is your theme Dokan ready?
Hi again @BusinessNL,
Since the theme is less than 1 week old, we haven’t got the change to test with it yet, but it is on our list. If you’d like to start working sooner than that and you figure out something doesn’t work as expected, we’re happy to confirm a refund.
Cheers! Adrian.
? Your theme is fckg awesome! Don’t need a refund, just asking if you have or plan to make it dokan compatible
Thank you for going with Merchandiser! Yes, it is on our roadmap, we learned from the feedback we received so far on all our themes that is a popular choice.
Have a good one! Adrian.
Hands down the best looking and intuitive woocommerce theme I saw this year. Great job – I hope the support and compatibility (WPML for example) are the same! GLWS, I will pick up this theme for my next woocommerce project.
Hi @lebaux,
“best looking and intuitive woocommerce theme I saw this year” sound exactly like what we have planned for so we’re truly happy to hear that
About WPML, we’re definitely on it.
Cheers! Adrian.
WPML is my main concern, could you please let me know when it will be ready? As for the support – I see that you are making only woocommerce themes, so there is a good chance you are great at it.
Sure, we’ll get back to you to let you know as soon as we have news.
Have a good one! Adrian.
Hi, it has been some time, how is that WPML thing going? Thanks!
Amazing work, GLWS
Thanks a lot! Truly appreciated!
Hi. I’m looking to switch from the shopkeeper theme to this new merchandiser theme.
I’d like my users to be able to add multiples item and multiple quantities to their cart all from one page (ie the grid layout page) without needing to see any further product details (we have very simple products)
In the demo when the user click the quick add to cart button a cart preview screen slides in from the right of screen.
What would be involved in (a) allowing users to quickly edit the quantity of items directly in that preview screen.
or (b) disabling the slide in preview and allowimg the user to tap the product image to add and subtract items from the cart.
Option A is obvious a much user friendly option
Hello @davidportaro,
This is Romi, happy to be talking to you about Merchandiser.
I think I get what you mean. If you create variable or grouped product, the quantity and options selector will be displayed in the quick view. I am hoping that works for you. It is the built-in functionality and would not require any other changes.
While you’re checking it out, you can read more about the features of the theme here: https://www.getbowtied.com/meet-merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/
Feel free to get back at any time if you have more questions.
Cheers! Romi
Thanks Romi. Thanks for that.
But I didn’t mean the quick view screen. I mean the cart preview screen the slides in after an item is added to the cart.
Hey guys!
Go black with the thumbnail for showcase your product… Yellow is not so good in such case. I have to go to your portfolio in order to find this theme…
And good luck with sales!
Hi again and thank your for your feedback. We’ll surely keep it in mind for the next updates.
Cheers! Romi
PS question – I’m new to WordPress and WooCommerce – is there a way to find out what exactly can vs. cannot be customized in this theme? Also, for the Shop page, instead of the regular grids is there a way to show the products in a Pinterest-style grid (i.e. irregular grid), whether within the theme or through some kind of third-party plugin?
Thank you!
Hi @wishly,
This is Romi, happy to be talking to you about Merchandiser.
Yes, you can go with a Pinterest style layout or the classic grid. You can even choose to hide the title and the price to use images only in the list. You can choose the number of products per row, per page and choose to have a sidebar (for filter widgets) or not.
We don’t have a backed demo at the current time, but you can watch this short video to make better sense of how the Customizer works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sU-eUMnpVlY
You can also read more about the theme here: https://www.getbowtied.com/meet-merchandiser-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/ and then let me know if you have more questions or concerns.
Have a good one! Romi
Hi, I just purchased the theme! Sorry for the possibly basic questions: 1) in the header, is it possible to have the logo aligned to the left, and have all the menu items on the right? For the menu, I’d like to have all the links show in the header, not as a dropdown under the word “menu”.
2) I see that it is possible to have a “coming soon” page as the home page, with full-screen image. How do I do that? I couldn’t find an option in the customizer/visual composer.
Again, very new here so sorry if it is just a matter of writing up some CSS or using plug-ins. THANK YOU!!
Hi @wishly,
Adrian here this time. You shouldn’t be worried about asking questions, we’ll always do our best to help.
1) Yes, you can align your logo to the left. You can find all the options of the theme in the Customizer so in your Administration Dashboard, navigate to Appearance > Customizer. Once you’re there, this is what you should be looking for on your screen: http://www.screencast.com/t/jlqjd3XehG
2) If you’ve imported the demo content you can use that page as the homepage and simply hide the navigation and the icons from the Customizer interface mentioned above. To set that page as the front page, navigate to Settings > Reading.
There’s no need for plugins or custom code so far
Whenever you have more question, please reach out to the support team directly via: https://my.getbowtied.com
Cheers! Adrian.
Ok, shut up and take my money. Great work as I said before. Hope to be able to make it suit my needs.
Thanks for deciding to go with it. Best of luck with your project.
Cheers! Romi
Pre-sales Question. Can i have the main menu on the left side?
Hi @BusinessNL,
This is Adrian, I am happy to be talking to your about Merchandiser.
You can set the navigation to be aligned to center or left but there’s no vertical navigation at the current time if that’s what you’re looking for.
Feel free to get back if you have more questions.
Cheers! Adrian.
Ok. Thanks
Hi, can i use wpml with this?
