1. When you add a portfolio list to a page, all the portfolio items you have created should be visible in the portoflio list, and when you click on the “View” button of one of them it should automatically lead to that portfolio. You also have the option in each portfolio single to add a custom link so the portfolio in the portfolio list leads to some other page instead of the portoflio single page you have created: http://screencast.com/t/gP4cx8lc0cWW

I have made my site live, is there a way to reverse that and make the entire site (not just each page) private? Until I finish adjusting some things I need to.

You could enable Maintenance mode for your site. To do this, please create a new page and set it to the Landing Page template. Then add elements to the page and create what you would like visitors to se (for example some “Coming Soon” message. Finaly, go to Qode Options > Maintanence Mode, turn “Maintenance Mode” on, and in the “Maintenance Page” field choose the page you previously created and set to the “Landing Page” template. This way anyone who visits your site will just see the “Landing Page”.

Hi, I tried to change ‘All’ and ‘View’ in portfolio using codestyling localization, but I keep getting the message that I have no permission to make alterations. I suspect the plugin is not working anymore on currect WP versions. Any other ideas how I can change these words??

Hello, This is quite a nice looking theme. However, before deciding if it suits my needs, I have a couple of questions:
Today at least, the demo is painfully slow (confirmed by pingdom today http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/b5LfMj/http://demo.qodeinteractive.com/bridge/ with a 23 second load for the demo frontpage) and I’m guessing that’s because it’s overloaded with all manner of stuff. However, the demo speed is scary so I wondered if you have a list of working sites that use this theme, so real speed can be assessed?
Second, I was looking for something with a specific style: I want a simple page design with a fullscreen image background (single image on most pages, slider on 3 front pages) with a dark theme and menu, with semi-transparent text boxes (black with white text) overlaying the non-scrolling background images. I have to rebuild an existing site and retain the existing style, while adding responsive behaviour and a blog section. No parallax or any animations wanted other than in the menu.
Is this possible? Sorry to ask but there ae far too many style demos and I didn’t want to spend an hour searching them all for style examples.

1. Unfortunately we don’t have a list of sites using our theme. Regarding the demo load time, we have just tested our demo site on pingdom, and the load time i 3.96s on our side. Also, please note that in our demo all theme options and functionalities are enabled at once to demonstrate everything that can be achieved with the theme, so the load time on live sites using the theme should be lower still.
2. You could use our fullscreen sections template ( http://demo.qodeinteractive.com/bridge41/ ) to achieve fullscreen image backgrounds on pages, and you could use the Qode Slider to achieve fullscreen sliders where needed. Regarding colors, you have the option to set colors for most every element in the theme, so achieving a dark style should be easy. Regarding semi-transparent text boxes, this is also possible, but might require some custom css which our support team can provide.

Hello, I am working in a website that uses the bridge theme but there is a problem with visual composer. After I make a post and publish it the composer won’t load the next time I want to edit something in a existing post. I updated to the latest version but the same problem. Any idea?

i did an update to the theme and upon doing it the visual composer does not let me move things around like text block, separators, images, etc. i am not sure if anyone else is having this issue.

This is a known issue between an older version of Visual Composer and WordPress 4.1. You can solve this issue by updating your Visual Composer to the latest version. To do this you first have to update your theme to the latest version.
After you have update the theme you need to go to your plugins panel and delete Visual Composer. Then you will receive a notification at the top of your dashboard saying that some required plugins need to be installed. Install and activate Visual Composer via this notification and you will receive the latest version of the plugin, which should solve this issue.

Hey So easy .. 5 minutes & your done.
You nead 3 files (yourvideo.mp4, yourvideo.webm and yourvideo.ogv). Upload them with media or via ftp.
You need to put all them into Qode slider tab (left admin side, on top. )
Select video for type of Qode slide type (must be green).
After that, Qode slide video Tab will appear. Enter the full path of you video like this : http://yourbersine.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/yourvideo.ogv. Do that for all of them. Make sure you enter at right place ( ogv into ogv form)
That’s it brother! Enjoy

I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to get a background video landing page to work. Very frustrating both with self-hosed and vimeo. Cant get it to work and I give up.

To add a background video to a row on your page, all you need to do is go to the page in question from the backend and go to edit the row you would like to add the background video to, set “Video Background” to “Yes”, and then input the links to all three required formats (webm, mp4, ogv) in the appropriate fields, to make sure that the video will be visible in all modern browsers: http://screencast.com/t/vQ8ovNm17g
Unfortunately there is no option in our theme to add a Vimeo video as a background video on a row, only self hosted videos.

How do I upload your coming soon template as seen in your demo?
Hi,
To import the Coming Soon demo, please go to Qode Import and in the “Demo Site” field choose the demo you would like to import, in the “Import Type” field choose “All”, and make sure to check the “Import attachments” checkbox. Then just click import and wait for the import to finish.
To set some page you have created as a coming soon page, you just need to set that page to the “Landing Page” template, and then go to Qode Options > “Maintenance Mode”, turn on Maintenance Mode and choose your maintenance page (all pages set to the “Landing page” template will be displayed in the Maintenance page dropdown filed.

Hi, is there any way to change the URL for portfolio items? I would like to use this functionality for product pages – but do not want the references both in the URL (portfolio_page/) and the actual portfolio template to reference “portfolio.”
I am hoping there’s a way to manage this in to the theme settings – I have no interest in customizing the theme code!

You can change the “portfolio_page” slug by going to Qode Options > Portfolio and entering the desired slug in the “Portfolio Single Slug” field. After entering slug, navigate to Settings -> Permalinks and click “Save” in order for changes to take effect.
