Ciao, with the last update there are messed up files with another theme “konte”, please fix this asap, I had my whole website messed up!

Hello,

We’re really sorry about this! We made a mistake and accidentally uploaded the wrong theme files (from our Konte theme) to the Sober package.

We’ve just re-uploaded the correct Sober theme files. Please download the theme again from ThemeForest and reinstall it – your site should be back to normal right away.

Again, sincere apologies for the trouble this caused. If you run into any issues after updating, just let us know and we’ll help sort it out.

Ciao, thanks for the super quick reply and update! (anyway i restored a backup when noticed it) will update again asap! :)

Thanks so much for your understanding, and we’re sorry again for the hassle. Please let us know if anything comes up after you update!

Hello, I am having an issue with the WooCommerce checkout page. The button to accept the terms and conditions is not visible. My customers cannot tick the box and therefore cannot place an order. Could you please do something to resolve this issue? Kind regards

We’ve reviewed your checkout page again and can confirm you did it correctly. The terms and conditions checkbox is now visible and clickable. Here’s a screenshot showing it’s working: https://snipboard.io/Nkv9yJ.jpg

However, the layout and design of the checkout page still looks unaligned. This appears to be caused by custom CSS that’s been added to your website.

Please check Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and refine the custom CSS code to restore the proper design.

Hello, I confirm you that nothing change. The button still not appears that you can see on your screenshot. Please do something.

Hello,

We noticed your checkout template structure appears to have been modified, which is preventing the theme’s default styles from being applied correctly.

Since you’re using a child theme, could you temporarily switch to the parent Sober theme to confirm if the issue is caused by custom code in your child theme?

For a quick fix, try adding this CSS to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

.validate-required input[type="checkbox"] {
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: 4px;
    position: static;
}

Thank you

Hello, do you have a size guide in a product detail?

Hi there!

Yes, Sober has a built-in size guide system. You can follow this documentation to enable and set it up: https://docs.uix.store/sober/#/shop/size-guide

Version 9.6.0 of sober/woocommerce/single-product/related.php is obsolete. The core version is 10.3.0.

Please update?

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this. Our development team is working on updating the related product templates. We’ll release an update soon.

In the meantime, the template will continue to function normally – this notice is informational and doesn’t affect your site’s functionality.

Since WooCommerce and WPBakery Page Builder plugins have been updated a long time ago, why hasn’t the theme been updated yet? I’m looking forward to the new update arriving soon. Thank you.

Hello,

We’re actively working on the theme update and it will be released soon. We ensure all compatibility testing is thorough before releasing updates to maintain stability for all users.

The current version of Sober remains compatible with the latest WooCommerce and WPBakery Page Builder versions. You can continue using your site without issues while we finalize the new release.

Thank you

Hi, Can we have a demo link to try it on the dashboard side ?

Hi,

Unfortunately, we don’t have an admin demo available for the Sober theme at the moment. However, we do have comprehensive online documentation that covers all the theme settings and features in detail, which should give you a clear understanding of how everything works on the dashboard side.

You can check out the documentation here: https://docs.uix.store/sober/

The documentation includes step-by-step guides, screenshots, and explanations of all the theme options, customization settings, and features. This should help you get a good sense of what the admin experience is like and how to configure the theme for your store.

Thank you

I am getting some form of issue from the theme being outdated in conjunction with Woocommerce. “Your theme (Sober) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce.” Specifically things relating to the checkout page as well seem to be crazily outdated. On my end everything is updated, one of the suggesstions from wordpress was to contact the themes author about this. On my website checkout page everything is grayed out and there are infinitely loading circles on all of the sections.

In Woocommerce I am seeing things such as: “sober/woocommerce/cart/cart.php version 7.9.0 is out of date. The core version is 10.1.0, sober/woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php version 9.4.0 is out of date. The core version is 10.0.0 sober/woocommerce/checkout/form-login.php version 3.8.0 is out of date. The core version is 10.0.0”

I also can no longer edit the checkout page, I used elementor with Sober and everything was relatively fine but now when I attempt to edit the checkout page I get the following message: “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” yet the other pages I can edit fine with elementor.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you’re using an outdated version of the theme.

Please update your theme to the latest version first. This should resolve the outdated template warnings.

