Hello, I don’t know why the post_type=manual_kb does not appear in https:mi-sitio.com/wp-json/posts, how can I include them, only the manual_documentation appears
Thank you
The site is not opening. We’re a bit unclear about the issue—does it not appear at all, only in the search area, or in another specific location? Could you please clarify?
Search Results lacks a lot. We only get results with content we put in Title and Tags. Not a single word within the Article Text is found. There is no System i kwnow of, which has such limitations, even there are other plugins used, which can not be avoided. So this is most critical
Please navigate to ‘Manual Theme > Theme Options > Search > Advanced Search.’ In this section, you’ll find options to limit the search to titles, content, or excerpts, as well as manage search settings for ‘Taxonomies’ and exclude older articles from search results.
There are also many more features to control within this area, and managing this section will help you achieve your goals with the search functionality.
Thanks
THX, initial config did not work at all… should be hot topic in Docs…
We have checked the issue you mentioned several times, and everything seems to be working fine with the search function. Could you check if you have any extra search plugins installed? Sometimes, adding these can cause problems. If you do, please try removing them and see if that fixes the issue. If it doesn’t, please submit your query again on our support desk at https://smartwpthemes.com/submit-a-ticket and include your site access details. Our technical team will then be able to look into the problem for you.
Thanks
Hi, been experiencing more issues with the theme, I have sent in another ticket.
We have responded to all your tickets. Could you please check your email
Hi, trying to create a ticket but that seems impossible: you’re support systems password reset link isn’t working.
On the issue with the theme: WP-Bakery was included; It needs activating; how do I go about this, where can i find the activation key/license? Trying to edit the homepage with Elementor, but as soon as you try to change a block of content, it turns into text.
We’ve double-checked and found that the password reset option is working correctly. Could you please recheck the email you used during the password reset process? Also, be sure to check your spam folder, as sometimes the email may be filtered there.
Regarding the WPBakery license, the manual theme cannot provide a license key due to licensing policies (note; the license is only required for the auto-upgrade process). The manual theme includes fully functional versions of WPBakery, and when a stable version of the plugin is available, you can upgrade it via the Plugins > Installed Plugins section, where you’ll find the upgrade link under the plugin description.
Regarding the Elementor issue, please navigate to Elementor > Settings > Features and click on ‘Back to default’ at the top under ‘Experiments and Features’. Then try again.
Thanks
Hi there, Elementor still isn’t working. I’ve submitted a ticket with screenshot.
We have responded to all your tickets. Could you please check your email

