What file would i edit to make hyperlinks underlined? when i post a link in my content, the link isn’t underlined, and i would like it to be. But i do not want the links in my sidebar or widgets underlined…please tell me what to change. thanks

I thought to drop a short comment to thank you immensely for developing the Voice theme. I switched over to it blindly after using another theme (which is great in itself) but Voice definitely suits the purpose better and with slicker results. I also really like the extent of its customisation.
On the latter note – I notice that when you change the navigation accent colour in the theme options, the colour within the default site logo changes too. Is there a way in the theme to do that if you upload your own logo? Or is there a specific way to design a custom logo so that it picks up the site’s overall accent colour? Any advice will be most appreciated.

You need to install bbPress plugin in order to have forum. Currently it is not possible to add widgets inside of module content.

Length of the post excerpts (post preview text) can be controlled inside the Theme Options -> Post Layouts. Here you can adjust the values for posts experts for desired Layout combinations and event enable of disable them if needed.

Great theme! I have an issue that popped up this week.When adding new users after updating their profile they would disappear from the dropdown.and search. I traced this back to a plugin, Simple Local Avatars. When I removed it the users all reappeared however the author images no longer show up in the authors box or authors image at the top of the page. When I go to add an avatar or image in the user profile, that option (upload image) no longer shows up and the result is that all author images are now blank. The profile info shows up, but no image. I have updated Wordpress and the theme. Deactivated all other plugins and the issue still persists. Thanks for any help you can provide.

The error is whenever I add the module in the first place, even just adding one single word then the rest of the pages content disappears. So I don’t think it’s content specific.

Today I uploaded a video post with a YouTube video, but the player doesn’t suit the theme very well. Their is a top bar on the video before start and it looks like its more strechted than the theme allows it.
Another thing is, the video post on the homepage slider is with a blank image.
Can you tell me what is the problem.
For slider, you need to set featured image for that post and it will be displayed.

There are plenty of newsletter plugins which you may use. It really depends of newsletter service you are using. Personally, we prefer Mailchmp for WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/
Regarding social icons, you just need to create a menu with custom links to your social profiles and theme will automatically detect links and convert it into icons. It is described here: http://demo.mekshq.com/voice/documentation/#menu
And the last, adding multiple colors to module has some technical limitations and it’s not possible at the moment.

We just re-launched our site on Voice at http://www.professorshouse.com/ and am pretty happy with the results.
I do have a couple issues I was wondering if you could advise us on.
1. I would like to add the “Title” of the post for the Alt Tag and Title Tag of featured image. I have tried a couple plugins that add this to images within an article, but not the ‘featured image. I found a post that says need to update the the_post_thumbnail() to the following… but can’t find that code to edit.
$title=get_the_title(); the_post_thumbnail( array(150, 150),array( ‘alt’ =>$title) );
Could you provide some input on this? As we have about 3,000 articles… updating the alt/title tags for each image would be a lot of work.
2. Is it possible to add modulus to pages like http://www.professorshouse.com/family/ as it contains 5 different categories. Currently we have “Family” as a category.. .and babies, children, adoption, education, pregnancy as sub categories of Family. If I make “Family” a “page”.. it screws up my URL structure as I can’t make categories a parent of a page.

2. Unfortunately, it is not possible since WordPress has its own technical limitations and creating a module builder in category is really hard to achieve. However, we will think about improvements there so you may have an option to automatically choose to display child categories on category template.

Thanks for taking the time to provide us with code to add alt tags to our images globally, it worked like a charm.
As for adding the ability to display child categories on a category template that would be so helpful. Right now our hands are kind of tied when it comes to showing additional sections within a category.

This means that something is maybe wrong with installation so first I would suggest just to re-install the theme. Or, it may be a conflict with some of plugins you have on the website, so please deactivate it one by one and see if it works to detect which one is causing the problem.

Our theme also uses redux framework for theme options and maybe it’s a problem with different versions. We will investigate this…

I have one pre-sale question. In any of the category templates from this theme – Is it possible to show full content of starter post ? By full content I don’t meant excerpt. I meant showing the regular post content for first post and then choosing a category template for remaining posts.

Unfortunately it is not possible at the moment. All the layouts are showing excerpt. But it really make sense what you are trying to do so we will consider adding option in Layout A (big posts) to choose whether you want to display excerpt or content. Hopefully, it will be done in the next update.

Hey Meks Team. I just noticed something wasn’t working right on my website. www.cigarmemoir.com
When you got to the website on Chrome on Android phones front page won’t load sometimes unless you have the “show desktop version” clicked otherwise it will just load a blank white page. If you go into other pages the same thing is happening unless you click the “show desktop version” in the options on good chrome for android phones. I am worried I am losing a big chunk my traffic due to this. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m almost sure that this is not the theme related issue. You probably have Jetpack plugin installed with “Mobile Theme “module enabled inside its options. I guess you just need to disable it and it will remove switcher for mobile and desktop version.

Mobile theme is most definitely not enabled on JetPack and never has been. Hmm…I wasn’t having this issue until the update of the theme. I’m just wondering if one of my plugins caused issue with the theme update.

I have just checked your website on iPhone 5 and it loads normally. Can you please give us some guidelines how we can reproduce the problem?
We don’t have any switching from desktop to mobile inside the theme code so that’s why I suspect that it is caused by a plugin. I know that JetPack has this option but maybe there is some other plugin which does the same thing.

Image sizes are cropped automatically to fit each of layouts. You will need to do some coding to change it. Can you please explain what you would like to do?

Not sure if we can add this possibility for standard page with sidebar because design grid is not fully compatible with it. But, you can add normal full width module and use our column shortcodes inside to get three columns grid. See: http://demo.mekshq.com/voice/documentation/#shortcodes

I just experimented with the modules and I have a problem with the html/text modules.
When I add post modules to a page everything works fine. But upon adding a html/text module the entire page turns blank. I tried inserting a title and some content, tried making the module one-column, tried putting it before and after a post module, but the page is always blank.

We have noticed a bug if the html/text is added as the last module. If it’s somewhere in between post modules it should be fine. Can you please confirm?
In my case, it doesn’t matter if the html/text module is added as the first module, last module, between post modules or even as the only module. The page is always blank.

Basically, in the area where it says “Publishing made easy!” you can use any custom content, so for example you can use a slider shortcode from any custom plugin.
