Hi,
Great theme, congratz! I have only one question does this theme support multi language.
Regards, Nashik.
Glad you like the theme. Yes, the theme is translation ready and comes with a few sample translation files as well. Thanks for your interest.
Hey I like the theme, the one question I have is could I have a registration page for clients to register for our camps?
Thanks for your interest. Yes, you can do the same using Contact Form 7. The theme supports/styles the Contact Form 7 elements and hence you can create a custom form and use it in your registration page. Pls let us know if you have more queries.
Hi,
I really like this theme but I’d like to use it in a different language. Can you please describe me how I can change the language of the contact form?
Thank you in advance!
Glad you like our theme and thanks for your purchase. You can translate the contact form or any other aspect of the theme by adding the required translation for the words captured in the po/mo files in the {theme directory}/languages folder. You will need to use the free editor POEdit. The last section in the documentation gives some details on the translation aspect of the theme.
Hi!
Is there a multi-page demo?
Kind Regards
Thanks for your interest. The demo preview site has a menu item named Pages (top right of any page) under which many pages are listed. And under the Home menu you should see additional home pages App Showcase and Video Home which are additional single pages – all running within a single instance of WordPress created by the same user. Hope this is what you were looking for. Pls let me know if you have more queries and I will be happy to answer them for you.
Hi,
We have purchased your theme and cannot import the example setup via the xml file. I have followed your instructions but cannot see where we are going wrong.
Is there any way you would help us set this up? We are keen to get our new site live with your theme asap and the demo content would really help.
Cheers, Ian
Thanks for your purchase! Can you have a look at this video which walks you through the entire process and see if that helps? -
http://portfoliotheme.org/support/faqs/agile-theme-how-to-setup-theme-and-revolution-slider-youtube-video/There is also a read me first.txt file which may help further. If you still have trouble, pls send across a temp login to your site and I will have it setup for you. Pls use the bottom right box on my profile page – http://themeforest.net/user/LiveMesh to email me. Thanks.
Hey, thanks for getting back to me. After I select the.xml file and assign the posts to “admin” then submit, I just get taken to a blank white screen. Is this a memory issue on the server? If so, is there another way as we are on a shared hosting platform. Cheers, Ian
Yes, this is usually resource issue. For now, keep retrying since with each retry import loads a certain amount of data and data already loaded is not repeated and hence does not contribute to the memory usage. Usually I succeed with one or two retries but I have had servers with low memory configuration where I retried multiple times and succeeded.
If you need to do it too many times, you will have some issue anyway in future when running WP and hence good to do something about it once you have everything setup. At least, you will get to where you can keep developing while you talk to host about memory configuration. More information about memory configuration here -
http://portfoliotheme.org/support/forums/topic/unable-to-activate-requirements/#post-2390Hey
I have managed to install the demo content now. You are right, it was a server resource issue and all fixed now.
I was expecting once the demo content was installed to be able to view the code and change / copy to suit but it looks as through the menu links through to pages on your site instead.
Is there a way to see how you have laid out your pages?
Cheers, Ian
If you are logged in as admin and if you open the home page, you should be various page sections laid out on the home page and with edit links to each of the page sections. If you press edit button on the page, you should be able to see the backend code. Or else, on the admin screen, go to Page Sections tab and you should be able to see all the backend code. Page sections are quite powerful and very helpful in breaking down the complexity of coming up with a single page site. Pls go through the first section of the documentation to know more about these.
For menu links, pls change the links to point to your domain manually. If you go to Appearances->Menus tab in WP admin, you should be able to edit the links manually. Again, pls go through the very first section of the documentation which provides some more information on this. Pls let me know if you have trouble (you can just open a support request in the forum) and I will be glad to assist you.
Hey, thanks for getting back to me. I am loading in some Page sections and they look great. Is it possible to edit them in terms of background colours? I can see how to add in text / images etc but it would be great to understand how to change the background colour. Also, whenever I click on the Team section WP crashes. Do you know why this might be? Also, are you available for custom tweaks? Nothing major, just a few things outwith our knowledge base. Cheers, Ian
You can edit the background images, colors, set parallax backgrounds and its properties etc. with the help of the [segment] shortcode. Pls have a look at the documentation for all the options that this shortcode provides and how best to use it. The sample data has numerous examples of this shortcode and how it can be used.
For the team section, pls send me a temp login through email (through the bottom right box on my profile page – http://themeforest.net/user/LiveMesh) and I will take care of this for you. Not sure what’s going on there since we have not had anyone reporting this so far.
