This is by design, as at the time of building Machine, it was common practice to provide a “poster” image instead of autoplaying a video. Also, there has been some backlash around autoplaying videos on mobile recently.

Hey Craig, sure allow me to quickly explain…
In that video you’ll see the navigation menu links change width when the mouse over occurs.
It’s not a pleasant effect and in fact is most likely an error in the code. The width of the parent level navigation links should remain fixed when there is a mouse over.
It has something to do with the child links not having absolute positioning, using position:relative; instead of position: absolute;

can i modify the HTML of the blocks BEFORE i use them in variant? of would i have to adapt the source code each time AFTER publishing (e.g. remove social icons in ‘team single light’)?

Hi,
You are welcome to make any changes to builder.html before opening the builder. This will make those changes appear when you add the block. However, we don’t provide support for this, and the changes would need to be re-done when you update builder.html.
You shouldn’t see any problem if you are simply removing some elements from builder.html.

I’m a designer, not a developer, so maybe these are issues that can be resolved in the back-end, I’m not sure.
2 things:
I’m using the standard footer and when I duplicate one of the social media icons, the spacing isn’t consistent with the rest of the icons. Can the spacing be edited to become equal?
The last thing. In the demo version I was able to add additional testimonials by clicking the hovering the +, but in my version this bar does not appear. could this be a glitch?

Keep in mind that you will only be able to display content from your own feed.
At step 9, open scripts.js in your website’s js folder and search for instafeed ...replace the client ID and Access Token with your new one, taking care not to disturb the existing code.

Pre-sales question. I really like the way you open the Vimeo video on the Startup (home-2.html) page. However, when you close the window, the video continues to play underneath. Is there any way to stop the video playing. Is that something you could help me with when I make the purchase. Thank you.

Glad you got the fullscreen issue sorted. You can integrate a ‘scroll-down’ by making a link element inside the first section (perhaps containing an image of some down arrows) then give the link the class ‘inner-link’ and the href=”first-section” then above the first section, place an a element

The Instagram feature in our themes is currently not functioning. This is due to the recent API changes enforced by Instagram that restrict how users can access their feeds through third party plugins and services. At this time there is no fast solution to restore the original functionality. We will be investigating ways we might restore this feature in the future. For now this functionality will be removed from all themes in an update.

Where would I find these inside of builder? 30+ Pre built demo pages to suit all styles Great use of Variant builder and blocks are very unique. Lack some functions Foundry has with tint, dark, light background, transparent, footer module but I love your blocks
The pre built pages are included with your download package. You are right, features in Machine are not as advanced as Foundry. Sorry, but there is no way to put blocks from Machine into Foundry and vice versa.

PS: James, Craig and the gang, please don’t take me wrong, I pretty much respect your design criteria of going with two bars, Machine is an awesome theme and very easy to work with, but I believe the standard is now three bars and I had feedback from clients that two bars was kinda confusing.

Do you have any plans to introduce side bars? Either side bar menus, or side bar blocks. The template is great, but it is too vertically linear. Could you create an add-on to this product for side bar blocks / elements?