After updating, if you’re still having problems or need help with the update process, please open a support ticket on our official support site.

https://uix.ticksy.com/

Our team can then provide direct assistance and investigate the Elementor critical error if it persists.

Hello Sober Theme development team,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are writing to report a critical, reproducible bug in the Sober theme, related to the native featured video functionality for WooCommerce products.

1. Problem Description: When using the product search on a mobile device, if the search results include a product that uses the theme’s native “Product Video” feature, any attempt to click on that product link fails. Instead of redirecting to the product page, the user is redirected to the homepage. This issue breaks a key part of the mobile user journey.

2. Steps to Reproduce: The bug can be reproduced consistently with the following steps:

On a mobile device, navigate to a site using the Sober theme.

Set a featured video for a WooCommerce product using the theme’s built-in “Product Video” meta box.

Open the mobile search bar.

Search for the product with the featured video.

The product appears correctly in the AJAX search results.

Tap on the product link in the results.

Actual Behavior: The user is redirected to the site’s homepage.

Expected Behavior: The user should be taken to the single product page.

3. Technical Diagnosis: We have debugged this issue and pinpointed the cause. When the search results are rendered via AJAX, the theme’s scripts fail to properly enqueue the MediaElement.js library. This results in a fatal JavaScript error in the browser console: Uncaught ReferenceError: mejs is not defined

This error occurs in the mediaelement-migrate.min.js file and halts further script execution, preventing the click event from being handled correctly. This functionality is part of your companion plugin, Sober Addons, but is failing within the theme’s mobile search context.

4. Request: Could you please investigate this incompatibility and provide a patch in the next theme update? The inability for mobile users to access products from search is a critical issue for our client’s store.

We are available to provide temporary admin credentials or any further information you may need to troubleshoot this.

Thank you for your time and for developing this great theme. We look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Hello,

Thank you for this detailed bug report! We really appreciate you taking the time to thoroughly document the issue with the mobile search functionality and product videos.

Our developer team will investigate this issue. To help us reproduce and test the fix properly, could you please share your website URL?

Thanks again for the comprehensive report!

Hello,

Thank you for your prompt reply. The website URL is: https://bodhi.ar/

Please let me know if you need any additional details to help reproduce the issue.

Best regards, Antonio

Hi Antonio,

Thanks for sharing the URL. I’ve checked your website and noticed a few things:

1. I don’t see the AJAX search function on mobile – the mobile header shows the cart icon instead.

2. The `mediaelement-migrate.min.js` error you mentioned is occurring on page load, not during AJAX search operations, so it may not be directly related to the search redirect issue.

This suggests the problem might be caused by caching or optimization plugins interfering with the theme’s JavaScript functionality. Could you temporarily disable any caching plugins (like WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, etc) or JavaScript optimization plugins and test the mobile search again?

Hello,

I’m using Style 2 to display products. I’d like to know if it’s possible to move the description, additional information, and reviews tabs to the right column. I don’t see any options, and in all product styles, the three tabs are displayed below the product images (never on the right). Thank you and congratulations on this great theme.

Hello,

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to move the product tabs (description, additional information, and reviews) to the right column. The theme doesn’t include layout customization options for repositioning these tabs on the product page.

The tabs are designed to display below the product images across all product styles, and there’s no built-in setting to change this placement.

If you need this specific layout, you would require custom development work to modify the product page template files.

Thanks for the kind words about the theme! We appreciate your feedback and will consider layout flexibility for future updates.

OK Thanks

Hello, my wooCommerce status is showing a lot of over ride templates that are outdated even though I have updated the theme to the latest version.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. Please check if Sober is successfully updated to the latest version (3.5.8). If you’re not on version 3.5.8, please update the theme and the outdated template issue should be resolved.

Thank you for the quick reply. I have checked and I am running the latest version.

Since you’re on the latest version, the outdated templates are likely overridden in your child theme or you may have customized email templates that weren’t updated.

If you’re using a child theme or had custom development work done, please contact the developer who worked on your website. They’ll need to update the template files to match the current WooCommerce versions.

Could you please share a screenshot of the WooCommerce Status report showing the outdated templates? This will help identify exactly which files need updating.

Thank you

We are having the exact same issue as @adminremotto, with the latest version causing the terms checkbox not appearing on checkout.

Additionally, the products table in the checkout page is messed up and misaligned.

