Hello, We will switch to Moodle 4.1 version in the coming days. But in Lambda theme we can’t remove block from dashboard. It redirects us to the login page and we have to login again. Classic and Boost themes do not have such a problem. What’s the problem? How can we solve it? Regards

Lamda is fully compatible with Moodle 4.1+, so there shouldn’t be any problems. Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme. So you have to download the latest version at ThemeForest – just login there with your existing account and click on the “Downloads” tab.
If you are upgrading your Moodle core software to version 4.1, please note that the updates of the installed additional plugins (like a theme) must be done as part of the upgrade process of your Moodle core instance. You can check the steps for an upgrade of the core software here at the official Moodle documentation.

If you decide to purchase the theme, please go to your Dashboard, then statement Tab. You will find your invoice(s) there. The Invoice will show the following information: date, invoice ID, order ID, sellers details, buyers details, item details (the details of the item purchased (Including Item name, Item ID, licence type and item price), total (in USD).

Your question about the number of necessary licences depends on the infrastructure of your Moodle installations. The regular license is for “use in a single end product”.
So if all of your Moodle installations are subdomains which are related to a single main domain, then it is allowed to use the same theme with one single license. Otherwise, if each of your Moodle sites has to be considered as a single website, you’ll need a (regular) license per domain.

Hello there. My institution is using the Lamda theme and we would very much like to continue with it but have some timing pressures which is affecting the project plan for adopting Moodle 4.1. I note in your response to another user that you are working to update the theme to use all the Moodle 4.1 features like the collapsible block drawer and that you had intended for the new version of the Lamda theme to drop last December. As noted timelines are very tight for us, and I am wondering if you are closer to knowing when the Lamda theme update for Moodle 4.1 will be released?

the current theme version is already compatible with Moodle 4.1. Unfortunately ThemeForest doesn’t provide a tag for the latest Moodle version yet…
So all I could do is to add a banner at the item’s large preview image regarding the compatibility.

When I try to open an extension called Moodle adminer, wich allows me to browse the database the following error appears:
“first.js:4722 Uncaught TypeError: $(...).modal is not a function”

are you sure that this is theme related? The Moodle core file first.ja bundles all AMD modules.

Hi. We purchased and installed the theme to our Moodle 4.0.5 yesterday. We are using a tile format for course content. When I log in as admin, I can view the videos inserted into a page activity, but the students can’t view them. The pop-up window opens to start the video but it is empty. Also, I tried the label activity to insert the video, but it’s also not showing the video on the course page. It shows an empty section. Please help. Thank you.

Issue in setting up template in Database activity. ‘Add Entry Template’ dropdown does not work in Moodle 4.1. Clicking the button shows the dropdown menus but are not selectable. After the first click the button is disabled. Need urgent solution

Good morning, I have a general enquiry, I can see that Lambda is available for Moodle 4.0/4.1 however, the new functionality of the Course Index and Block Drawer doesn’t seem to be available. Lambda already includes all features of Moodle 4.0, I think you are referring to certain features of the Moodle core “Boost” theme which are not yet implemented in Lambda.
I am quite proud to say that Lambda is the longest-standing product at themeforest for the Moodle category. It was released in 2014. It already had some important updates. It runs stable and reliable and I will definitely keep it compatible with upcoming new Moodle versions. But with that, Lambda is of course not a simple child theme of “Boost”. A theme will always have a different approach for the UI and also for certain design decisions. The Moodle 4 core theme “Classic” also uses a different UI. The common new Moodle 4 features are of course already included in Lambda: The new navigation with the split between the “My courses” tab and the dashboard (including the deadlines with an improved timeline), the new course editing with drag&drop features, color-coded icons to help identify the function of each course activity, question bank improvements…
With the release of Moodle 4.1 as an LTS (Long Term Support) version, the changed UX can be seen as the new standard. Of course I will continue to develop and improve Lambda according to the features of the new Moodle versions. For example, I will definitely include the new course index of the “Boost” theme with the next major update of Lambda.

Apologies for all of the questions, we have several customers who love using Lambda but are concerned that the M4.1 features were not being incorporated and therefore meant they’d have to look for an alternative.

I’ve found out you have moved it to More menu. Earlier ‘add new course’ button was directly on a page.

Regarding your questions:
1) Yes, the course creation is very intuitive. There is a settings page which defines general options for the course (start/end date, course format). Everything else is via front end: For example, to add files such as documents or presentations, just drag and drop them from your desktop.
2) Yes, that’s possible.
3) Yes: An admin can block an instructor and keep the courses for the students.
4) By default, an instructor (“teacher” role) cannot delete a course. An instructor can only hide a course or set it as inactive. It requires at least a “manager” role to permanently delete a course.
According to your answer, the options I need on my website are all available in your theme, due to this, I am considering to buy your theme. On the other hand, I have some concerns of probable conflicts or bugs. So, I need a confirmation that you can grant a full refund in case I habe any problem using your theme or in case any of these options was not applicable.
