I think you need to update the theme, as with the latest Moodle using the theme within the course it will not show the activities and for the time being I have changed to the default theme in one of my sites that I have updated the Moodle.
Hi,
please make sure that you are using the latest theme version. It’s fully compatible with Moodle 4.0 and of course the activities are showing up correctly.
I have recently changed the server and my domain has been changed too, however as I said the theme is not working on this new server do I need to re-register my site with you to make the theme work? Or is the problem something else? I have the latest Moodle and you latest theme but as I said the course elements do not shows, and when I change to other theme all works fine.

I have some queries regarding theme. I had filled the form 2-3 times at https://themeforest.net/user/eva_pi But no reply or acknowledgement was received. Kindly let me know the support email address or proper link to share my queries.
Hi,
please send me your email address, I will contact you directly via mail.
Is there any new option to be able to create html blocks above the quiz questions?
Hi,
you can use the question type “description” to place your own custom content above any quiz question.
thanks for the advice, but it is not feasible… I have each question paginated, so I would have to add 1 description for each one, and there are thousands. The fastest would be an html block that could be centered on the pages, I think it would be a good improvement to the theme
Oh, I see…
I am already planning to integrate more block positions for Lambda – so this will actually be possible in the future!
HI, do you accept paid customization? please let me know where i can contact for customization?

Hello, we have Lambda theme installed with Moodle 4.0. However we cannot see the new navigation bar of moodle 4.0 we are still seeing the lateral bar navigation.
Can you please confirm if this is because of the theme?
Thanks a lot in advance
Kind regards

Hi there, unfortunately the support platform is not sending the form at the moment so I hope to get some support here…
Currently working to set up a moodle with the Lambda theme. A thing that is missing for me is an indicator which main menu item is active (i.e. the yellow menu item background always stays on the first item). Unfortunately it is not just a CSS issue but the corresponding active menu item even does not have an active class. Is that on purpose, has it just been forgotten or is it an error somehow?
I have just replied to your ticket.
Hello. Do you have a trial period? I need to test it first in my Moodle. Thanks.
Thank you for your interest in “Lambda – Responsive Moodle Theme”.
Though I designed and created the theme, I decided to submit it to envato market where it can now be purchased. So you do not purchase the theme directly from me, but from ThemeForest. I am using this marketplace to sell my item. I am only the author of the theme – I don’t make the rules for the marketplace. Envato market and with that ThemeForest does not provide demo versions of the themes they are offering. It is also not possible to get a trial period.
On the other hand, the prices at envato are quite reasonable.
Good morning, I bought the theme a month ago, I wanted to know if it has full screen mode? to avoid distractions of the students or also called “Focus Mode” (see example in the link). Thank you https://ibb.co/s661P7n
Hi, well, honestly I don’t see any feature there: It’s just a page resource with a navigation panel. Of course you can have this layout with Lambda, too. But that depends on your course format and design.
My first impression about 4.0 compatibility after latest theme update: 1. site support icon for /moodle/user/sitesupport.php is missing 2. course context menu is not available, still uses moodle block menu, 3. Site administration menu is still appears as block 4. css problems in calendar, lesson, workshop 5. full login form is unattractive The new version is incompatible but looks like old moodle and not as new 4.0
This is how the new Moodle 4.0 layout looks – but I don’t think that this is what you would like to have…
You are using Lambda since January 2015 now, so I’m sure you know that I’ve kept the theme continuously updated and always adapting it to the new moodle releases. This is of course still the case: I will continue to adapt Lambda for Moodle 4 as well.
If you have specific requests or suggestions, just send me a message using my contact form:

Then I can also answer you in more detail about my plans for future updates.
No doubt it is a great theme and I’m using till date and updates are regular. Also I have reasonable knowledge about CSS/PHP/HTML and no doubt the coding is very good. But, theme update to v4 still is not complete particularly the new user experience is incomplete. I hope the next update will have all the features of v4
I have just replied to your email.
Hello, Could you please confirm if the theme is compatible with moodle 4.0.1?
Thanks
Yes, the latest theme version is compatible with Moodle 4.0!
Hello for your reply, then we don’t know why the theme buttons, banners, navigation bar are not looking as they should. I recorded a little video showing you how it looks. Could you please check it out?
https://recordit.co/XDzJCPaGnEAs you’ll see the navigation bar and the banner does not cover full width, the hover colors of the navigation bar elements cannot be changed (we changed it but it does not change it keeps showing that white).
Any idea of what could be happening here?
Thanks!
Yes: You mustn’t use the theme designer mode in Moodle. It is important to have this setting deactivated, otherwise Moodle stops caching the data of your site. With that, it has a huge impact on the loading performance of your site and the cached style sheets may not get applied correctly. You can disable this setting in “Site Administration” > “Appearance” > “Themes” > “Theme settings”.
You should only use it if you are developing a theme, but not when you set it up or when you test the effect of some settings.
Hello, thanks!! now it works fine thanks for your help!
Hello, Could you please add the option to have the default Moodle 4 layout on your next update? Thanks!
This is how the default Moodle 4.0 layout looks – but I don’t think that this is what you would like to have…
I have just sent you an email to answer your query in more detail.

