Yes, you can adjust the size of the header using the option built into Customizer. About the related products, no, the one in the demo is the only option at the current time but we do consider adding more option for the product page so I’ll turn this into a feature request.

Great to hear that you consider adding more options for the product page. Especially the related section needs improvement. Savoy for example offers the option to choose the number of related products.
Other questions I have:
1. Isn’t there any option to show related products below blog pages? 2. Is it somehow possible to “disable” the single shop pages? It would be great when only the “quick view” opens when selecting a product.
One issue:
The page http://merchandiser.getbowtied.com/faqs/ isn’t showing completly with Firefox on macOS. It just ends right below “What if my items are damaged or defective?”.

1. For as far as I know you cannot associate products to be related with blog posts, but you can use Visual Composer inside a post and insert product elements which can be added to the cart directly from the blog post.
About the FAQs page, most probably a matter of visual composer settings. Thanks for pointing it out.

4. Where the thumbnail for each blogpost is taken from? I got a post thumbnail for every post, but it isn’t working. There’s no image in slider.
I tried it with Safari and I can see these thumbnails. With Firefox on macOS there are no thumbnails in the blog slider.
I can see if you other comments you’ve figure out why were the images missing.

I’ve tested the theme with https://wordpress.org/plugins/kool-multistep-product-configurator/ assuming this is the plugin you we’re mentioning and it doesn’t seem to be working really well and it’s not just a compatibility issues, it doesn’t seem to be working as expected with other themes or the default ones either. Appears to be a relatively new plugin, first version.
Let me know if there’s a different plugin you were talking about.

I have tested it on the default free theme of woocommerce and it works great.. It’s important for me that will works great on Merchandiser

What are the options for Products Page customization? Can the formatting of the elements on the individual Product Page be customized via the theme to be stacked, instead of side by side (product images vs. brief description with purchase options).

No, you can’t do that with the product page. It has two options for the product gallery, the large one in the demo or a smaller, classic one. We do consider adding more features with future update, so I’ll turn this into a feature request.

Hi Adrian, I couldn’t reply to at the review section so I’ll write here.
It’s not about one feature. It’s about the intention and the idea of not building to higher quality and advance from the last creation. That’s why it’s halv made. Obvisouly your intention is to have plenty of woocommerce themes but not one bringing satisfaction. It’s odd that there’s always something missing.
If it’s a woocommerce theme I would expect that it’s highly incorporated into woocommerce, else I could go buy any other theme that supports woocommerce, right.
I don’t want a refund! What’s $56. I am happy to pay $1000 to get to know you as developers and as a company. Better to know today what people / company I rely on for woocommerce themes than getbowtied the deeper I go with you!

Everyone has the right to share an opinion and we welcome yours too but please note that we never focused on quantity as theme authors but quality instead. We’ve released the 4th theme in our fifth year of existence and we haven’t done anything else beside so it’s not our goal to have lots of themes, but to cover different eCommerce needs instead.
There is a lot of work involved into releasing a theme like Merchandiser, it has 1 year of work behind it and as said before, it’s not less powerful than Shopkeeper, it’s just different and it’s more powerful in a few different aspects. It is built on a different framework and having the exact same option wouldn’t have made Merchandiser any better than Shopkeeper.
If it’s more than just the Add to Cart button, please reach out to the support team and provide your list of requirements. I can promise your feedback and perspective will be discussed with the team and we’ll do our best to improve.
We cannot expect everyone to be happy with the theme but we can at least make sure you weren’t mislead in any way and the rating isn’t based on assumption or expectation. It is a different theme from Shopkeeper and it should be expected to have different features or behaviour and we think it should be rated for what is meant to be and not base on the experience with Shopkeeper.
I suggested the refund cause it’s only fair to get your money back if you don’t plan to use it.
We’re are looking forward on hearing back more details from you. It will help us know each other better but most of all understand your needs and expectations.

Hi Guys, perfect theme. Pre-purchase question: just wondering about Audio player support with the theme as I would like to allow users to preview audio before purchasing but I don’t like the default WP player. Can I use audio and can I style it to fit the look of the site? Thanks

Glad to hear you find Merchandiser perfect. I am hoping you can find some good use for it. About the audio player, we haven’t done anything in particular, it is not the most demanded feature I must say, but some I do get that for some users like you are, it is crucial to have it in place.
The theme makes use of the default styling, here’s how it looks like: http://screencast.com/t/CyuszUU189 Hope that works for you. Alternatively, you can use a service that provides embedables, such as Soundcloud, which comes with their own player and styles.
About the footer, it’s a minimalistic one, you can choose to have links/icons to your social media profiles and a navigation menu. You can change the background color, the color of the icons and text and you can also choose to have a sticky footer.

Going to take down theme if this is not working, there is no way this theme should be published with this bugs in it. Can’t customize theme!

I am using Merchandiser for just few days… Clean, fast, very well organized and above all the most mobile friendly theme i ever seen… What a great job! The only issue i have with this theme is that when i set grid style for the shop, the products appear in vertical list (but masonery works good) Also the related products in product page appears in a vertical list not in grid like in the Demo. Had anyone else the same problem?

What are the options for Products Page customization? I can see in the Customization video that is one of the options, but it doesn’t show what the formatting or otherwise options are. I love this theme but am looking to customize the fairly standard format of the Products page to something that better suits my needs, if possible.
Does the theme support Revolution slider? Or how we can align the text for mobile? Otherwise if we have image with a model the text covers it and it looks unprofessional on mobile.
Also if we upload png image, there are no settings for naked header logo. It means if we upload white logo, it ll not look good on naked header. And if we upload black logo, once u scroll down it wont be shown at all, since if I want the header background to be black. Any solution?
This is so frustrating! I hate to give negative reviews but what the hell is going on here? Four days and no reply on ticket specifically about WPML which doesnt work at all. Then even a simple question concerning a revolution slider and logo being ignored and no response for more than a day.
I am coming here after working with the Swiftideas team. They were handling most difficult questions within 24 hours, and replying on comments in max 3 hours. There is no point in asking people for a refund. We kindly ask you to take our requests more seriously. Thank you!

Hey guys, my question also seems to relate to the above.
I understand the reasoning is to make it minimal but I’d still love to be able to have some sort of footer (x 4 columns) so I can add widgets as you can with your other themes ..

There is a menu location for links in the footer, it just wasn’t populated at the time, but you can check again now. However, it is true that there’s no widget area at the current time but we definitely consider it for one of the following updates.

I really like the theme, but to be honest I’m missing something like a sub menu for i. e. Privacy Policy and copyright text in the footer as you can see in many other themes like Savoy.

@estudisimple the same problem over here. The child theme’s css is not loading. Applying a fix from https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes solved it. The child theme still has shopkeeper data (presumably from duplicating it) in there. Just create a functions.php in your child theme and add the following code in php:

Sure you have the option to upload your own logo, the text version is a default for those who don’t have a logo for their business yet.
2) Can it include links in the footer?
Yes you can, there’s a menu location on the right side of the future, please check the demo again: http://merchandiser.getbowtied.com It wasn’t populated at the time you checked it.
3) Under the drop-down menu on the top, can it use a photo as the background?
No, regretfully not at the current time, but our developers are already talking about such improvements and we’ll see new features with future updates.

Sure, the eCommerce functionality is powered by WooCommerce and it comes with all its goodness.

Hi Adrian, Thank you very much for your prompt responses! It would be too good to say no to this theme. For your future updates, can you please also consider the following if possible? 1) showing short content under the title of each product in the shop page. 2) showing short content under the title of each post in the blog page. 3) giving the option of showing the sidebar in the blog.
