Hi, I’ve noticed that since upgrading to Wordpress version 5.8 the FAQs no longer expand when I click on them. Can you please assist?

Sorry to bother you again.

We are finishing our site (seo-dokter.nl), and we are struggeling with our translation. We use loco translation, but we haven’t been able to translate the knowlegde base items in the front end.

In our PO and POT lore files everything looks fine, but the template still shows the english word. For example “%d” Articles should be translated in “%d Artikelen”.

Do you know what we could alter?

have you tried to translated the LSVR plugins as well? Many of the strings can be found there.

Hi! Can’t add icons to categories on home page. I checked it and could edit via html code (inspect) to icon-lock and it works, doesn’t work from back end in wordpress when I put icon-lock there in article categories. What to do?

I can’t move article order if under a subcategory (even using custom plugIn order). e.g. I would like move “Introduzione” just under “Scenario” category so to be the first article under “Scenario” item.

categories are shown always first, before article. This is unfortunately not possible to change.

How can i setup Knowledge Base to show only Parent Article Category Link1 when click mysite.com/knowledge-base-category/link1 and don’t see other Parent Article Category.

Example : Click link https://preview.lsvr.sk/lore/knowledge-base-category/installation-and-setup/ you will only see Installation and Setup with 6 child categories. You dont see other category like Content editing, Customization, How to…

Could you please help me create a new menu location?

For our knowledge base, we need to separate by individual products and then let the user navigate within those. The menu location would be right where the sidebar is and where the knowledge base archive “menu” is.

Ideally, this would allow us to use the menu for both pages and posts.

Do you have a suggestion?

Dobrý den, dnes jsem narazil na další chybku: u FAQ kategorií chci zobrazit všechny FAQ v dané kategorii. Proto mám ve shortcodu nastaveno “limit=”0””. I tehdy mi ale FAQ článek zobrazuje tlačítko “More FAQ”.

Sice ano, můžu umazat v shortcodu popisek tlačítka More FAQ, čímž zmizí. Ale očekával bych, že se nebude vůbec ani zobrazovat, pokud je nastaveno na zobrazování všech FAQ.

Druhou věcí je, že bych ocenil jednotnou konfiguraci všech FAQ (v případě prázdné konfigurace v shortcode daného FAQ převzít nastavení ze šablony – kolik FAQ zobrazit, v kolika sloupcích, pojmenování More FAQ tlačítka), což nyní přes Apearance FAQ není. U vícero FAQ tak je třeba upravovat na všech místech manuálně.

To More FAQ ma funkciu ze vas to presmeruje na archiv FAQ. Je totalne relevantne chciet mat tam ten link aj ked to uz zobrazuje vsetky FAQ. Rozhodne to nie je chyba, ked to tam nechcete tak proste zmazte ten popisok.

Ad globalne nastavenia: nieco take by si vyzadovalo velmi razantne upravy v teme a pluginoch, to momentalne nemam plane.

I am currently not aware of such issue in the latest version, but it depends how the multilingual version is set up.

Hi,

you can ignore this issue, this is part of the 3rd party library which is mandatory for WP themes, but it should have no effect over the functionality itself. Just activate all the plugins and you are set.

Thanks for a great theme! My question about FAQ. I changed content and slugs in FAQs from Demo content (4 articles) and after that I added 6 more FAQs. And now I can see all my FAQs in wp-admin, 6 FAQs at Dashboard Home page, and only 4 (old, modified) FAQs at /faq page. What I need to do to display all FAQs (9 total) at standard /faq page? All of these are published and looks similarly in wp-admin.

You need to change the Limit option to “0/All” for the LSVR FAQ widget and Lore FAQ element.

Thank you, it’s ok now. For dashboard it is limit in right right column when editing Dashboard Home page (6 by default). And Appearance – Widgets – FAQ, LSVR FAQ (default 4) in wp-admin. Thanks!

Hello, Lore theme: I found out that my visitors try to click category icons on main page to go to selected category. Unfortunately category icons are not clickable. Please advise what should be changed in code or child theme to make them clickable.

I am sorry but that would require more advanced customization which is beyond the theme support. However it is a good feedback and I will look into possibilities to make it clickable in the future updates.

Hi, how do I enable Polylang on the LSVR Knowledge Base? I installed Polylang on one test site and it worked without a problem, and it doesn’t work on the main site. Works only on standard wordpress posts and pages.

Thanks for your latest answer this helped us out. I’m strugling with my search box, we were bale to alter most of the box but 2 issues remain.

We can’t change the word everthing after the search in: tag and we would like to disable the search categories like blog. We are not using the blog but it is still showing.

hey! interested to buy this as have been using the disputo theme and not having luck with it. a couple of questions (1) does the search bar search blog posts? (2) can you change the rating icon symbols? i.e disputo you could change them to hearts (3) are people able to leave comments on posts? and (4) is there a way to filter search results into categories?

1.) yes, it searches all the post types and pages

2.) it would require some custom CSS. Here is the list of all built-in icons, changing to any of those should a matter of few lines of CSS. However please note that customization like this is not included in the theme support.

3.) yes, both on blog and KB posts

4.) not sure what do you mean by that, when you click on the search bar on the home page, you can see the filtering options.

thank you! one more, is it possible for people to comment on posts? i’m using the anonymous poster plugin as well so want to make sure people can submit posts and be able to comment on them too

Yeah, I already answered that in point 3.) comments are supported by both blog posts and Knowledge Base articles. I am talking about the native WordPress comments, so I am not sure how that will work with that plugin. You can just try it with any WP theme and if it will work, then it will work with Lore as well.

Hi Lubos, thanks for the update and documentation. It solved a few of my questions.

2 questions remain.

I want to get the look as you presented it in your demo page, so I would like to have the Icon and links in the home page blocks. Now it only presents the title of the menu items (I’ve used the demo content) Home, Knowledge Base, FAQ, Blog and Demo Credits.

So How do I add an Icon and links to these menu items?

I am looking for a knowledge base theme to buy I have shortlisted your theme but before finalizing it I have a few questions, The core function is that we have 15 mentors who answers general public questions.by a contact form or a chatbot, my query is that is it possible for our mentors to get some kind of notification and whoever is available can answer them which will be visible as a blog post.

there is support for the contact form as you can see on the demo, but as for the chatbot, you will need to find some sort of 3rd party plugin for that.
