Hey! My installation is also very slow since i installed your theme. Please help me!
Hi monochrom29
Could you send on your WP login details to support@commercegurus.com? I’d imagine that any speed issues are due to a plugin – not the theme itself – which has been tested to ensure it is super fast!
Thank you!
Simon
done, please check your mails
You’ve got mail
Also, some things changed on my theme. The fonts changed on their own and the drop-down menu icon changed from an arrow to a small check box. Is there a way to fix that?
http://miracapromo.com/Hi pathtec,
I’m not seeing that issue? Everything looks ok to me!
Did you figure it out in the meantime?
If you’re still seeing an issue can you send me details to support@commercegurus.com and we’ll take a look asap.
Best,
Colm
I have a couple of questions.
1) How do I remove or hide the size guide button from the product page?
2) How do I allow for the search field to also search the description of the products? Right now it will not find a product when I enter details from the short description.
Thank you in advance!
Hi there pathtec,
Thanks for getting in touch!
re: 1.) simply delete the text under Captiva Theme Optons->WooCommerce Product details->Size guide title and remove the size guide image
re: 2.) This is a limitation of WooCommerce at present. There are some search addons which may add this as an enhancement. See here: http://ideas.woothemes.com/forums/133476-woocommerce/suggestions/2732873-improve-customer-search-make-sku-excerpt-and-de
Hope this helps,

Hi!
I recently purchased the Captiva Theme. I tried to upload the WooCommerce Plug-in, but failed to install (please see message below)
“Destination folder already exists. /home/goldilocksmcbd/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/
Plugin install failed.”.
Please provide guidance on how to effectively install the WooCommerce plug-in.
I really like the look of the Theme and I’m excited to apply and update it on my website.
Website: http://www.goldilocks-mcbd.com/wp-admin/update-core.php
Thank you,
Marlon
Hi there,
thanks for getting in touch!
This error is happening most likely because WooCommerce is already installed. If you followed the install process WooCommerce is also installed along with the theme activation.
If would like me to take a look to make sure everything is ok send me your WP login details to support@commercegurus.com

Colm
Hi there!
Great theme, thank you very much.
Could you tell me why the menu is not responsive in my installation: http://winterlooks.nl/
Thank you in advance! Michel
Hi Michel!
Thank you!
Re: The menu, it looks like the name of the main navigation has changed which has thrown it off. If you could forward a temp WP login to support@commercegurus.com I could take a look for you.
Best,
Simon
Hello,
Thanks for this theme, it’s great.
I have customized it, everything is in the process of completing. I need to know how many premium plugins you have used, and how to activate them?
I would expect answer from you.
Thank you.
Hi there,
Thanks for getting in touch!
If you followed the on screen install instructions during the initial install the theme will have prompted you to install and activate the plugins already. The premium ones are Layer Slider, Visual Composer and Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer.
Hope this helps,
Colm
Thanks for your answer. So how to activate them? I dont have keys.
Hi there
You don’t need to activate Visual Composer, it’s fully licensed already. If you update Captiva to the latest version the nag message will be removed.

Simon
Hi,
I am trying to add the woo commerce product categories to my main menu but it doesn’t show in the menu creator.
Any ideas or work arounds?
Hi Michael,
Thanks for getting in touch!
You need to switch on product categories in your screen options. e.g.
Go here
http://docs.woothemes.com/document/docs-menus/and search for “adding product categories”
Hope this helps,
Colm
Hi Colm,
I have product categories in woocommerce setup already (ie the sidebar of my products page) but when trying to add them to the main menu it says i have no categories.

Sorry an error when I try to create categories in WooCommerce, the message is as follows:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 389912 bytes) in /home/morphemx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/admin/class-wc-admin-post-types.php on line 39
I could help, thanks!
Hi there,
It sounds like your server is out of memory.
You should get in touch with your hosting company and ask them for their guidance on the best way to increase the memory available to PHP processes on your account.
Best,
Colm
Ok, what is the minimum memory for PHP and I drive 256 and this is the first issue that makes me memory error, I’d like to mention the requirements for best performance of the item, thanks
Hi there Hausser,
Re: minimum – It’s not an exact science and is very much dependant on your specific host. It is most likely down to one of the plugins – not the theme. I would recommend 64mb as your minimum.
See this thread on WordPress for more background. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-allowed-memory-size-of-67108864-bytes-exhausted-1You could also try disabling the Envato toolkit and the Ultimate Addons plugins too to see if that helps.
If you would like me to inspect your setup send me your WP login details to support@commercegurus.com.

Colm
Hi I am having trouble with the 3 images section below the slider, when i click on add image to replace the grey placeholder nothing happens. I’v e tried it on chrome and safari and nothing, please help.
Hi digitalbuzzie!
Could you send your WP site and login to support@commercegurus.com and we’ll take a look.

Hi thanks for the fast reply, Its ok, I can do it via the backend editor it seems so problem solved
. Thanks though
Great! I’ve always found the backend Visual Composer editor is best.
Totally, can you tell me where I could remove the ‘Posted on August 29, 2014 by Admin’ from the post? I tried single.php but cant find it
found it, lol
Hi,
i did an export of my captiva theme.
Then, i try to import the file .json through the menu “import” in captiva but i have no folder window where i can choose the file.
I’m sure there is a solution
Thx,
Cyril
Hi Cyril
Are you referring to the LayerSlider import json? Maybe you could send us a mail to support@commercegurus.com with a screenshot and we’ll take a look.
Best,
Simon
Hi Simon, no, it’s about the export/import option in the menu of captiva. I export my settings for one site & i would now import in a new site but don’t know how to do it. I send you a screenshot now..
Hi there,
I just sent you a follow up email on this.

