We facing problems with code style localization wp plugin, did you know how I can fix it? Compability: Loading Issue: Author is using load_textdomain instead of load_plugin_textdomain function. This may break behavior of WordPress, because some filters and actions won’t be executed anymore. Please contact the Author about that.

Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch!

This is a common issue which you can ignore – if you send me an email with WP login details and site url to support@commercegurus.com I can send you back instructions as to how to deal with this.

Best,

Colm

On your full width product template there are 2 little arrow bottons to navigate to next or previos product in the same category.

It’s on the right upper side: http://captivatheme1.commercegurus.com/product/triple-threat-camden/?itemsidebar=none

I am using the left sidebar product page, and for some reason this function is not there, or at least I can’t find it ;-) How could I add this?

Thanks again for taking the time …

Hi there!

The next/prev buttons don’t appear on the left/right column templates at present by design.

We’ll add it to our future release roadmap to add in at some point :)

Best,

Colm

That would be great. Thanks. Is there a way I could add this manually?

Hi,

You could but you’d need to study the code in /captiva/woocommerce/content-single-product-no-sidebar.php

around line 73

            <div class="next-prev-nav">

                <?php next_post_link_product( '%link', 'next-product', true ); ?>
                <?php previous_post_link_product( '%link', 'prev-product', true ); ?>
            </div>

and then port that back into /captiva/woocommerce/content-single-product-sidebar-left.php and /captiva/woocommerce/content-single-product-sidebar-right.php

But I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re very comfortable with PHP, HTML and CSS

Best,

Colm

Another question. Is there any way to make the product category sidebar widget expandabel/collapsable for subcategories ?

I like the minimalistic style of the sidebar menu but I have many subcategories ... :-O

Hi Jan

Can you send a link to your site to support@commercegurus.com and I’ll see if I can help with a little bit of CSS.

Simon

Sent !

Thanks for the help. Worked out great!

Hi. On your demo page I saw a new “Home Smaller Slider” page. I have installed the latest version of the theme and also had the demo content installed, however I can’t find that page so that I could use and modify it (as I like the version with the smaller slider with the 2 image boxes on the right). What can I do?

Just sent it ! Thanks so much. Really like that smaller slider version.

Email sent :)

That worked perfectly! Thank you!

Hi there, I am considering getting this theme and I just have a couple questions before I decide for sure..

1. Can we change the background color of the footer area (instead of black)? 2. Can the shopping cart bag picture be changed? 3. Can we make the buttons not turn square (just stay rounded)? 4. Are there any built in options for tweaking the fonts? (font / font size / etc) 5. Can I make the product pictures square instead of rectangle?

I think that’s about it, thank you for your help :)

Gosh sorry I forgot to respond to number 5!

:)

Yes the thumbs can be changed to be a square from within WooCommerce settings.

Best,

Colm

Ok awesome thank you :)

you’re welcome :)

I have a question about the lightbox you guys use on Captiva.

When you click the image to see the full resolution or even a big size it opens as a NOT Responsive Image.

There’s any way that the image can be responsive when the user click on the thumbnail and opens the big image?

Exampl: http://www.thefashionistachic.com/p/falling-in-love-cropped-chiffon-baroque-top-navy/

Just click the image to see it on a bigger size, not responsive!

Thank You Guys!

Hi there,

thanks for getting in touch!

The lightbox is responsive – it’s one of a few lightbox solutions that is responsive. We use Magnific popup to achieve this. See more here: http://dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/

What is happening is that the lightbox loads the full size version of your product image and lets your device size it naturally. e.g. Try opening the same product image on a smartphone. The device scales the image accordingly.

I think what you’re referring to is that the image height is greater than the height of your browser? That doesn’t mean it’s responsive. What you would need to do is crop your images to reduce their height before uploading them into WooCommerce.

But to be honest I wouldn’t recommend you do that. I think your images look fantastic as is and the way they are being loaded is how they should be displayed. This is how most other WooCommerce themes also do this. If you wanted an alternative rendering for your images you could try using a zoom plugin like this:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/yith-woocommerce-zoom-magnifier/

Hope this helps,

Colm

See… you’re right. They look good and like the way they render. Im following your advice. Im not doing anything else about. Thanks for that great explanation!

You are most welcome :)

Safe to update to the new YITH plugin updates? And Woocommerce 2.2.3, seems to be some important fixes.

Hi there reboot!

Everything looks good on our dev servers! WC 2.2.3 and the latest versions of the YITH plugins with Captiva 1.4.1

Best,

Colm

After update to 2.2.3 I do notice this in the templates:

captiva/woocommerce/checkout/form-shipping.php version 2.1.2 is out of date. The core version is 2.2.0, captiva/woocommerce/loop/pagination.php version 2.2.0 is out of date. The core version is 2.2.2,

Hi reboot,

Ah yes – we’ll squash those in the few days. Nothing to worry about though. They’re just superficial template version number differences

found what I asked :)

Is it save to update to wordpress 4.0?