About customization, sorry – our hands are full at present. Thanks for checking with us.
Hi I have uploaded demo data ( agile-sample-data.xml ) but when I view example in wordpress, it only shows the blog page? Please help urgently!
Thanks for your purchase. Pls see the following video for complete setup instructions and live demo of how to replicate the preview site completely -
http://portfoliotheme.org/support/faqs/agile-theme-how-to-setup-theme-and-revolution-slider-youtube-video/Also the bundle comes with a read me first.txt file which should help you even further. Pls let us know if you still face issues.
Thanks. All Ok. Just one thing. How do i change the video in quote 3? Can i not just point a youtube domain to it?
Hi. I have downloaded a video from youtube & uploaded to wordpress. Its working fine however is it possible to mute the sound?
If you need to point a youtube video, I would recommend you use revolution slider for this or just embed the youtube video directly into the page. There is a video sample available from revolution slider that you can have a look (revolution slider directory in theme bundle). Revolution slider comes with quite a few options for youtube video embeds.
You may have to use a simple video editor to remove the sound if you want to remove the audio from the file.
I love the template and picked it specifically for the video homepage. That said, My video in the revolution slider shows in preview, but appears as gray box on site. The video does display on the other WP templates. I have spent a lot of time trying to solve on my own but am giving up. Can you help? The video is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9u5eR4Cmj0 or vimeo.com/85072374. I posted on the forum but have had no response.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. We found the revolution slider buggy and an overkill and could not get it to work reliably for video header. Hence we wrote our own custom shortcodes for taking care of this. The shortcode names are video_header and video_section. You can search for an example of the same in the agile-sample-data.xml file or in the page section named video 2 and quote 2. Pls let is know if you need further help. Thanks for your purchase!
Posted a reply in the forum. The shortcode will not solve your issue if you are trying to use Vimeo video since it is meant for videos uploaded to your own servers. I requested for a login so that I can take a look. The issue is probably the responsive video plugin conflicting with the rev slider. Should be fine with a minor fix -fixed it before for other templates but looks like the fix got left out from this one. Thanks.
Log in sent. Thanks for the quick response.
Thanks for the help! Looks like the problem was me not the slider. Really appreciate your assistance and looking forward to moving forward with this great theme. Thanks again.
You are welcome
Great theme, just a question. You can use a video background in parallax? Thanks.
Thanks for your interest. At present, there is no parallax option for video backgrounds. Pls let us know if you have any other queries.
hi! I don’t understand how people get back to the whole portfolio from a single item page.. Is it possible to:
1- add the whole portfolio again, underneath the item OR make a huge back to portfolio button?
2- can i change the aspect ratio of the images in the portfolio?
3- can I change the blog layout to horizontal, image + text?
4- can I make multiple portfolio’s OR show different categories in different pages?
thanks! Marije
Thanks for your interest! Can you please email me your queries (see bottom right box on my profile page – http://themeforest.net/user/LiveMesh ) and I will get back to you in detail as soon as I can. Thanks again.
On the portfolio page the “next project” call to action would be better suited at the top opposed to the bottom. From a user stand point you dont want have to scroll down; you should be able to view the image and from the same spot on the screen be able to view the image and click right to the “next project.” Is there a way to change this?
You can do so easily by editing the single-portfolio.php file and moving the line number 92
<?php get_template_part('loop-nav'); ?>
to line number 52 or 54. If you do not want to modify the core theme file, just create another file with the same name in your child theme, copy the contents of the parent theme template and then make the above modification. That way change will stay across theme updates. Hope this helps.
Hi,
There seems to be a problem with the Gallery used on the single page template; I’m thinking maybe a maximum of categories allowed?? I have 4 categories and everytime I add an image to my gallery, the images from the previous category I added disappear.. Very weird. See the béton estampé category:
http://www.excavationcooke.com/newsite/Thanks
Thanks for your purchase. There is no limit as such to the gallery items or categories. The shortcode takes an argument for number of posts (named post_count) and that probably is limiting the number of entries. Pls change that value and you should do fine. If you still face the issue, pls email me a temp login to your site and I can get it fixed. You can use the bottom right box on my profile page to email me. Thanks
I figured out why… for instance, the 2nd category isn’t showing, I have to scroll down a tiny bit more to make it appear.. Not sure it’s normal.
On your demo, there isn’t a gallery section on the first page but if you test it on my website, you’ll see what I mean – > Click on Realisations, it will bring you down to the Gallery section – do not scroll further and select the 2nd category, Béton estampé, you will see. Then, scroll a bit down and it appears. It seems to sometime appear right away when scrolling further and other times, you need to change cat and come back, then scroll down and it shows.
