The theme registration system uses wordpress default functionality. To add a password field you have to make modifications on the code which are not easy to make. Sorry for the delay, we didn’t work yesterday because it was a national holiday in our country. Unfortunately we didn’t do any tests with True mag so i don’t know where their video data is saved. In Newspaper the video url is saved in the post meta – http://screencast.com/t/SeoJ0CiFP07 To make it output the url from your other theme you have to talk with it’s developer to find out where it’s saved and modify the theme function to check for that field and if it’s not empty to display it. This is not an easy task and if you don’t have programming experience i suggest that you look for a professional developer to help you modify this section. The alternative would be to manually copy each url from the old theme field into Newspaper featured video field, set the format to video and hit the update button – http://screencast.com/t/KFWG3c5WLd

Hi,

Before you update make sure you backup your database and the site files.

The menu icons were removed and that’s why the [MENU_HOME] tags appear in the menu. To fix this edit the menu and change the name of those menu items. If you want to add an icon like it was before you can doit by using the Font Awesome 4 Menus plugin – http://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-add-icons-in-menu/

Also try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer and see if the issue is still there.

Hi,

Please check if the images displayed on the page are compressed. If they’re not the page may get extremely large and hard to load especially on mobile devices. You can check this with google pagespeed tool – https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

Yes. that’s because each grid has a padding added to its bottom, you can remove it though using custom css applied to just that specific page on which you wish to have this appearance, like this: http://screencast.com/t/br5RLowH

Use the custom css code I’ve pasted below and adjust it for your page by changing the page id:

Yes, unfortunately when you update all the theme files will be overwritten, so you will have to re-add them. You can use the child theme for these modification, please check this guide to see what files can be modified via child theme – http://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ If you want to install the child theme you can find it in /code folder from files that you download from themeforest – http://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

Unfortunately you can’t without setting up a child theme because all update methods overwrite or replace the old version of theme’s files: http://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

I suggest you note all your custom modifications made to theme’s files then update the theme and re-make all customizations.

Note that the update affects just the customizations made to theme’s files not those made trough wp’s admin or theme’s panel. Those are stored in your database and theme’s update doesn’t affect those.

Either way e advise you to do a full backup of your current theme/WordPress/database before update: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

So you would need to show the main category name of the post instead of post’s title. The theme doesn’t have any feature/option which could help you on this so you would have to modify theme’s module/article title function and create a condition to display the category in those cases in which you would need this customization.

This implementation would require customizations services so if you don’t have wp coding experience to manage this on your own you would have to address this to a freelancer to help you change it because we cannot provide customization services at the moment. Sorry!

I understand, unfortunately we haven’t made any tests with the wp-days-ago plugin so I’m not aware of its functionality or its usage.

Theme’s modules are customized templates and use different methods of implementation than post templates so I’m guessing you would need a different approach to customize it for theme’s modules.

I advise you to address this to plugin’s authors, they are aware of plugin’s coding and it’s functionality and can provide a more accurate answer on this.

1. Theme’s custom post types weren’t designed and tested for rss feeds. You have to integrate them to your main wp rss feed. For that try the solutions from wpbeginner.com I’ve paste below two links which could help you on this:

I’ve also added this on our todo list so we will approach this when we will improve theme’s custom post types functionality.

2. The ‘video’ page needs to be a default wp category to appear in breadcrumbs as theme’s breadcrumbs have not been adapted for custom post types and taxonomies, you would have to alter theme’s breadcrumbs functions to add your custom taxonomies to theme’s breadcrumbs.

3. You would have to change theme’s author function: http://screencast.com/t/fYnGnVkp09P and add a condition there to use another author page/URL if your custom post type is used. This requires customizations services so if you can’t manage this on your own please address this to a freelancer to help you change it because we cannot provide customization services at the moment.

4. Add your post type to this ‘types’ array: http://screencast.com/t/nq2NaV4shQ Please note that this will add the video and post settings meta-boxes to your custom post types but this doesn’t also ensures the right functionality of those features on your custom post types so you would require additional customizations to make the default wp post type features work on your cpt also.

Unfortunately, the theme doesn’t have any guest blogging options nor functionality integrated and we also haven’t tested any plugins that could offer you that functionality so I can’t recommend you one. Eventually to have this feature integrated to the theme you need a specific plugin or customizations to the theme to support it, unfortunately we are not available for any type of customization services as we work hard on development fixes and support and the remaining time doesn’t allow us.