Hi,
Do this template supports multiple currencies and can I show 2 currencies at a time on this template?
Thanks,
Hello aloknadem!
Multiple currencies aren’t a standard feature of WooCoommerce but there are quite a few plugins that do it – this one might be appropriate: http://aelia.co/shop/currency-switcher-woocommerce/Best
Simon
Hi,
Thanks for reply! Do you know any paid or free plugins which can support 2 currencies feature at a time for the same product or any plugin which can change currency automatically by the user’s country on your wordpress theme .
Thanks
Hi there,
This is the closest thing I could find to what you are looking for.
http://codecanyon.net/item/smart-currency-converter-for-woocommerce/6650944Hope this helps,
Colm
Hi,
Thanks for reply! This plugin is perfect for the requirement. This will be compatible with your theme right. Please confirm it!
Thanks
Hi,
1 More thing “Is that chat facility is included in your theme!”
Thanks
Hi Aloknadem
Re: The plugin, we can’t confirm that every plugin is compatible – there shouldn’t be any issue though.
Re: The chat, we’re using zopim.com – you can sign up for a free account and use it on any site.
Best,
Simon
Thanks for the reply!
Recently purchased this and its a great theme, super responsive on all platforms ( iPad, iPhone, Android etc) Amazing customer service and even provided me with information about host they could recommend to use! Really go out of their way for you. The theme is easily customizable and would reccomend for people who dont know much about wordpress and are starting small to even big developers! All around amazing package, Great theme, Great service!
Is your preview not working correctly? I am shopping for a new site and I keep comparing and I remember you had a menu along the top where you displayed the different features of this theme. It’s gone.
Thanks, Dawn
Hi there Dawn,
thanks for getting in touch!
Our preview is working correctly
Perhaps you’re thinking of the main mega menu – e.g. when you hover over “Shortcodes” you can see a lot of the shortcodes we ship with the ttheme?
If not, let me know if you’ve any questions!
best,
Colm
What is the best dimensions for the category image? I have tried several different sizes (450×450, 450×300, 300×450) and I cannot seem to get the image to fit in properly and stay clear.
Thanks,
Kevin Webb
Hi Kevin,
The main category banner (like the one which is displayed here http://captivatheme1.commercegurus.com/product-category/women/) should be 1140500px – that’s the banner across the top of the category.
If you mean category thumbnails – 500750px is what we use and it works quite well.
Best,
Colm
I was talking about the category thumb (See link below for example). The default image is more square, but when I make a square image, it does not display correctly. The one in the middle is 500×750, but I would like these to be square if possible.
Example on this site.
http://www.MiracaPromo.comHi pathec,
That’s because Captiva ships with a default thumbnail size of 500×750px
If you want to change your thumbnails to be square you will need to change your WooCommerce thumbnail settings – to do this follow this guide:
http://docs.woothemes.com/document/using-the-appropriate-product-image-dimensions/Set the catalog image to be something like 500×500 px.
You will then need to regenerate your thumbnails (See the bottom of the link above for details on how to do that too).
Hope this helps, Colm
I translated the language file to my language. but still seems original. where to should i put this file and which name for (tr_TR)
Hi there,
thanks for getting in touch!

Like many others, I am having trouble with the website being slow. The front-end is not terrible, but the backend times out on me for every product I try to add. I am only using the website as a catalog, and there is no traffic going to it right now, so I may be able to disable some of the plugins that I’m not using, but I don’t want to disable something critical.
Can you please assist me?
Regards,
Kevin Webb
Hi there Kevin,
Thanks for getting in touch!
The theme itself is not the cause of the speed issues people have been having in the past – any time speed has been a factor it has been down to one or more of the plugins that have been the root cause of the issues. We’ve benchmarked Captiva against the fastest WordPress themes available and it performs very well.
If you send me your WP Login details to support@commercegurus.com I will take a look asap to see which plugins our slowing down your instance. There are 2 in particular which seem to cause most issues – 1.) the envato toolkit 2.) Ultimate addons for Visual Composer.
Best,
Colm
Thank you. I just sent the email. The theme has been awesome so far outside of the speed issue.
Thanks!
that’s great to hear
I’ll be in touch asap.
Colm
Hi Commerce, the them is taking forever and a lifetime to install. Is there a simple solution for this problem? Thanks in advanced!
Hello Amvious!
Would you mind sending your WP site, login and ftp info to support@commercegurus.com and we’ll take a look.
Thank you!
Simon
Hello there, I am interested in purchasing this theme but I had two questions before I do.
In the showcase grid sections can you post vertical images as well as horizontal images and still use the filter effect? Or do they all have be the same orientation?
And in the mobile version of the site, is it at all possible to keep the header/logo/menu locked at the top of the screen, so that the user always sees the menu even if they scroll to the bottom of the page. Thank you!
Hi there Kalie1212,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Re: showcase images – at the moment this is optimized for images to be displayed in rows of equal heights. It’s possible to change the image dimensions but the idea would still be to have equal heights. It’s technically possible to change this but there would be a little bit of work involved via a child theme.
Re: mobile version – yes this would be possible with a small css tweak which we could provide to you for the mobile version.
Best,
Colm
Thanks for your quick response! Looking forward to working with your theme!
Super!