Lastly, there should be an arrow to go up to the top on the Mobile version? I guess I’ll manually add it.
I see the issue. We did debate this but for only a few items this works fine. For more than two rows better to disable the delayed load effect since the user can click on the categories filter before scrolling down completely and loading all items. Will send you the code to disable the animation if desired to avoid this issue.
Regarding back to top button, we disable the function intentionally to avoid it occupying the space on mobile device. On iOS devices at least you can touch the top bar of the browser to navigate to the top quickly and hence the button is redundant. Let me know if you still need it anyway and I can send one line code to enable it.
Hello!
Yes, I would like you to send me the fixes for both requests.
Thanks you so much!
Sure will do in next few hours. Thanks for getting back to us.
Here is the tweak for both the issues -
Portfolio section – Just put this CSS into Custom CSS tab in theme options panel or in the custom/custom.css file -
.single-page-template .showcase-section .image-area {
opacity: 1 !important;
-webkit-animation-name: none;
-moz-animation-name: none;
animation-name: none;}
For enabling back to top button in the mobile devices, you will need to make a small change in {theme folder}/js/main.js file. On line number 593 – change value 768 to 300 and the button should appear on the smaller devices too.
Great theme, congratulations! I have only one observation in Firefox version 26.0 the Customer logos disappear on hover accessing directly http://portfoliotheme.org/agile/.
Thanks for your purchase and glad you like the theme. Will have a look at the issue. Thanks for reporting this. Appreciate your help.
Is there a coming soon / landing page option?
Thanks for your interest. At present, there is no landing page/coming soon page option. Pls let us know if you have more queries.
Does the contact form support custom fields? If not, does the theme support contact form 7?
Thanks for your interest. The contact form supports a few basic fields like phone, email, human check etc. For advanced needs, the theme fully supports Confact Form 7 in styling/form and function. Hope this helps.
I’ve been in the game a while and I have to say this is probably the cleanest, most elegant and full featured theme I have ever purchased. Bravo to the author.
Thanks for the kind comments! Much appreciated.
Looks beautiful. You mention 6 Custom Post types. What are they? This is often a problem I run into where I don’t want a portfolio but rather a different custom post type and I end up having to hack the theme. What post types are already built in and is there an upgradeable way to change the post type slugs?
Thanks four your interest. The six custom post types are for portfolio, page sections, team, testimonials, gallery, pricing table, slider slides(Nivo/Flex slider) with intuitive backend GUIs for easy input of data. You then use the shortcodes or page templates to display the data.
For making changes like post slugs, I do not have an option for them at present. But to make it upgradeable, you just need to redefine the specific function which declares the slug of a custom post type in a child theme. The theme is mostly child theme friendly with the required checks to enable child themes to override its classes/functions. Hope this helps.
Hello,
Great looking theme. It’s one of two we are considering buying. Can you please tell me what level of expertise is required to implement the theme in WordPress?
Thanks, Pam
Thanks for your interest. It does require basic knowledge of CSS/HTML and good knowledge of WordPress. Pls let me know if you have further queries.
Clean and Great Work! GLWS!
Thanks!
Great theme. Thank you for the hard work. One question, I need to change the width size of the two column layout. I’m coming from another theme and have way too many images to change at this point. I don’t see any option. Is the best solution just a custom css addition. Thanks.
Thanks for your purchase. At present the total width should be 1140px excluding the padding on both sides. There is no option as such to change the column size since I have not had anyone requesting it so far.
I am guessing you want to reduce the size (since if the images are bigger, the theme will resize them automatically to available width). The width is set via column classes we use everywhere and hence we may be able to change the PHP or add PHP to child theme to incorporate a difference column class to reduce/increase size. If the images are of sufficient quality, you can always do a img { width: 100%} on that page layout to force the image to occupy full width.
Do let me know if you need further help on this with the actual site URL and I can provide more specific suggestions.
I will try and adjust using CSS classes and see how it goes. I’m testing the changes locally so I don’t have a link to send you. But I’ll come back if I have issues.
A quick question. On the demo under more work. Are those three 3 panels made up of individual portfolios that are then put there using a shortcode. I would really like to replicate that with 3 videos. Thanks.
Those 3 panels are actually not portfolios but a section with product or services information that you want to highlight on your site. To change it to a video or a different image, pls edit the page section named “Marketing” in the WP editor. When you are logged in to your site and view the home page, you should see an edit button on the top right of this section. Thanks
