Moodle 4.5 here. I want to design a special custom menu based on roles with filtercodes plugin. I have used before something like {ifcustomrole rolename}. Does lambda theme support custom menus with filtercodes ? I’ve had some issues with another theme when I’ve upgraded to Moodle 4.5 and I consider to switch. Thank you!

that’s no problem: If your special custom menu works correctly with one of the Moodle core themes “Boost” or “Classic”, the it will also work fine under Theme Lambda, too.

All your requirements can be easily met with the theme. For the certificates, you will need an additional plugin. But this plugin is available for free at the official Moodle LMS plugins directory.

So you can get quite a good impression of how a course will look like. However, guest users cannot participate in a course. So they cannot get certificates or have a personal dashboard.

Lambda 2 is compatible with all Moodle 4 versions. So you cannot use it with Moodle 3.9 and you have to keep your current theme version.
There are 2 licenses, namely a regular license and an extended license. If I buy a regular license, that doesn’t mean end users don’t get premium features, right?
don’t worry: you will receive the same item no matter which of the two license types you choose. With the “extended” license, you get more extensive options for the deployment of the theme.

Hi Eva. One of our project partners just informed me that the ‘burger menu’ is not working on mobile. Tapping it only makes it turn green and it doesn’t dropdown. I am fairly sure that it worked before. I’ve tried taking out the small amount of custom CSS we put in the Lambda settings, but that didn’t fix it. Do you know of any issue? please let me know which Moodle version you are using. You can check your Moodle version at the admin notifications: Go to “Administration” > “Site administration” > “Notifications”. You can find the version number at the bottom of the page.

At the WordPress and HTML section of ThemeForest, there was also a theme called “Lambda”. But this item was from a different company that I am not affiliated with and it is a completely different theme. As far as I know, this item is no longer available.

Lambda is a theme for the LMS Moodle and cannot be used with WordPress.
However, if your Moodle instance is hosted at Moodle Cloud, you are – as far as I know – not allowed to install any further plugins on your own.

I am having an issue with going to from Moodle 3 to Moodle 4. The regular Lambda theme causes an error so I make sure that I have Lambda2 as my theme. The issue causes none of my original Lambda theme settings to work.
