Sure does! You can activate a parallax effect when using our Content Band Shortcode (3rd example on that page). Think of Content Bands like your rows on a page. In the interim, you may try going to your WordPress Dashboard > X Addons > Extensions and trying to reinstall Revolution Slider. It may have been corrupted on installation, so you may also try simply deleting the folder via FTP and re-installing it.

We can’t give you a specific date on when we gonna release 4.0 but you can buy the theme now and will get the 4.0 update free of charge once it’s out. Let me know if you need anything else.

Customers can certainly use the theme in the meantime and update once 4.0 is released, there are simply going to be some changes with regards to our page builder so for those customers who are starting new sites and using the integrated page builder, it might be nice to hold off just a bit as there will be a wonderful new option in this regard. We can’t give any specifics on timeframe, but we are very close and will certainly be making a big announcement once everything is live.

Regarding updates, all updates are free for existing customers, so if you have purchased X now you will receive the 4.0 update for free when it is released.

So will you still be using Visual Composer or scrapping that, also what if i dont purchase until 4.0 is out or people whom have earlier versions do they still get the update for free, i don’t get what you mean. surely you can throw a rough timescale out there like in the next month?

We can’t let the cat out of the bag yet with regards to what will be in 4.0 as it is not publicly released yet, but there will be plenty of info at the proper time with regards to it and all new features. We also can’t speculate on time only to say it will be very soon – hopefully within a week however we can’t guarantee.

All updates are free, so anyone who has purchased a license of X will receive the 4.0 update. The only additional cost is if you wanted to use X on another site, you would purchase an additional license.

We are referring to VC as the Customizer is not a page builder rather the administration panel for your site.

Ok that makes more sense to me now, lol. I’ve never successfully been able to use VC anyway because of glitches or incompatibility, so I look forward to seeing what X-4 brings to the table. I’ve been looking at a system called Layers and it looks promising, but I digress. Thanks for the update!

If I understand correctly, you are asking whether you can use X to create a hotel site? You can turn X into any type of site utilizing a combination of our features, 3rd party plugins, and customizations. While we can not give estimates on customizations, many customers extend the functionality of their site and create all sorts of sites. Our theme is fully translation ready and you can translate WooCommerce to german with ease. We support WooCommerce but we do not have any experience with the “German Market Plugin” you would need to try out the plugin to see if it’s compatible.

That will be the first Theme for me. I don’t want to buy it, to see that it is not working with it. It there a possibility to give it back if its not working, or an alternative way to try it out?

If you’re trying to literally display posts marked as “featured” in the WordPress admin, this is definitely something at this time you would need to implement via a child theme either by creating a new template or shortcode and implementing it into your design. We do have our [recent_posts] shortcode, which you could look at to see if it suits your needs or use the base code as a starting point for your own custom shortcode if desired.

Keep in mind that this will require a bit of custom code and as such, is a bit outside the realm of our support that we offer as it’s heavy on the customization side, but hopefully this should help point you in the right direction.

Thanks for writing in! Shortcodes by their very nature are intended to output complicated pieces of functionality in a simplified manner, hence the name. For the most part, shortcodes are not intended to be modified much (X’s included shortcode functions are not “pluggable” for this reason), but some can be. You’re referencing the WooCommerce checkout page shortcode, which you should be able to update by altering their included templates. We alter some of WooCommerce’s templates on our own in the theme, so depending on what you’re trying to accomplish, you may have to look in a couple places to find the right file. You can learn a little more about this process here, in the WooCommerce docs (you’ll need to implement these via a child theme).