Hello @koyukii,
Yes you can, we don’t foresee any issues. However, I think I should let you know the we’re sending the theme to the WPML developers this week for a deeper testing. We know it’s the most popular choice when it comes to multi-language / multi-currency sites so we’ll do our best to make sure they work well together.
Cheers! Adrian.
thank you adrian!
I presently have a Shopkeeper theme, and it makes me wonder how smooth is the switching process to Merchandiser theme. I would like to know if pages, products will still look the same or it will require some additional work to bring all to the same appearance.
Hello @inter71,
Adrian here, happy to be talking to your about Merchandiser.
The transition is different from site to site and it depends on the content you have on your existing pages. Since you own Shopkeeper, you can reach out to the support team, provide a link to your site and we’ll do our best to guide you further. I am positive you will be able to do it, even if it may require some small tweaks on custom built pages but the products and everything else should be good to go.
Cheers! Adrian.
I recently went from Mr.Tailor to Merchandiser and the installation cause all my product pages to go blank. In addition to that, I continue to update the visual composer plugin and it’s not allowing me to do so. Am I required to purchase this plugin separately to upgrade it even if I’ve just purchased another theme?
Hello @gcartmell,
This is Adrian. I’ll do my best to help you get to the bottom of this. You don’t need to purchase the plugin, it comes with Merchandiser as well and every time a new update is available, you should be able to see it under Merchandiser > Plugins.
About the products going blank, we need to look into that. Please reach out to the support team and provide a link to your site and a temporary admin username and password.
Have a good one! Adrian.
Adrian, I tried submitting to the team but the site isn’t accepting the ticket. Something is broken. In addition to that I’ve reached out to you on Twitter and Facebook. Just an FYI. You will know who I am. Thanks.
Header features
Hello there,
That’s a common issue caused by not uploading the correct zip file. Go back to http://themeforest.net/downloads and when clicking the Download button, choose the “Installable WordPress file only”. This is what you should be looking for on your screen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3zBPwxoHZ4
Cheers! Adrian.
I noticed the coming soon page looks like a nifty email subscription form, but all I see is the button. Is there suppose to be an form here? also will it be integrated with Mail Chimp?
Hello @borderbabe2412,
Most email & newsletter services come with their own form, if you go with MailChimp you could link the button to MailChimp’s subscription form. Alternatively you could use a plugin that would add a form instead if that’s what you like. There should be lots of MailChimp plugins out there.
Cheers! Adrian.
Hi, big Getbowtied fan here
LOOOVE the new theme.
Quick question: can I add a wishlist functionality via plugin ?
tkx
Hello @clantanel,
Good to hear you LOOOVE it!
Yes you can, I don’t foresee any issues with that.
Feel free to get back at any time if you have more questions.
Cheers! Adrian.
Really nice work Adrian and team getbowtied! Happy to see the performance stats are better than Shopkeeper : ) I also love the search functionality!
Are there any plans to add a portfolio? And is there more than one gallery option?
Cheers!!
P.S. I also wanted to mention you might want to reconsider the icon for the theme—it doesn’t catch the eye. I passed it over many times before catching your developer name…
Hello @mwhite8216,
Thank you for your kind words!.
Are there any plans to add a portfolio?
No, it isn’t on our roadmap so far but we’re collecting feedback
And is there more than one gallery option?
Yes, assuming you’re referring to the product page. You can choose to use gallery currently active on the demo or go for a classing gallery with smaller images and without the zooming feature. Similar to the one on Shopkeeper.
You feedback is valuable, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Cheers! Adrian.
Hi again, I have a pre-sale question. I want to use your theme with the “Improved Variable Product Attributes for WooCommerce” plugin. What I would like to know is if you can help me with the small customizations I would need to use both your theme and the plugin as I need. What I want is totally possible right now with the plugin, but I want to know if it’s also possible with the theme. I want my variable product to be shown on archive pages ( the plugin does this ), wit the qty and the add to cart button ( the plugin does this ). Ok, what I would love to do is show the options I want when hovering the product ( this is where I need you ), like now it’s done in the theme with the add to cart and the quickview button. ( Photo attached ). This would be nice for me in terms of marketing because people will be able to choose what they want, right on the home screen without entering the product.
P.D. The product would be a sized product, not the coffee one! Sorry for this!
https://thestinky.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/variable.png
If yes, please take my money!
Hi again,
Thanks for putting together a mockup to make it clear. I can see what the plugin does and I would expect it to work well with its default styles. Now I understand you might want to customize that output and I am not sure if we can provide you with such help, some things may seem simple but in reality they need more than just two lines of code. Since simple is better we’re do our best not to bundle the styles files of the theme with code that only some people would use. In such cases, I’d recommend Envato Studio. This is where you can find someone to help you with this customization or maybe even ask the plugin author if they provide customizations services. We do not provide such services ourselves, as much as we like to, we don’t have enough resources available to do it. Envato Studio is always fair in terms of pricing and timeframe.
Feel free to get back if you have more questions. I’ll be around.
Cheers! Adrian.
now this is well made ecommerce theme. I haven’t seen this kind of quality before here. What if my logo is larger height? Can I adjust the size of the nav bar?
Hi @spindalp,
Thank for checking out Merchandiser. It’s really got to receive such great feedback.
Yes, of course, you can adjust the size of the logo as well as the overall height of the header or font sizes of the navigation.
Cheers! Adrian.
Awesome, good luck with the sales!!
Thanks @Thaixo!
