!

After leaving my previous comment, problems 1 + 3 seem to have corrected themselves… very strange!

I still need help sorting problem number 2 though – emails don’t seem to arrive in my inbox and the ‘text entering’ problem I mentioned above only seems to be in safari (mac).

Hi there.

Like the others are saying, I love the theme.

I just have a few problems/bugs.

1. I have a twitter feed in the footer – it works on every page apart from the home page, am I doing something wrong?

2. The contact form doesn’t seem to work when I place it in a page (see my contact us page). It is also behaving strangely, you can’t click to enter text in the email/comment part of the form. The only way to enter text is to TAB to it.

3. In one of my blog posts I have posted a picture, it works fine in safari but it doesn’t show in Chrome – all that shows is a shadow where the picture should be.

The web address is http://www.movingpicturehire.com (still very much under construction but I’m working to finish it ASAP ).

If you can shed some light on the problems I’m having it would be very much appreciated – I am running on the latest version on wordpress.

Thanks for the great theme. I have a question about the breadcrumb. My pages are all of the root but yet the breadcrumb lists them all under the blog.

For example

domain.com/about the breadcrumb renders as Home >> Blog >> About

Any ideas how to make it Home >> About ?

Thank you for helping me with my previous questions. I’ve changed my page background color to black and now I can’t see the text that I type into the contact form fields. How can I change input text color to white? I tried using the custom CSS below like you suggested on another post regarding this, but it did not work for me.

I stand corrected in that the right sidebar does show up on the demo page. I tried myself to switch themes and then back as recommended by kaptinlin, but I still do not have the right sidebar page template showing up. Did you have any luck?

Thanks for your reply, but I know I used to have the “right sidebar” option before I upgraded to the most recent release. In the live preview there is also that option listed.

Just tried to duplicate your problem and couldn’t. I only had one post ‘Howdy to a whole new world.’ I just created a new post ‘Leadership.’ I then put the Recent Posts widget in my footer. As you can see, the newest post – Leadership – is at the top. So perhaps you have a setting off somewhere. I’m sure you can get the issue fixed, but just know it may not be a problem with the widget per se. Hope this helps.

I have a small problem. I have searched your excellent support site but can’t find the answer.

When I use your “Recent Posts” widget in a side-bar it works as expected, i.e. newest posts at the top.

When I use it in a footer area it does the reverse, oldest posts first…

I’m using it to display posts from a “News” category so it obviously makes sense to have it display the most recent posts at the top of the list.

Any way to fix this?
