That is a really awesome theme now. May I know, will you add Event ticketing support from the events calendar plugin to sell tickets? if yes, any demo in plan?

Thank you for the appreciation, we are glad you like our theme. Most plugins for managing events have their own ticketing system add-ons. And there are quite a few plugins for events. If I may ask, for what exactly would you like to have support? Maybe we could add something, I’ll make a note if it once it’s clear. Please let me know.

Your theme is already compatible with The Events Calendar plugin, but it has not yet been tested with the Event Tickets plugin (from the same plugin series). Many directory-based websites — including fashion, wedding, wine, food, and lifestyle directories — regularly host events and need the ability to sell tickets directly on their sites. At the moment, this is not confirmed to work with your theme.

Since you have recently added directory functionality to several of your demo sites, it would be extremely helpful if you could also test the Event Tickets plugin and include a few sample events with tickets in your demos. This would give customers confidence that your theme fully supports ticket-selling features without any compatibility issues.

The testing is straightforward and should not take much time. Once you officially confirm support for Event Tickets, your existing users will be very happy, and you will also attract many new customers who rely on event management and ticket sales for their businesses.

Some of the newer templates use global colors, for example https://prnt.sc/3jz1P-2ioCN4 This makes it easier to change the colors throughout the website, as you only have to change them there. But not all the demos use global colors however, for the rest of the demos it must be done manually. That’s an interesting idea, maybe we could do it in the future. For now, as far as I know there aren’t any plans to do so but it will be considered.

Hello,

I purchased this theme a few years ago, but never had a chance to use it until now. I’m having trouble activating it. When I enter my purchase code and email, I get the message: “Theme successfully activated. Thanks for buying our product.”

However, the theme still shows as Unregistered, and it keeps prompting me to register again. Even after repeating the process, it never updates to “Registered.”

Could you please assist me with fixing this issue? Thank you!

That sounds like a caching issue. Object cache can prevent the theme from being activated. We will take a look at the issue, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website, admin login (user and pass) and the key. We may also need access to cPanel or FTP. Thanks for your response — your suggestion worked! Clearing the cache fixed the registration issue.

However, I’m now seeing a security warning related to the tagDiv Cloud Library plugin:

“WordPress tagDiv Cloud Library Plugin < 3.9.2 is vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS). Risks: This could allow a malicious actor to inject malicious scripts, such as redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into your website which will be executed when guests visit your site.”

Do you have an updated version of the plugin available to address this vulnerability?

That’s great news.

That issue you mentioned is already fixed. The cloud library is version 3.9.2, if you use the latest theme version then there’s no problem. The vulnerability affected older versions of the plugin, meaning < 3.9.2.

That depends on the demo you installed. The older listing demos require modifications in the plugin directly, for the newer demos it can be done in the ACF plugin. I see you installed the theme and imported a theme demo. Looks fine so far. After importing a demo the website will look exactly like the live demo. The next step is to customize the demo, things like setting your own menus, logos, block filtering, etc. Please try it. Hi, when trying to configure cloud blocks, the Article Image – Image size has to be chosen from a dropdown that contains 8 image size options ranging from small 218×150px to large images 1920×0px which none of them exist/are in use so the composer asks to enable thumb even when there are several image sizes available (but not shown) and at least one of them of the required width. Is there something I have to do for the composer to detect available images and fill the dropdown with those? or a way to add somewhere a specific size? Making new sets of thumbs for 40,000 plus articles it’s not a good idea because of file count. Thank you!

Hi Simion, then since I have active (turned on) in the theme panel and in use the sizes 80×60, 218×150, 100×70, 324×160, 534×462 and 696×385 and none of them show in the dropdown selector it means I have a problem. All of them have been active in the theme panel and in use (all of them exist) for years now. That’s what I meant by active, active on the theme / thumbs on modules/block list. So it’s not detecting them because there’s an error.

Those thumbs are used by the older theme blocks, the ones that we separated in the optional standard pack plugin a few years ago. The blocks from the standard pack plugin use the thumbs you mentioned https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbs-on-modules-and-blocks/ So these blocks https://prnt.sc/or1LItHl-Sc5 These blocks don’t have options to select a thumb size, they are predefined, and they can only use the thumb size defined in their code.

Eventually we added the new flex blocks with their own set of thumbnails. Only flex blocks have the option to select the thumb size, and you can only select from their own set of thumbs, not all the thumbs the theme creates.

The older blocks are different from the flex blocks, the main difference is that the flex blocks display the image as a background in the modules. That is why we created a set of thumbs specially for flex blocks, and this also allows for making the modules look in a lot of ways https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks

To summarize, if you want to use the thumb sizes that you mentioned, you must use the older blocks, not flex blocks. I hope it is clearer now.

That issue was fixed. If you are using the latest theme version it should not happen anymore. I checked now with the latest 12.7.3 theme version and the notice is not displayed. Regarding Ai, the theme does not have such integration for the job board demo https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_job_hunt_pro/ but there are ai plugins (such as those that generate articles) that can be set on the CPT from the job board demo if needed.

The job application will be visible in both the employer dashboard and the admin area.

Hello Author,

Our current WordPress contains an older Newspaper theme 7.1.1 version and comes bundled with an older WPBakery 5.0.1 plugin version. Due to security vulnerabilities, we need to upgrade the theme and the plugin. If we get the latest license (Newspaper v12 theme, v8.7 WPBakery plugin) below,

1) Will it be the correct approach to upgrade both at the same time, or do they need to be upgraded individually? 2) Will it cause a lot of issues or be a smooth upgrade? 3) Does support assist with issues if the upgrade runs into issues?

That should work. It’s the latest wordpress. And while the PHP version is the very minimum, it should still work. I suggest updating the theme. Before that, you could download the theme you are using now, using a file manager, so in case there are major issues with the new version you can put the old version back and get the website working again. Please try it, in my opinion it should work fine in this case.

Hello there, Any ideea what settings i must to for for POST VIEWS counter to count also the external source? Like Facebook, TikTok or Youtube ? The number of the view what it’s show on the post view it’s not the same like on Google Analitycs! For cache i use LiteSpeed Cache. Maibe i must to make a setting from there ?

Hi,

The theme view counter is not an accurate website statistic like analytics. For website statistics please only check analytics. The view counter from the theme is very simple, each time the page is loaded it counts a view. The number of views are mostly used for the sorting by popularity on the blocks, and they are rough estimates. Sometimes the view counter may not count the views correctly, as it can be affected by caching. So most likely the view count from the theme will never be the same as analytics. It wasn’t intended to be an accurate view counter unfortunately.
