Hi friends, I’ve just downloaded the theme and import the demo content but i cant find the demo content for slider… In ’’Demo Content > Photography’’ file there is only a jpg file that explain settings of visual composer settings…

Photography demo is based on slider built into The7 core. It will be imported and set on the page automatically. You do not need to import additional sliders.

You can either dismiss these messages, or hide them via Theme Options > Advanced > Advanced settings. The setting is called “silence plugins notifications”.
The DT-Photos widget is not working. Thumbnails aren’t loading / the lightbox image does show up when you click the link. Is this an error in the theme? i haven’t changed any setting s in the theme in regards to the widgets. please help? I am using The7 v 4.2.2 on the latest WordPress install. I have load the Cafe microsite dummy content, set the page template to Microsite and selected Home as the static page of choice in the Reading settings but all that displays on the live page is the Page Header Options as set within the page editor. If I change the Header settings to Slideshow, for example and save the page, the slideshow appears on the refreshed live page. If I change to Fancy Title, this is displayed. None of the dummy content on the page appears on the live page.
I have looked at all settings on page and in Theme Options but cannot see what it wrong.
Please advise.

new to word press and just started using the 7 theme / imported the marketing agency demo site … is there any documentation about either this theme or the demo site? having an issue adding content to the “case study” and “portfolio” pages; they do not seem to be created as posts so i really am not sure how they were created.

This is a pre-sale question.
I am considering your theme for my blog (which at present on free WP wordpress.com platform) > I saw your demos, but the didn’t like blog section.
I want to display my posts in grid manner but with a twist. For example, latest post at the top spreading over 2 columns, below that next two posts side by side (one column each) , then forth post below it 2 columns wide, then next 2 posts side by side , one column each, so it will look like 1 , 2,3, 4, 5- 6, 7 , 8-9, 10 and so on.
Next I want to display a single post on a custom background (old handmade paper like).
Is it possible with this theme ? I do have some programming background.

I have to disappoint you: you cannot use any theme from ThemeForest (and other marketplaces) on wordpress.com. You are limited to selection of free and paid themes that wordpress.com offers only.

I think , I was not clear in my question. I am migrating from WordPress.com to WordPress.org, already purchased domain name and hosting plan.
Now I need a theme mainly fr my blog and also to advertise my other services Consultancy and Training. So I need a front page to display my offerings as well as one/ two recent posts snippets from my blog and then visitor can navigate to appropriate section .
I hope now the thing are clearer . Can I do this (including that blog page customization ) with your theme ?

Each blog post has a “double width” setting, Therefore you can decide which post should be double-width to achieve the grid layout you’re looking for.
There’s no custom background option for post/pages at this moment, but it can be easily done via small bits of CSS.
Paste HTML code of your custom pre-loader image in the field below. do you have like sample code? for the preloader?

Can I update plugins to new version without updating of theme?/

If you have dedicated copies of plugins purchased – yes, sure.
Moreover with next The7 update we’ll be releasing plugins updates separately from the theme. Therefore you won’t have to wait for the theme update.
I only afraid of your plugin when they have edited code, Ex: visial composer
I know that this is a standard practice among other authors, but we never edit plugins source code. We keep all the (minimal) plugins customisation in theme itself. Therefore the chance to screw things up with plugin update is very small.

Then you just create another “page” for blog; choose one of “blog” page templates or shortcodes for it; set it as a blog page in “settings-reading”; and add this page to your site menu.

One recommendation though. You have a smooth scroll feature enabled in Ultimate addons. This causes unpredictable page scrolling behaviour on some mouses, touchpads and trackpads of most MacBooks. I’d suggest you to turn off this feature.
Hello I am taking over a website from another designer who installed The7 v.2.3.3 by Theme Evolution. I am guessing this is an older version and i am looking to update / buy your latest version of the theme.
If I do buy the current version can I upgrade without loosing any settings / data or will I have to start adjust all the settings again for the theme?
Also I noticed visual composer doesn’t give me the option to set full page fluid rows in this current version will I be able to do this in your latest version using the row stretch option in VC as i have done in the past?
To upgrade in the Wordpress back end it asks me for a theme forest username and secret API Key if i purchase will i receive this info so i can enter the details to upgrade?

The7 v.2.3.3 by Theme Evolution is obviously is a pirated version. And by using it you violate our copyright. Which is a serious criminal offence..
You may not knew it at the time of theme installation, though. As a 7 years+ Envato user with over 100 purchases, I’m sure you’ll get this sorted out as soon as possible. And no further actions will be needed.

Issues with purchase code: I have to register plugins requiring thenme purchase code but it seems not to work. Item is regularly bought on 2014, used one time, uninstalled (former website is gone on early 2015 and then no more used until today for anew project). I need some advices to make purchase code valid again in plugin registration. thank you in advance.

Theme purchase code is not valid to activate bundled plugins.
You can use all plugins that comes bundled with The7 theme without entering purchase codes or activating them. However if you want a bit faster plugins updates, some locked features, exclusive content, dedicated support or just want to support their authors – you are more then welcome to purchase dedicated licenses.

Understand. BUT: bundled plugins ask me for activation in any case. so? I bought Your theme, bundled plugins come with it. What should I do if they ask for activation? may I simply ignore?

Yes. Moreover you can disable activation messages via Theme Options > Advanced > Advanced Settings. Enable the “Silence plugins activation notifications” checkbox.

The wording here is a bit confusing: words “activate” and “register” were confused.
You need to install and activate plugins via Plugins > The7 plugins interface. You literally click the “install” link and then the “activate” link in the same interface. But plugins registration does not required.
