Unfortunately I’m not satisfied with the theme. The theme design looks awesome, but the theme itself lacks of some features I need. It’s also not really possible for me to find other fonts for the theme that looks good instead of the standard fonts. Shopkeeper or Mr. Tailor I also bought is the way to go.

I saw that you promised some other users in the comments the option to get a refund. I requested the refund four days ago. Nevertheless I sent you a list with some bug reports to make the theme better for all other users.

I don’t say that the theme is bad, but I would recommend to all potential buyers that they should think about their purchase decision. Maybe Shopkeeper is a better choice for their project.

Cheers,

crl

Hello @crlmnstr,

I am sure sorry to see you’re going away and I wish your experience was more positive. Your feedback is valuable and we’ll use it to improve the theme as we more forward. Your refund was now processed.

Thank you and have a good one! Adrian.

How do we add our copyright notice to the footer?

Hello @whereskarlo,

There’s no place for it at the moment, but it’s a valid request so I’ve added it to our list to be implemented with one of the following updates.

Cheers! Adrian.

pre-sale question: FONT. I want to create exactly 99% like what I see in your demo preview.

last time i bought a theme from an author, he said the font he used on the demo set need to be purchased (yearly payment if not mistaken. for the font itself).

So, would like to have your clarification, does the small & big font used in your demo set available for free (google webfont maybe?) or i need to purchase to use it?

Hello @AkhiJoe,

This is Adrian, happy to be talking to you about Merchandiser.

I can confirm that you won’t have to purchase anything extra to use Merchandiser. All fonts are coming from Google Webfonts, so they’re all free.

Cheers! Adrian.

Hey there @adrian_getbowtied. Another amazing theme! Well done sir.

Hi there, love the theme prior to purchase I see you have ajax add to cart then a flyout cart from the right. This is excellent but we need it for the single product as well? can this be done then we can purchase asap.

Many thanks

Bo

Hello Bo,

This is Adrian, happy to be talking to you about Merchandiser.

True, that’s the native functionality of WooCommerce and we haven’t made it ajaxified it because we think they plan to do it as a built-in option with a future update and it would be a shame to result into incompatibility issues. To keep it reliable we must think about the future. I think they haven’t done it yet because it would be hard to implement it on variable or non simple products as well. Maybe you can find a plugin until then or have someone customize it for you if you really need it.

Feel free to get back if you have more questions.

Cheers! Adrian.

Great theme GetBowTied!

I have only one question – is it possible to disable hover effects on products list (shop view, category view, etc)?

Hello @luksradek,

You can disable the 2nd image image that shows up when you hover an item at the current time and we plan to include more options. Can you tell me more about what are you trying to get rid of? Maybe that’s something the support team can help you with even if there’s no option for it yet.

Cheers! Adrian.

I am interested in the theme but read many complaints about the support being too slow and the bugs. Is that temporary or thats your standard practise? I am newbie and I want to make sure I get support from the team when needed. Great work and wish u many sales.

Hello @otorinolaringolog,

This is Adrian, happy to be talking to your about Merchandiser.

I think people are excited to get started with their project and that can sometimes results into such comments. We’re committed to both providing support and updates to fix any issues users report, we’ve done it with other bestselling themes and we’ll sure do it for Merchandiser too. Most people that don’t require support won’t come back to even the negative comments and that’s a shame, but there are many happy customers out there. We’ll soon start a showcase to show everyone what they managed to build using the theme.

I think you should move forward if that’s your only concern and if your experience would be bad we’re happy to confirm a refund.

Cheers! Adrian.

thanks for the reply. Few more questions. Does the ajax add to cart animation work on single product? Its really cool but I see it only on the shop page. If not can it be included? I love the shop sidebar, but can we display the color in swatches instead of text?

This is gorgeous. It has a great zooming effect but would it support YITH Zoom Magnifier on Single Product pages?

Hi @prophecyprojekt,

This is Adrian, happy to be talking to you about Merchandiser.

Glad to hear you like the zooming effect on the product page. The zoom plugin you’re mentioning will conflict the existing gallery in the theme cause they both overwrite the default functionality of the native WooCommerce product gallery. However, we do consider including a similar features as a built-in alternative.

Feel free to get back if you have more questions, I’ll be around.

Have a good one! Adrian.

Great work guys! I want to purchase the theme but I need a multilanguage site. I red that you’re working on WPML. When do you think it’s ready for this? If I purchase the theme now I can update after and have also this functionality? Thank you

Do you think is possibile to have WPML in september?

We’re hoping we won’t have to wait that long :)

perfect! Thank you

Hey guys, I would love to see this working in this theme. —> https://codyhouse.co/gem/add-to-cart-interaction/

Hi again,

Yes, it looks awesome! We’re huge fans of codyhouse.co and we just say it this morning and shared it around the office :) I’ll add a request for it.

Cheers! Adrian.

Customizing this theme is almost impossible except for colors, they made the shop sort and grid icons svg image, instead of font icons or at least woocommerce default. If you add an svg image for the icon it won’t work. For some reason I’ve never been able to use any of Bowtie theme as it’s impossible to really customize it. If a theme has to be core coded why do it with images? When I finally thought I found a theme, now I have to keep looking.