The issue seems to be effecting guests. When a user is signed in, everything works fine.

Because of those issues, we reverted to version 3.5.7 from 3.5.8.

Today we encountered another issue on the checkout page: The coupon_code field is completely missing from the html, and the buyer is unable to submit their coupon.

I don’t know if the last issue is specific to 3.5.7 or is it fixed on 3.5.8. But since the latest version seems to have issues, we can’t risk and upgrade again.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback! The missing terms checkbox can be manually enabled by editing your Checkout block.

Here’s a screenshot showing exactly where to find this setting:

https://prnt.sc/bPWwg9K-C6rW

With other issues, they look like a cache-related problem. The guest-specific nature of these issues strongly suggests caching problems where logged-in users bypass certain cache layers.

Please clear all caches to test this issue again.

Thank you

Hi there, I’m currently using your theme for my WooCommerce store and I’ve encountered a critical issue on the mobile version of the checkout page. The checkbox to accept the “Terms and Conditions” is not being displayed at all, which prevents customers from finalizing their orders.

I’ve already tried disabling all plugins to rule out conflicts, but the issue persists. The field appears correctly on desktop, but it’s completely missing on mobile devices.

Could you please advise if this is a known issue with the theme or if there’s a workaround I can implement? I’m using the latest version of WordPress and WooCommerce.

Thanks in advance for your support. Best regards

Thanks for your screenshots. I’ve reviewed your website and noticed that all the theme CSS for the checkout page is missing. This explains why the layout appears broken and the checkbox isn’t displaying properly.

It should be displayed as shown in this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/cmuqgaajxd4_

Did you modify any theme files? This often causes CSS to break.

To fix this, please reinstall the Sober theme. This should restore the missing CSS and fix both the checkbox and layout issues.

Hello! I’ve already reinstalled the theme but the problem persists. How can I get the previous version? I didn’t modify any files. I just updated the theme as always

If you need the previous version (3.5.7), please contact us using the contact form on our profile page:

https://themeforest.net/user/uixthemes#contact

We can provide you with the earlier version there.

Thank you

Hi there i got Sober theme on one of my websites, but its not getting updates and as it was developed by someone else how could i know that theme is licensed or not. I can not find theme options to see license status. Please guide and let me know because its not getting updates and conflicting with few plugins as well. Thanks

waiting for your kind response

Hi,

If you purchase a new license, you can activate it directly on your current installation without affecting your live website.

The activation won’t change your current design or content – it just unlocks the update functionality.

Once you have a valid license key, please open a ticket on our support site – our team will be ready to help with any questions you may have.

Hello,

I hope you are well.

I have a big issue on my website. The Menu (on Mobile) doesn’t open. So when clicking on the hamburger menu, nothing happens!

Even the Revolution slider doesn’t display on Mobile anymore.

What is the problem with the theme?

Can you please fix it ASAP, my users can’t do much!

Thank you

I also have this message on my dashboard

Your theme (Sober Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need to be updated to ensure compatibility with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions for resolving this issue:

Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available, contact the theme author to inquire about compatibility with the current version of WooCommerce. If you have copied a template file to modify it, you will need to copy the new version of the template and re-apply your changes.

Hello

I managed to find the issue. I just have a question, does your theme have a problem with Jetpack?

When Jetpack is activated on my website, I have the issue I mentioned above. When it is not activated, the website works fine.

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback! Our Sober theme actually works well with Jetpack – we’re it for CDN and image lazy loading features. However, the issue you’re experiencing is likely caused by Jetpack’s advanced JavaScript caching/optimization features, which can interfere with our theme’s mobile menu and slider functionality.

To fix this issue, you can try to disable any JavaScript-related optimization features in Jetpack. They are usually placed in Jetpack > Settings > Performance & Speed.

Regarding the outdated WooCommerce templates warning, this can be resolved by updating your Sober theme to the latest version. The newer version includes updated WooCommerce template files that are compatible with the current WooCommerce version.

my website was hacked and someone got in through the backend to post random pages, over 9000, i since cleared it all, but now my layout is not the same as it use to be. simple question, which file do i access to fix the layout of the main page of how it use to be? thank you so much.

- Your products and store data are safe: they’re stored in the database, not theme files. Reinstalling the theme won’t affect your products, orders, or customer data.

