Thanks for your purchase. They do show up now. But I see that there is a script error in the page since some of the menu items do not have link URLs set (or set as blank). Pls set them (last time I checked I could only hack WordPress menu to not have URL otherwise, URL was a must for all menu items) and the error should go away.

I see only one script loaded by theme in the header – Easing plugin (out of 10+ other scripts which load in footer) . Rest of the scripts loaded in the header are loaded by WordPress Core or by the plugins like Revolution Slider. In fact, it is a requirement of themeforest submission that we load only the really essential scripts in the header and defer loading all others to the footer. So, there is not much theme can do in this respect. To increase speed, I hope you have enabled caching and compression on your site to start with.

Google map shortcode tries to replicate the share and embed function of Google Maps. You can as well use the same feature as explained here -

Are you using the latest version of Appdev? The tab should be above Comments tab. Hope you see tabs like Pricing Plan, Testimonials which are custom post types rolled out in recent versions of Appdev to simplify site development.

You can do so with the following Custom CSS in the theme options -

it didnt work , I placed that exact code in the custom css and the nav font still looks the same. http://id9app.com/ is where I have the theme installed.

I did not see the code pasted into the Custom CSS – it is not reflected in the page. This should still work -

This issue is happening in the version 33 of chrome. We have a fix for that here http://portfoliotheme.org/support/forums/topic/occasional-fonts-display-issue-on-chrome-33-build/ . This font display issue is happening with fonts and font icons as well. Pls try the fix and let me know how it goes.

I hope you have received my email that I sent many days back. Here is what I sent in case you haven’t received it.

1. The Blog, i know how to create a blog post. And it appears to show up on the blog page. The issue is that once the “post” is created and show up on the blog page , i proceed to click on the “read more” and only the blog page shows up, idk if its a link (new page) i have to create but how to i go about this? If i create the page, how to make it a blog page? like the ones you have on the demo? Is there a template? idk how to either create one or utilize one .

To create a blog page, you just need to create a page and assign it a template named Blog. In fact, if you load the sample data, you will get a blog page by default. The sample data also imports the blog posts. Here is the video for the same -

2. On the shop, products, carts, blog, there’s a default blue strip. How can i change that to a custom banner? Also, for other pages that may pop up like the 404 for example how can i change the banner that appears, essentially setting up a set banner or changing the banners for the pages i can’t seem to locate the banner options.

Sorry, at present the shop page cannot be customized since we do not have a separate template for the same. If you need to customize it, you will need to create a separate page template for the same.

The theme does not have a dedicated 404 error page created. Although it can be created as described here -

I would recommend you check some of the below plugins to create a meaningful 404 page -

3. Creating a portfolio page, i know you send read the document and follow the images but the images don’t show up even though ive downloaded it countless of times. How can i create one and edit? Alongside setting up the banner

Banner for portfolio/post/pages can be changed through the Header Options input boxes in the post/page/portfolio edit pages in the WordPress Admin. These options are located just below the visual content editor for the page/post/portfolio item.

You can add images through the ‘Add Media’ button on the top left of page/post/portfolio editor. Then you need to set the featured image. The documentation has examples with screenshots on how to accomplish this.

4. Short codes what are they? They seem important, how can i use them. i seen many time you respond to put the in the css or something of that sort. such as the lightbox

Shortcodes are just snippets of PHP code which are represented by a tag of their own in WordPress way. You would use square brackets to wrap shortcodes unlike regular HTML tags which are wrapped in < and > symbols. Using them is easy – just insert these shortcodes anywhere in your content in visual editor of the page/post/portfolio and the corresponding PHP code is executed for you. It is a nice way of enhancing the HTML, the WordPress way. They are quite extensible – can have unlimited arguments which can help customise the content generated. They don’t work outside of WordPress.

5. The team section, where in the previous versions i could disable the glowing follow me feature but i cant seem to disable it in this version. If it can’t be disabled, how can i change what it says?

You can still disable it with the custom CSS -

.team-member .team-member-hover { display: none; }

I have created the slider for you and have added the slides manually. Pls check. The slider import is failing because of a permission issue on your server and you may have to contact your hosting provider regarding this to get it sorted. Hope that helps. Thanks for your patience.
