Hello, how can I disable the search filter and let all be the default?
Hi,
there is currently no such option, but it is a good suggestion and I will try to add it in the next update.
Meanwhile, you can use the following Custom CSS to hide it:
.header-search-filter { display: none; }

Logo Issue : So, I just purchased the theme, and find it really frustrating that for some reason it’s forcing me to use a 100×150 logo (odd dimensions). My logo, & most logos are longer than they are tall. How can I work around this?
Figured it out, but it’s VERY counter intuitive. For anyone else having this issue, set the logo size under “Header” in the theme customizer (make sure Kirki and Lore Theme Kit plugins are installed) then you not only have to “Save & Publish” you ALSO have to CLOSE the customizer and then reopen it. This is very, very odd, and frustrating. Maybe an update to not force users to crop the logo to any particular dimension would help.
Hi,
I am aware the logo upload process is not optimal, I will take a look at this. Thanks for your feedback!

You’re welcome. Had another quick question. How can I use custom icons?
You mean how to add your own / 3rd party icons? Please be more descriptive.
Yes. For the article titles in the knowledgebase, where you select icons, how can I import icons custom icons? Preferably from someplace like Fontello or the like.
Unless there is an existing 3rd party plugin for your icons (which I guess there isn’t if you are looking into a very specific custom set), then it will require some non-trivial coding. Here is an article on that. But I highly recommend to hire a professional for such task as this article is very general and may not help in your specific case.
I have no issues making a custom icon font set, only how to incorporate it within the theme. Could you outline that process?
For example, the Enfold theme by Kriesi has an option to upload an icon font zip file. I’m ok with doing something like this manually, just need to know what the steps would be to do so.
Unfortunately, there is no such easy approach to this as with Enfold. I’ve just posted you a tutorial in my previous reply with a general approach, but it will probably require some coding skill to do it properly.
Can I make the hit area for mobile menu dropdowns with submenu items the entire length of the bar instead of just the arrow?
Hi,
that is not really possible since the item text is also the link.

Hello, I was wondering if a single knowledge base post can appear in more than one topic.
Hi,
you mean in more than one category, right? It can, but both categories will be displayed as expanded on post detail page of that post.

Does this theme supports 1) code/syntax highlighting? 2) search box to specify sub-categories only to search?
Hi,
1.) not by default, but there are many 3rd party plugins for that
2.) no, I would be very surprised if any knowledge theme offers such feature

How do I remove/replace the /knowledge-base-category/ ? Thanks
Hi,
can you please be more descriptive? there is a big difference between removing and replacing.
Lubos
Currently, when I add a category “getting-started” the URL shows like this: domain.com/knowledge-base-category/getting-started/ It adds “knowledge-base-category” I tried using Permalinks but it doesn’t reflect that.
For the KB articles itlself, “knowledge-base” is added like: domain.com/knowledge-base/how-to-install-wordpress/
Thanks
Hi,
sure, that’s expected. You can change those slugs under Appearance / Customize / Knowledge Base. But removing them is not possible, at least not without some more advanced tinkering via .htaccess file.

Greetings,
I liked the theme and would like to buy and have a question before i buy,
Can i show the Normal Menu and Knowledge Base only after my members login. and for not logged in Public only home page (Customised) with login option.

Hi,
not by default. Something like that would require some additional coding.

Is there any way to implement Edit Flow (which works perfectly with regular blog posts) with the Knowledge Base-articles?
Hi,
I don’t have experience with this plugin, but try to get in touch with its author and ask him how to enable it for Custom Post Types.
Lubos
Two questions:
1) Is it possible to order the knowledge base categories non-alphabetically?
2) Most icons can’t be used and show up as blank spaces. Is there any quick fix for this?
Hi,
1.) the best way to reorder categories / articles or any other post type is to use this plugin
2.) this can be caused by your hosting settings. You will have to edit your .htaccess file on your hosting like this. If it won’t help, please share your URL

Looks like a great theme. Any possibility for different header logo options, perhaps a centred one?
Hi,
not at the time, but I may consider it. Thanks for suggestion.

Hi there!
I wanted to reach out to you about a problem I’m currently facing with the latest update to Lore. Since the update I get the following string “string(5) “1.0.0”” shown to me on every page. It seems to me there might have been an oversight in the versioning of the update, since it’s supposed to be 1.0.1.
Is there a way to fix this?
Looking forward to your response!

Hi,
sorry, my bad. I’ve missed that in last update. The issue is in functions.php file in theme’s root. Open that file and remove whole line 88. I will try to release an update ASAP.

There are some things that are very hard to edit, like the default logo space is 100 x XX and every time that i want to load a new logo this is the space to display. I already try editing css and i can’t find the class.
Hi,
the logo is not handled via CSS. You can try to edit its attributes in functions.php file on line 44.
I will be releasing a new update today which will allow you to change those values in Customizer.

I just bought this theme, and when i install it, show me this.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[’ in /nfs/c02/h01/mnt/46540/domains/proxpecta.exxact.biz/html/wp-content/themes/lore/functions.php on line 431
I change the PHP version on the server and it works.
Great!
Nice work GLWS
Thanks
Beautiful theme!
Thanks
Congratulations! Good Luck With Sale
Thanks
Another question please: Do you intend to add ajax live search to the search box?
Hi,
there is ajax search already. Does it not work for you?
Lubos
No it’s not working on Firefox or Safari for Mac. The little spinner shows but only briefly and nothing drops down, despite using terms that are in the knowledge base article.
Not working on Chrome either.
I am on Mac too and it does work for me in all those browsers. Won’t you mind opening it in Chrome with Object Inspector enabled (ALT + CMD + I) with Console tab (at the top of the inspector) to see if any error will appear after you perform search? Thanks
Yes, sure. This is what I see: http://grab.by/St2q
It seems to be a hosting related issue. I will keep investigation this. Thanks for your help!
No problem. In case it helps, my sites are hosted with WPEngine.
It seems I’ve sorted it out. It was caused by some hosting settings. Please check out the site again.
All working now. Thanks!
Congratulations. Excellent theme. Good luck with the sales
Thank you
Hi. Good looking theme. Would you mind posting some screenshots of the customizer theme options for this theme please? Thanks.
It’d be helpful please to see the options for “Static Front Page”, “Default Front Page Settings”, “Header Settings”, “Knowledge Base” and “Typography”. Many thanks.
Here you go: Static Front Page (BTW, this section is created by WordPress itself, not by theme), Default Front Page, Header Settings, Knowledge Base, Typography (not all Google fonts are available, only handpicked ones, but there are multiple 3rd party plugins which offer full GF library).
Congratulations! Beautiful Work, GLWS
Thanks!