You can direct message us using https://smartwpthemes.com/contact-us/
Thanks
Could I please ask for the current version of Ultimate Addons for WPBakery Page Builder? The new release includes security fixes and for me it is important that the client’s website is protected against attacks. Thank you in advance!
We are upgrading it will be available for download after few hours.
Thanks
Thank you for the information. Please write a word when it is ready for download.
If the manual theme has been upgraded continuously, then you will see the auto upgrade notification at the top of your admin dashboard by now.
Thanks
Thanks a lot. I have it!
Hi , I’m thinking about buying. I have 2 questions. Is it possible to download files at different levels with different usergroups? Also, is it possible to take over the forum topics from phpbb?
1. Downloading Files at Different Levels with Different User Groups: Yes, it’s possible. You can set permissions so that different user groups have access to different levels of files. For example, admins might access all files, while regular users have access to only some.
Note; access must me provided to post, separate access to download file is not available.
2. Taking Over Forum Topics from phpBB: yes, you can transfer forum topics from phpBB to another platform. This usually involves exporting data from phpBB and importing it into the new forum system. Some platforms even have tools to make this process easier.
Note; note while importing you need a free WordPress plugin that can export content from phpbb to other platform like bbpress.
Thanks
+1 question. I see you have a few similar theme like this. Which is the better or only the design is the difference? I wanna buy the full full versions
Manual theme is MORE ADVANCED than others, but if you are looking for a simple solution like adding the article and displaying it to the user, then you can choose Aidoc.
Please note: Aidoc is a simple and flexible solution and DOES NOT HAVE features like article access control, attachments on articles, search control options, portfolio feature, a separate FAQ section, and more feature.
Hi, why could it happen that in Manual theme after some time disappeare some Menu items: Home Help Blocks, Home Org Blocks and Testimonial? I can see them on the page displayed, yet they are not displayed on WP admin dashboard and we can not edit them.
Home Help Blocks, Home Org Blocks, and Testimonial have been removed and shifted to ‘Manual Theme > Theme Options > Page Template Home Page Settings,’ where you can edit or disable the sections.
Thanks
Thank you! I found the seetings. Yet I can not see there “Add New Block” or “Edit” option. How to enable this?
For the help block, navigate to ‘Manual Theme > Theme Options > Page Template Home Page Settings > Help Block’. You can find the option to add a new block at the bottom. Here is the link for reference: https://tinyurl.com/234go38a .
The same process applies to testimonials and organization blocks; you can have ‘add new blocks’ at the bottom of their respective sections.
Thanks
A bit frustrated that after updating to the latest theme version some elements of the layout are broken. For example, header colors were changed, layout on our home page changed (search gone). Cannot figure out how to reconfigure. Went to the support site but the YouTube video is 3 years old and no longer matches the current version of the theme. Purchased the theme a couple of years ago and w/o paying support we don’t have help. A bit frustrating…
You must have upgraded the theme from a version below 7.4 to the latest version. There are clear instructions stating that after upgrading to version 7.5, the header, page title bar, and footer will reset to default settings, requiring reconfiguration.
For more details, please refer to the change log: (https://smartwpthemes.com/documentation/changelog/ )
The new manual documentation will be released soon. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the old documents still cover 75% of the necessary steps for the required changes.
If you face any difficulties, you can contact our private support center for assistance with request of matching the header and other design elements. Submit a support ticket here: (https://smartwpthemes.com/submit-a-ticket/)
Thanks
Just saw this The user role system works well for the Manual theme on the frontend. However, for backend control, such as allowing specific roles to add content to the knowledgebase or documents, you need an additional free plugin like ‘access management.’ This is because the Manual theme does not include role-based permission features for the backend. What a logic and confusion, and must say the Documentation and Video do not help at all… The Wordpress User role does work for Blog Content? But not for KnowledgeBase?
WordPress utilizes standard blog and page concepts.
Features such as knowledgebase, documentation, and FAQs are custom post types that follow the standard WordPress structure but operate independently based on specific needs.
The Manual theme restricts backend editing access to administrators only. To modify this, you need an access control plugin that manages backend visibility and permissions.
This restriction is essential because the backend is a critical section, and different users may have different access requirements.
With a backend access manager plugin, you can control and customize user access levels effectively.
Thanks
What kind of support can we expect?
Please explain why the user with author role who has access and rights on an article, given only by admin because any other role cannot start any content. Why the article which owner is given to new author has an edit menu but by cllicking on it the system goes back to startpage. And there is no backend navigation for any user role, only for admin….
We put now a lot of time into this ready to use Manual System, without any progress and no useful documentation, and till now only warm words…

We have a new user with user role AUTHOR. We have no idea how to setup new content after login, there is simply nothing to administre exept login and logout…. By the way, your documentation videos are beyond kindergarden…
It seems there was some confusion about the system and its functionality. Let me clarify:
The Manual theme includes four built-in sections: documents, knowledgebase, FAQ, and portfolio.
Only logged-in users (admins) can create content for the documentation, knowledgebase, FAQ, and portfolio sections.
If you want to grant other user roles permission to add content, you can use a free add-on plugin like ‘access management’ or similar plugins for advanced admin section control. This is necessary because the Manual theme does not have its own permission control feature for the admin section.
On the frontend, the Manual theme allows you to control content visibility. You can specify which users can see certain content and which cannot. This is based on the user roles registered in WordPress.
When creating content, you can choose to display it only to logged-in users or to users with specific roles.
A new user with Redaction role is not able to do anything… How can someone setup a new article?
This is a brand new installtion…

