Hi Kalium theme team,
I have been really enjoying exploring Kalium.
I have couple troubles when trying to edit the header in the Portfolio post. As you can see on the homepage there is a black header cover the navigation and logo (http://cviad.enotion.net/) however, I tried to add Layer Slider on each portfolio post, it does not appear on top like pages (http://cviad.enotion.net/index.php/portfolio/accioninternational/). What should I do differently?

Beautiful work! Having a very small issue – not sure what is happening!
Using “Architecture” demo content and editing from there.
LOGO: have replaced both “archdark.png”and “logo-arch.png” BUT when viewing home page, which rests on “revolution slider,” the “logo-arch.png” keeps showing the one from the demo (which actually says ”//arch”)
I have definitely deleted and replaced the file, also checked the content image uploads to be sure original is not there, but still unable to get rid of it.
Yes, dumped cache, it is some other unusual thing but no idea what it is!!

The problem is that in the very first version of the theme it was included somewhere in the slider files and it will always be there if we don’t remove the code, you can send us your login credentials via e-mail to remove it manually.

Hi, We are using Kalium theme for a client, but we have come across a problem we cannot sort out.
Check out this page: http://moovia.webfactoo.co.uk/test/Our content is inside accordion, but it does not load. However, if you open the first accordion section and then reload the page, the content displays correctly.
Does it have to do with the hash navigation? Note that the content is built using the colio plugin, so maybe the shortcodes do not run correctly inside accordion.

Hi,
I am currently working on editing the theme for a client (he bought and installed it). I have a problem though.
On the default theme, the logo and menu change colour depending upon the slides, but since changing the theme default colour to a custom one, it no longer changes and just remains the chosen colour.
I figured out how to change the logo using the rev slider css, (changing the default css code you guys had) but I cannot figure out how to change the menu to white whilst on certain slides.
By the way, I am using the default “main menu” theme and have not changed anything except the default theme colour.
Just a quick update to this. I believe I have found the code for swapping “dark” menus with the “light” ones on the Rev slider custom CSS. So, basically what I want to do is swap the “default (my custom colour) with the “Light”.
“var classToAdd = ‘menu-skin-dark’, classToRemove = ‘menu-skin-light’;”
Because, at the moment I can either have it as my chosen colour all the time, or alternate between white and black. But, what I want to do, is have my chosen colour on all pages except the homepage (over the rev slider) I want it to appear white.

Just a small question this time, is there any kind of caching in the theme? As I had made a lot of changes yesterday and they only showed up today, and also I changed the text in the footer and it hasn’t changed, I predict that it will show up tomorrow. It probably explains why when I deactivated the maintenance mode and it still showed and turned off the next day. We’ve downloaded but not activated Super W3 Cache so it shouldn’t have any effect.

You can use any translation plugin such as Loco Translate to translate the theme and widgets.
To translate/rename theme strings, you can do this via Loco Translate plugin. If you don’t have this plugin, please install and activate it in your WordPress site.
1. Then go to Loco Translate > Manage Translations
2. Click “New Language” for the current active theme (if you didn’t created it yet, otherwise ignore this step). On the new language page, choose these options – click here http://d.pr/i/1ewoc
3. After that you will be redirected to the editing screen for theme translations. Before you continue make sure this is true – click here http://d.pr/i/18h0w
4. Follow these instructions to learn how to translate strings – http://d.pr/i/1jsek
5. The changes will be applied immediately – http://d.pr/i/1ju6w
Note: Translation files will be saved to wp-content/themes/{theme-name}/languages folder. Here you have the explanation – http://d.pr/i/1lBCJ
After you make your changes, always save a backup when there is new theme update. After you update the theme (languages folder will be replaced), just move the backup files you previously saved to the same languages directory and your changes will still be applied.

Theme is not working on safari and Firefox on some computers. Please check that javascript error in images bellow. It is causing problems also for other scripts.

Please to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support. Specially Visual Composer, and this problem should disappear.

That is happening because Safari browser for Windows has not released an update from the 2012. Apple stopped Safari updates from that year.
Kalium is build on the latest technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3 among other things, and the latest version of Safari 5.1.7 for Windows that is been released on 2012 doesn’t support CSS3 and HTML5 technologies, that’s why you can’t see our site properly.
Now the Safari has grown up, and it’s latest update is 8.0.8, but it is only for Apple devices.

Same issues we noticed on two different Apple computers and not only Safari, but also Firefox.
Sorry, but I can’t tell to my client that website will not work on her computer, but on most other computers it is working. This needs to be fixed.

Hi, i use the agency demo with the primary font Inconsolata. Works correct, except when i use <Service box> (service content). Here it shows an undefinable font. Any idea about that problem?

