We use Merchandiser Theme in our website. We use also Yoast SEO plugin, and noticed the following problem:

in backend, the checkbox of the page options are not show correctly with Yoast SEO activated.

We contacted Yoast SEO support, and after investigating they said:

“The checkbox does not show correctly when the Yoast SEO plugin is active due to your theme or the specific checkbox functionality using the same class name, and because of that, it’s not loading correctly. To fix this, the theme developer (providing that checkbox option and using the class that conflicts with Yoast SEO’s CSS file) needs to change the class name to something other than the mentioned one. You can confirm this from the screenshots attached to this email; changing the class name from components-checkbox-control__input to components-checkbox-control__input1 shows the checkbox for the “Show Page Title” correctly. That means the CSS class name, which the Yoast SEO uses, is also used by your theme for specific settings, or it’s getting overridden.

So, to fix this, we recommend that you contact the theme developer. They can check this further and easily change the class name for the particular functionality.”

I think that this problem needs to be solved not only for us, but for everyone who uses the Merchandiser theme and Yoast SEO plugin.

You will probably want to fix this: Your theme demo seems to be hijacked, as it forwards to some other domain, whereupon browsers block the site loading with a security warning.

I’ve updated the theme after your email to address a critical security vulnerability in WooCommerce. However, there is a bug in Mega Menu navigation style. It reads: <header class=”site-header” style=”background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);”> instead of: <header class=”site-header” style=”background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);”> like in Live Preview. Same with the fonts. This works fine with Dropdown Menu.

I have a fresh WP installation with only demo data from your Merchandiser Main Template Kit and it’s the same.

Can you please fix this?

Hello!! As of Woocommerce 8.9.1 there is a warning that a template in Merchandiser is out of date. Do you plan to fix this with an update? The template in question is merchandiser/woocommerce/archive-product.php version 3.4.0 is out of date. The core version is 8.6.0