We can not use Manual without User Role System working. We have used several other WP-User Management Systems and never had such problems…

Users are not able to setup new content on their own? somehow odd system
Sorry your documentation is useless
Could you please let us know what issues you’re encountering and in which areas you’re having difficulty so that we can assist you?
The user management is not working, after an hour trying we only can manage to setup a user with admin role to do anything… every other role does nothing in no category in no content editing or new items… nothing
Implementing roles and providing access to specific content the manual theme depends on the default user roles in WordPress.
You can only grant access to users who are registered with specific user roles at the time of user registration, using the default registration features of WordPress.
Note: Content is always visible when logged in as an admin (administrator). To test content access, you must log in using different accounts with varying roles.
I am aware of wp registration, and it simply does not work, or your doc are useless or maybe bugs with new wordpress?

I liked the theme, before I buy pls answer – Can I use Gutenberg blocks on Separate New Pages (Kadence blocks) not on the Knowledgebase? Will there be any issue?
I liked the theme, before I buy pls answer – Can I add a Mega Menu replacing the one that is there?
I liked the theme, before I buy pls answer – Can I design a Footer of my choice?
Gutenberg blocks can be used within all posts. The upcoming version will support the addition of a mega menu. Although the theme does not include a built-in footer design, you can customize the footer using Elementor and the Elementor Header & Footer plugin.
Thanks
The Docs are minimalistic, video manuals are basic, outdated and very poor quality, No elemtor at all? Where is the beef when i found a plugin on wordpress org which does all the same?
There are so many features without any doc and example layouts, like knowledg items with different layout. Do I have to try out every single options? Is there any chance of image lightscreen popup?

The new and improved documentation for the Manual theme will be released in a few days. The theme combines features like documents, knowledge base, and, FAQ without needing extra plugins except bbpress.
Key features for the documents include:
1. Content loading via AJAX or simple load. 2. Targeted search. 3. Tree view structure. 4. One project per category. 5. Content restriction for individual posts or entire categories.
The knowledge base also supports:
1. Category-based records with subcategories. 2. Content restrictions for logged-in users. 3. Targeted search. 4. Attachments and more.
These features are listed on our landing page.
Note: Frequent updates have delayed the documentation release.
“If you have any questions about the features, please let us know.”
Thanks
Missing a basic explanation what is the logic and concept for all the features… No practible content or announcement or example, what is the difference of Knowledge and documentation structure? All Examples content has no meaing and no logic, the same with all the different Layout and Design looks nice but no real content with logic…
The manual theme has two different sections: Knowledge Base and Documentation.
The Knowledge Base is based on the concept of categories and subcategories. You can create individual projects by choosing one category. The design patterns for the frontend display are classic.
On the other hand, Documentation reflects a similar structure but is designed for one category per project, meaning subcategories are not allowed. The frontend design includes a tree view with normal article loading or AJAX content loading.
THX helps
We have updated to the latest wordpress version (6.5.3) and now the search bar of the manual theme (v. 7.5.3) dissapeared. We have already reset the plugin. The search bar is still gone. is there a way we can solve this issue? Best Regards
If you are upgrading the theme from version 6.5 to the latest, you need to check out our changelog ( https://smartwpthemes.com/documentation/changelog/ ).
There is an alert message from version 7.5 (5th March 2024) that requires reconfiguring the header and footer to adjust to the latest version.
The theme settings have been changed after upgrade and the search bar has been removed. Simply reconfiguring header will fix the issue.
Thanks
The theme comes bundled with the Print-O-Matic plugin, which Wordfence is telling me has a critical security error, and hasn’t been updated in 3 years. Is there some solution for this, such as an alternative plugin that works well with the theme?
The plugin hasn’t undergone testing with the latest three major releases. Its last upgrade was a year ago. However, it still works fine with the latest version of WordPress and keeps site secure.
So, no need to worry. Also, soon the theme will have its own print stuff, so you won’t need the Print-O-Matic plugin anymore.
Thanks
