Hi I think Fox may be a good option for me but want to make sure of the below first…
1. I need a theme with flexible header options in order to achieve the following… primary menu options on the same row as the logo for a compact approach 2. secondary menu right below the main menu 3. the ability to put in buttons or other elements within the menu row
end result of the above 3 is to create a header similar to the one you see here: http://stocktwits.com/home
4. In addition I’d like to hide this menu header from the homepage and go with a more modern design for the homepage with a main image and overlaying text and buttons for registration.
5. this is the hardest one I’m having an issue with… I need a theme that handles blog layout under the assumption that there will hardly ever be a featured image for each post. Infact, probably never. The problem I’m running into is all the modern designs like yours assumes the blogs are image heavy.
Those are my requirements and it looks like the Fox could be a good option if it can handle the above easily. If it doesn’t – can you recommend an alternative theme your company makes perhaps?

1. We check the website you linked but unfortunately it isn’t possible to create a similar header without modification of the theme.
4. With Thefox you can hide the header if needed so this would be possible.
5. The blog doesn’t need featured image to works but some of the recent blog module looks better if you use one, for the normal blog module ( all the blog page you can see under the blog menu ) works great without featured image.
The problem is the 1 point, most of the theme selling on themeforest got template layout for the header, an advanced layout like the one you want maybe hard to find but there are a lot of theme selling on this marketplace so you may find one if you search.
The other option is to buy the theme and pay for some customization.
If you switch themes you will probably need to make some modifications to your pages, it depends what kind of pages you have but yes I think you will have to modify the pages using the pagebuilder.

Oh that’s a shame, that was one of the main reasons for me getting a new website.
It would be great if the portfolio boxes had a video icon that opened it up in the lightbox for playback. Basically like the photographs but with video.
If this was possible, I’d definitely purchase the theme!
We got a big update coming this week, if our developer got time we will also include this feature for the video.

At the moment, does it support portfolio video items but doesn’t run through lightbox?
I mean using the packery layout or title box layout.
For the moment you can use video but it will show as a featured image on the portfolio page, but on the single item you are be able to see the video check this link Video project

The option to show the page boxed is really great, but it does not make sense to box the mobile page as well. How to disable this?

On mobile you shouldn’t be able to see the boxed version, it should be full width, can you tell us on which phone do you see this happen?

And i realize the theme don’t have any for member register button, display member’s name or login/log out button as normal online shop website will do on top. Is it have any way to make it?

If needed you can select to make the Sign in / Join now button to appear in the top bar, just need to select it from the option panel ( Screenshot )
We have also have a page for member to register ( link )
So you shouldn’t have any problem creating an e-commerce
We would also be happy to hear feedback from a customer trying to create an e-commerce site so our team could make improvements to our theme!

Just curious about something. This theme looks excellent. But since it seems you use a modified version of Visual Composer, is it compatible with Visual Composer add-ons such as Ultimate? Will they still show up in your custom interface?
Also, do you happen to have an option for transparency on the header? Or does your option panel support RGBA so I can do it myself? I know you can do that with custom CSS, but just curious if you have a transparency setting out of the box.

All add-ons should appear normally in the Visual page builder, we just changed the “design” part so the add-ons should work just fine, for example we have included the 4k icons add-on and it works fine
About the transparency option for the header ( transparent header ) we are talking about including it in the next update which should be this week.
In the meanwhile you can still use custom css to make it looks like you want and if needed our support team will be happy to help you.

I do have ONE more question as it relates to performance. Do you have any demos set up anywhere that don’t have things like Woocommerce and other plugins installed? Just trying to get an idea of performance when it is just the theme and not having to load the files in for Woocommerce, BBPress, etc.

The demo doesn’t install the WooCommerce part if you don’t have the plugin installed when importing the demo so no need to worry about this
About performance, it depends what do you mean by performance but the theme should be working fast and without any problem, you can check our demo homepage speed result here.

Thanks! I realize it doesn’t install the WooCommerce stuff if I don’t have it installed. I just didn’t know if you had a demo available that didn’t load that stuff, or other plugins like BBPress or Buddypress. Theme demos are hard to test sometimes because they are obviously trying to show EVERYTHING, including functionality the user may never need all on a single site.
So it is always good to be able to see how just the core theme performs.

Hey Tam – really great theme – I did measure the speed on gtmetrix, seems slow – especially with the fox logo and circle on the slider as it loads , can you speed it up or ??? . Themes need to be very fast – I am ready to buy at least two, just need to see an A on gtmetrix.

We are glad you like our theme!
For the demo we are using special code for the demo panel and for the different header layout, and we are not using any plugin to boost the score that why we have a bad note.
But using Autoptimize for example will make us have good note but our customers won’t be able to have the same result if they only use our theme and not plugin, so we decide to not “fake” boosting the theme note using plugin or script to make the note go higher.
On our test demo site the score is higher, check here
Also if you want to be sure you can have a better score when using the normal theme and plugins settings you can create a ticket on our support forum we will be happy to discuss with you about this

Thanks for your very quick reply – actually I would rather, and I am sure most buyers would rather see how fast your theme can go so I would not consider “faking” the performance, either recommend or include the plugin autoptimize – I use it on everything as most experienced developers do – but it would show that with the plugin your theme is capable of a GTmetrix “A” score – currently we don’t know – you should always show how fast your theme can be – marketing 101, and its not cheating. It also shows you know what you re doing, and most importantly your theme is compatible with autoptimize. I use Zencache which far faster that total or the others along with autoptimize, they work extremely well together. just include or recommend the hottest setup, so buyers know.

Hi Jim, I discussed with our development team and he seems that enabling autoptimize will break the demo in IE9 because of the IE css limit.
Some of the popular theme are doing it anyway and their demo don’t work on IE9 ( of course we wont say the name here ).
If only seeing a A grade for our demo is the thing you need to buy the theme then we may not have you for our customers until we abandon IE9 but if you want us to show you other test site using the same content getting a A it’s possible.
Also you can check the demo speed here, we got a great load time even with a 10mb homepage.