Hello @dmenefee,

I thought your last comment was a support request but I see that you haven’t purchased the theme using this account, anyways, we’re happy to get all the feedback we can get so feel free to let us know more about what are you trying to achieve or what customization options are you missing and would help you get where you want with it.

Cheers! Adrian.

The blog slider isn’t working with Firefox. The category description for WooCommerce categories also isn’t displayed in the right way (in the middle) with Firefox…

Sorry, I already bought Mr. Tailor and Shoopkeper and didn’t regret it, but Merchandiser is full of bugs and lacks of some important features. The blog section also isn’t nearly as good as in Mr. Tailor and other themes.

I came from Savoy, I’m thinking about going back.

Cheers

Hi again,

I checked the blog posts element and I can see what you mean. I’ve forwarded your note to our developers. I am positive they fix it with the following update. Sorry for any inconvenience. If there’s anything else you experience that’s not expected, please just include it as a reply to your support request.

Cheers! Adrian.

Presale Question:

Awesome minimal theme. I have a new project I want to use this theme for but store management features are really important to me. I could not find the information I wanted about this theme from the theme detail page so can you please answer the following questions
  1. Does this theme have the option to upload and change icons (like the sale, cart, etc)
  2. Does it have similar Tax and Shipping Options like in ShopKeeper?
  3. Does it have built-in Coupon System?
  4. Does it have built-in Order Tracking?
  5. Does it have built-in Wish List Option?

Thank You

Hello @dannamite,

This is Adrian, happy to be talking to you about Merchandiser. Good to hear you’d like to use it for your project. I’ll do my best to answer your questions in the next lines.

1. Does this theme have the option to upload and change icons (like the sale, cart, etc)
Yes, you have the option to upload custom icons for those icons in the header.

2. Does it have similar Tax and Shipping Options like in ShopKeeper?
Yes, it is engined about WooCommerce as well.

3. Does it have built-in Coupon System?
Yes, that’s another built-in feature of WooCommerce.

4. Does it have built-in Order Tracking?
Yes, same goes for this one, it’s a built-in WooCommerce functionality and if you’ve used Shopkeeper, it’s exactly the same.

5. Does it have built-in Wish List Option?
No, not as a built-in option, but you can use a wishlist plugin for that.

I will be around if you have more questions.

Cheers! Adrian.

Thanks Adrian.

Is there no related post section or something like a author box below blog posts?

Cheers

Hello @crlmnstr,

I see you’ve opened up a support request, thanks for that, that’s the way to go. No, there’s aren’t any additional option such as author or related posts after the blog posts but feel free to share your feedback when replying to your support request. We’re all ears on better understanding your needs as a blog user so we use it to improve with future updates.

Cheers! Adrian.

for the product page with the thumbnail images, I want one of the thumbnails to play a short video…..how do I achieve this with merchandiser

Hello @samiell,

WooCommerce doesn’t comes with videos a built-in option as part of the galleries. There must be plugins out there for it. I cannot point you to one or the other, I haven’t tested with any so far. You could also embed plugin as part of the description areas of the product.

Cheers! Adrian.

Two quick questions for what might be my next purchase.

1. Can I configure the color palette? 2. Can I turn off infinite scroll? Want to use the footer for information probably.

Thanks!

Hello @whereskarlo,

I see you decided to go with the theme. Great stuff!

About the thumbs in the mobile version of the cart, true, I get what you mean. We plan to update the mobile template and it will include images as well. However, the recommended/cross-selling products shouldn’t be displayed.

About having an additional social media icon, no, there’s no built-in option that would allow you to extent the existing list, but I can file a request for LINE to be added. You’re the first one asking at the current time.

About the My Account are, there’s no built-in option for that either that would help you change the behaviour. We’re currently discussing the option available.

If you have any other questions or need help while you’re setting it up, please reach out to the support team directly.

Thank you and have a good one! Adrian.

Thanks Adrian. My Only gripe so far (apart from a few bugs I will report with a ticket) is the my account button disappearing on mobile view. It would be awesome to keep this or make it optional to be hidden in mobile. Otherwise I would have to add “My Account” to the primary menu, making the my account icon obsolete on desktop.

Regarding Line, I hacked something together with CSS and replaced the Weibo icon with a Line SVG. If you want to implement it properly, here are the icon resources for that service: http://line.me/en/logo

Great! Thanks!

Hi,

Is it possible to have a gap between product images, on a category view? In your demo it looks amazing, because all the images have whitespace around the actual product, but what if you have product images that fill the entire image…

they’d ‘touch’ eachother from one product to the next, making a look a bit cluttered I think… know what I mean?

Sure, fair enough, still kinda depends on the product picture though ;-) Say you’re displaying album covers or stuff with darker / harder colors, it will look less good…

it wouldn’t be too difficult to custom css it myself, but just thought there might be an option for it already…. might be a nice little addition to the theme..

thanks for the quick reply. will be buying soon.

Great! I just discussed with the developers earlier today and we’ll add this option most definitely, hope it will be made available before you start working with it.

Cheers! Adrian.

Nice one, tnx!!