- About the layout: Your front page layout isn’t stored in a theme file – it’s built with your page builder (WPBakery or Elementor) and saved in the database. Since hackers may have modified theme files, reinstalling the theme is still the safest approach to ensure no malicious code remains.

- To restore Home v16 layout:

If you’re using Elementor, you can easily reimport the Home v16 template. Please check this documentation:

https://docs.uix.store/sober/#/elementor/templates

thank you for your help. i found out after days that it was just the plugin from elementor after you mentioned it… for some reason wp bakery was on and elementor was off. i turned it back on and turned off wp bakery now, my layout has adjusted back to its normal view. perhaps it was an update or someone got in and turned off some plugins. its all fixed now. thank you again. great theme and i recommend to everyone!

We’re glad you figured it out! And thank you so much for the kind words about Sober and for recommending it to others. We really appreciate your support and feedback.

Hi your theme doesn’t support opening lightbox in portfolio gallery?

Hi there,

The Sober theme doesn’t include a built-in lightbox feature for portfolio galleries. However, you can easily add this functionality with a lightbox plugin.

Thank you

Do you have a plugin to recommend because I already know I’ll waste a lot of time searching?

Hey, I would like to buy the source code for the SOBER theme, so I can edit it my way, do you sell it?

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in our Sober theme. Please contact our team directly through the contact form on our profile page.

https://themeforest.net/user/uixthemes#contact

Hello,

I am using the Sober theme along with WooCommerce for a textile product catalog site (without e-commerce functionality). I’ve created variable products with color attributes using the standard WooCommerce variation system.

However, I’m experiencing a critical issue: On real mobile devices, variation swatches (attribute selectors) do not appear at all.

They work perfectly on desktop and also in Chrome developer tools (mobile view simulation). But on actual smartphones, the swatch buttons are completely missing.

What I have tried: - Verified that the .variations_form is present in the DOM on desktop - On mobile, the .variations_form element is not rendered at all - Confirmed there is no wp_is_mobile() condition in my variable.php file - Manually created woocommerce/single-product.php to ensure product templates are loading correctly - Checked with document.querySelector(’.variations_form’) on mobile – returns null - Cleared LiteSpeed Cache and tested with all cache disabled - Confirmed the product variations and attributes are properly defined - Used custom JS to re-trigger wc_variation_form manually – still no effect

Additional Info: - I’ve attached screenshots showing: – Desktop view with variation swatches visible ✅ – Real mobile view with swatches missing ❌ – Console output where .variations_form is not found in mobile DOM

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. Please open a ticket on the support site and share your website address with a temporary admin account. Our developer will help you review and solve this issue.

https://uix.ticksy.com/

I but with Envato Elements so I dont have Puchase code and cant send ticket your site.

Hello,

Unfortunately, items from Elements do not come with a support. If you want support (and maybe even more importantly, future updates) you will have to buy a separate license from ThemeForest.

With the issue on your website, you should try deactivating plugins to determine if there are any conflicts.

Thank you

Hi, My theme (Sober) contains a outdated copy of the template file “sober/woocommerce/loop/add-to-cart.php”. The version 3.3.0 is out of date. How do I update to the core version is 9.2.0?

Many thanks in advance!

After checking our codebase, we can confirm that Sober theme doesn’t modify this template. This warning typically appears when the template has been copied into your theme folder but hasn’t been updated to match WooCommerce’s current version.

This was likely done by a developer who customized your site. Please contact them to update this template to the latest version.

If you haven’t intentionally modified this template, you can:

- Delete the file at “wp-content/themes/sober/woocommerce/loop/add-to-cart.php”

- Or reinstall the Sober theme (backup your site first)

Either solution should resolve the warning message.

It worked! I just deleted the file. Thank you so much for solving this!

Thanks for your feedback! If you have any other questions about the Sober theme, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Hi,

I’ve updated the theme to version 3.5.12, but Slider Revolution did not update and is still showing the old version. When I go to Plugins, I see this message:

“There is a new version (6.7.39) of Slider Revolution available. To update directly register your license key now or purchase a new license key to access all premium features.”

Could you please let me know If I am doing something wrong?

Hi,

We’ve just uploaded the latest version of Slider Revolution to the theme package.

To get the update, please delete the plugin from your Plugins page, then go to Appearance > Install Plugins and reinstall it. This will give you version 6.7.39.

Thank you