I just tested this on our site and it’s appearing correctly as it should.
I continued investigating your site, and i saw that you are using our latest theme, but you haven’t updated Visual Composer plugin.
Please go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support. Specially Visual Composer.
Your problem should be fixed then, just try to create one new Service box

Sorry, I didn’t answer your last questions about bugs. It solved itself by updating the theme. Also, I needed to understand your theme before being fussy. Many things actually easy to fix with coding editor and just understand the features. It’s quite good clean, responsive theme that you have made. You’re guys are awesome!!! But.. I have several issues:
1. Can’t Update: Your theme requires an update! Required version is: 1.6 Your version: 1.5.2
2. Layer Slider Update Layer Slider Pre-Packaged Recommended 5.5.0Installed version: 5.5.1Minimum required version: 5.5.1Available version: Active, Requires Update
When updating it says; The plugin is at the latest version.
3. The url link, categories item and icon element do not show hover (sliding line) like before. I really like this feature. Please have a look at http://www.kalamakara.com to check.
4. At the beginning the website lil bit longer to load. But I fixed it with Leverage Browser Caching, compressing image etc with .htaccess (https://varvy.com/pagespeed/). Not sure if this SEO optimization affect the theme. But, so far so good unless 3 things above.

We appreciate this so much 
1— Actually version 1.6 of Kalium is on Alpha stage, it will be released next week 
When the update it’s ready you will receive an email if you have enabled “Get notified by email if this item is updated” from your Downloads tab.
2— We have fixed this little problem, actually plugin is on the latest version but the script thinks that a new update is active, just ignore that. We have fixed this and on the next update this problem will disappear.
3— We are aware of this issue, it is happening only on the latest version of Google Chrome, if you try Firefox or Safari it will work as it should.
This is happening because Chrome has made some huge changes on it’s backend. But don’t worry we have fixed this problem too, and with the next update that will be fixed 
4— We don’t think that this make any problem to our theme

I am working on my website for the second time after I deleted the first one. The first time I had no issues with the theme. This time around I am dealing with issues that I didn’t deal with the first time around, and I am becoming increasingly frustrated.
1. Before I didn’t have to change the size of the images for the thumbnails so they would match in size. Now I have to change all the proportions. The theme did this for me automatically before.
2. I am putting custom logo and changed the menu in each page to black with the exception of the home page where the menu is white. I changed it like I have always done in the Logo and Menu section of every page. It seems like something is overwriting the command because even if I pick black it still shows white.
3. The blog featured image was not working. You already helped me fix this with a CSS code but this was something I didn’t deal with the first time.
I should have been done with this website a week ago and I have to keep dealing with this little annoyances. I love the theme and I have recommended it to many of my friends. These are very minor things, but prevent me from finishing the website.

I’m not giving you the login details for my site – you can test on your own servers by using any Github Gist. Does the last update solve this issue?

In our theme we escape the “scripts” so thats why it is not shown.
I suggest you to show your gists via Shortcodes:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/gist-github-shortcode/It will do the same thing and its easier + more secure as you don’t need to modify the theme files.
I’m afraid that short code plugin doesn’t work – I run a dev site so inlining code is essential, how do I get a refund? I’ll need to use another theme.

If you look at the bottom left of this site: http://evakittelsen.com/ you will see an example. The look out of proportion to the other letters.
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? It is veruy important that my name is spelled correctly. Thank you so much!

Have you tried setting another font for your site, as I see the font “Karla” which we use in our demo page does not support the Scandinavian characters.
Try another font with a lot of varieties and see if it works, you can check the fonts you want to use here http://www.google.com/fonts

Two things…
1. The page loader (spinning loader) appears on my main portfolio page of thumbnails, but does not appear on any individual pages. Is there any way to turn this on? (Note: I am currently using Endless scroll + Auto Reveal)
2. In the chrome browser, I am getting strange glitching on my portfolio thumbnails when I scroll. (Note: I tested in Safari and it works properly)

Here is a link to the page that is giving me issues.
http://work.jsoat.us/?page_id=3576Again, in chrome there are constant glitches on the thumbnail images images. Also, the dynamic underline doesn’t seem to work anymore in Chrome.
In Safari, the hover states seem to ‘pop’ on half the time rather than gradually transition on.
Overall, the latest updates seem to have made the ‘Slide & Fade’ transitions much more buggy than when I first downloaded the template.
Lastly, I am unable to update to Kalium 1.6 using Envato Toolkit. When I’ve updated in the past I have a link under settings in Envato Toolkit that ask me to update. This link is not visible for me currently.

Hi John,
Recently Google Chrome has released an update (version 45.0.x), and this version has messed our underline animation. We have managed to recode that and it will be fixed on the version 1.6 of Kalium.
Also as for the Slide & Fade transitions, we will check that too and try to do something for the next update 
Sorry for inconvenience, but the version 1.6 of Kalium is on it’s Alpha stage, we are still making some changes, fixing bugs and adding some new features until it’s ready for the release.