Any news about Moodle 4 compatibility? Is there an expected date?
The new update is almost done. I am aiming to release Lambda for Moodle 4.0 compatibility soon. You will get an official notification email from ThemeForest when the new theme version is released.
Hi eva_pi, how long do we have to wait for the update? Thanks
I am still working on the new update. But I am aiming to release Lambda for Moodle 4.0 compatibility soon. You will get an official notification email from ThemeForest when the new theme version is released.
I downloaded the new zip files but Moodle version 4.0: theme-lambda-upload-moodle-4.zip is missing, where can I get theme-lambda-upload-moodle-4.zip from?
Hi, there are still some compatibility issues with Moodle 4.0. Though I planned to publish a version for the latest Moodle release (perhaps you can still find some entries for it at the documentation) it is not done yet. I am working on it…
Hi Good, looking forward for the theme for Moodle 4, as I have already upgraded my Moodle to the latest one, and I have to say it is much improvement. However, currently I am using the default theme as your theme upgrade is not out yet. Cheers
Hi, is the Moodle 4 compatible version available? Thanks.
Hi,
unfortunately not yet: There are still some compatibility issues with Moodle 4.0. I am working on it…
The latest version of the theme release 24th April 2022 has an issue when we go into Courses > Users it gives the error “Exception – Argument 1 passed to core_completion\cm_completion_details::get_instance() must be an instance of cm_info, null given, called in [dirroot]/theme/lambda/renderers/core_renderer.php on line 529”
Tracking the issue further by debugging gives this in relation to the above error:
Notice: Trying to get property ‘name’ of non-object in /home/clinbyte/lms.clinbyte.com/theme/lambda/renderers/core_renderer.php on line 521
Seems like something is going on in core_renderer.php at the lines below:
Line 521
public function lambda_incourse_header() { global $USER, $PAGE, $OUTPUT; $html = ’’;
and
Line 529
$completiondetails = \core_completion\cm_completion_details::get_instance($PAGE->cm, $USER->id);

Done. Have sent you a message. Kindly respond as the production site is broken with this update. Boost theme works fine.
Please take a look in your inbox. I have replied to your email.
Re: ‘mod_assign_renderer’ error After managing to upgrade with moodle4 always getting this error Re: ‘mod_assign_renderer’ even unable to switch to another theme as lambda error blocking that with the above error
moodle/theme/lambda/renderers/core_renderer.php on line 339 this is another error
Hi,
have you already updated the theme?
I was able to upgrade to moodle 4 only after adding $CFG->theme = boost; to config.php then I update the lambda theme as without this tweak moodle nit upgrading so after upgrading I updated the theme but whatsoever it continues to show this error even now I am trying to switch to other theme but it is returning with same error code so unable even to switch theme now. The only possible way to switch to other theme is to force condig.php
https://docs.moodle.org/400/en/Upgrading
It is extremely important to follow these steps carefully when you are performing the upgrade. The update of your installed plugins (like the themes) has to be done as part of the upgrade process of your Moodle core software.
I receive this from moodle support : 1. From the theme selector you will still be able to change the theme to any other theme you want, however it will give this mod_assign_renderer error unless the theme is compatible with Moodle 4.0 and you will again go back into config.php and define the Boost or Classic theme to get back access to your instance.
2. The Boost theme is designed like that. The UI in Moodle 4.0 is designed to focus on learning and hence the course content is limited to the centre of the page with the Navigation bar collapsed on the right and Course Index collapsed on the left which can be expanded as required. The content was always centre in all Moodle version right.
The admin pages fill the entire screen as its expected you are carrying our administrative functions and the navigation is hidden as the relevant contextual menus are tabbed.
May I know which theme you are using?
If you are looking for a good theme that works with Moodle 4.0 you can check out the Lambda theme https://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816
Although this theme and some other themes would be compatible with Moodle they don’t really make full use of the enhanced UI and layouts that Moodle 4.0 offers and have the same three column layout, but they do work.
I believe by the time Moodle 4.1 is released the themes should be updated make use of the enhanced UI offered by Moodle 4.0

Unfortunately, there is no solution I am switching to boost the theme until you make necessarily tweak
The current theme version is fully compatible with Moodle 4.0. Many clients are already using the latest Moodle version. I have also just performed an upgrade from Moodle 3.9 to 4.0 without any problems – there are no error messages and zero debug messages. But it is vital to follow the official upgrade instructions from moodle.org.
I uninstall theme then installed moodle 4 then installed fresh copy of the theme suddenly problem arose again