Hi there,

Yes it is safe to update to WordPress 4.0 :)

Colm

Hello, where can I setup the menu für mobile devices? On PC my menu is correct but on ipad/iphone its missing the shop entry ?

Hi there,

It’s not possible to do that at the moment as this is a shortcode and shortcodes cannot currently be placed on the default WooCommerce shop template.

Best,

Colm

Ok thank you. One last question. When I switch permalinks to POSTNAME i get an error (404). Only DEFAULT permalinks working. How to fix that?

Hi there,

This is definitely not a theme issue – you might need to contact your host to see why this is not working. We ourselves are using POSTNAME on about a dozen sites with no issue.

How to enable shop announcements for all the site ? Actually, they appear only for the category pages: http://www.terre-des-thes.fr/categorie-produit/cv1-theiere/kyusu/ Thx. Cyril.

Hi Cyril,

Nice to hear from you!

At the moment shop announcements are designed to only be displayed on category pages. We’ll consider adding an option to make these site wide in a future release.

Best, Colm

fixed…

Hey there,

delighted you got it fixed :)

Colm

Hello, i was hoping that you can help me to fix some minor changes. And do it in the Custom Code Section.

1.- the “In Stock” is too close to the “Add to Cart” button can you more space between them please.

2.- The “Add to Wishlist” button is not well aligned with the “Add to Cart” button.

Here is the link for more reference…

http://www.thefashionistachic.com/p/falling-in-love-cropped-chiffon-baroque-top-navy/

That’s about it, and before i leave i want to tell everyone that this theme is very cool and it’s worth every single penny you spend.

Thanks Guys

Hi there!

Try adding this to custom code and see if it works:

.single_variation_wrap {
    margin-bottom: 0px;
}

.single_variation_wrap p.stock {
    padding-bottom: 10px;
}

.variations_form {
    margin-bottom: 0px;
}

Best,

Simon

That’s what im talking about… Thanks Guys!

You are most welcome :)

Hi. I was running a older version 1.3. now I bought the latest. what will be the easiest to upgrade the theme to the latest version without loosing work i have already done?

Hi there,

I see R the whole time. Where precisely are you seeing the Pound come back in? Could you send me screenshots to support@commercegurus.com

It could also be your session cookies are remembering your old WooCommerce settings. Try completely deleting your cache and restarting your browser.

Best,

Colm

Hi Colm. Yes the R is displaying correct throughout the site but pound sign remains in the top right (cart). IF you refresh you will notice the R sign comes up but immediately then changes to pound.

Hi,

No that doesn’t happen for me – did you follow my last set of instructions re: completely clearing your caches and restarting your browser?

Colm

Hi there! I installed the theme following the video instructuins. Before i set up the home page in wordpress settings, i get a Blank page trying to load homepage. After a few minutes loading, i get a error “Código de error: ERR_CONNECTION_RESET”. The only pages it give me this error are homepages of Captiva Theme. If i set up other pages to be the homepage they load without problems.

Im using Wamp Server by the way. Hope you can help me with this. Regards!

Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch!

If you email me to support@commercegurus.com I should be able to assist you in more detail there.

Hello Again,

I am trying to update WPBakery Visual Composer and it keeps saying ” Error on unzipping package” Im really frustrated and need help. Thank You.

-Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for getting in touch!

You shouldn’t really need to update Visual Composer – a theme update will be released next week which will include the latest version of Visual Composer.

If you need further assistance with this shoot me an email to support@commercegurus.com

Best,

Colm

I just emailed you

i there

i think im missing something glaringly obvious but i just cant seem to find it – on the mobile version only the top bar is appearing in the menu drop down. How to i set this to the menu from the desktop version?

http://www.chessfusco.com/cba/

Many thanks

yep thats worked. However… Now when the menu drops down the directional arrows for the slider are still visible and active on top of the menu :/ http://mobiletest.me/iphone_5_emulator/#u=http://www.chessfusco.com/cba/

Hi there

If you go into Layerslider > click the homepage slider > Slider settings > Appearance > Skin: “no skin”

That should solve it.

Best,

Simon

boom! did the job, thank you chief! :)

Hi, I have bought your theme 2 days ago, installed it today on a fresh WP 4.0 WooCommerce 2.2. install, but then noticed that you jst released an updated version. However, the update does not show up in my WP dashboard, so how do I update the now old version to the updated version. I thought WP would offer me to make an automated update, but it does not show any option to update the theme…

And yes, I did install the Envato WP tookit as well, but it’s not showing up in the dashboard menu, so no way to include an API key anywhere… (Maybe the toolkit doesn’t work with WP 4.0 ?)

OK. Found it. Solved. Has to deinstall the MOJO Marketplace plugin to make the ENVATO tab appear in the dashboard.

Hi there janibiza,

Thanks for getting in touch!

Delighted you figured this out :)
