If you need multiple user roles to lockdown access to certain parts of your site I recommend you to use the “Paid Membership Pro” plugin for creating membership levels.
For front end blog posting you can use “Social Articles” plugin or anything similar.

when i use the login page its not redirecting me to the dashboard. i’ve tried everything, even a plugin to help with login/logout redirects. i’m using this shortcode – [sq_login_form before_input=”“]

You should be able to use EventOn plugin without any issues, I’ll add it our test list for the near future to be sure everything works fine with it.
Our theme uses the “magnificPopup” lightbox script and also has an isotope library built in. If you are interested in using this scripts directly then please note that you’ll need advanced programming knowledge.
For post and comments rankings and votes I recommend you to find an additional plugin with such feature.
You could have two wp installs with different themes, but if you need to interconnect them then it should be a little bit more complex and as you say, complicated.

In BuddyApp there isn’t a full-profile header style, at least not for the moment because we’ll continue improving our theme and add more options in future updates.

All the ones that you listed are third party plugins which were used to add the functionalities presented in our theme. You can activate only the ones that you really need and use and deactivate the other ones.
WooCommerce is fully supported, some nice demos will be added in the future as well.

How/where do users create tasks for the task list? That wasn’t entirely clear in the demo and there wasn’t a “add new” option on the task list itself.

Pre-Sale question. This theme looks great, I have a question on something, though. Replies to replies on the Activity Page and Blog articles keep getting pushed to the right so that they are almost running off the right side of the screen. Is this a bug or is there a plan to make that adjustment. Kleo doesn’t appear to have that problem. Thank you!

Hi, I am trying to create a site where my personal customers can login and have forums and notes that I post regarding their specific accounts. Therefore non of the other users will be able to view it as information is private. Can that be done with this theme or is this community based and can’t have a Unique Forum, Events, and Media data for every Unique customer that signs in?

The theme carries the Events Manager Pro plugin? it is configured to have the same style as the theme ? and users who attend the event will be visible to other users as a list of attendees? The theme works with the free version of “Events Manager”, but I’m sure it can handle the Pro version as well if you have it. The whole events side is customised to match our theme layout.
The Events plugin is nicely integrated with BuddyPress and member profiles, creating a page listing member events, and events attended.
WooCommerce is fully supported but if the Events Manager plugin doesn’t support checkouts trough WooCommerce then you can’t sell tickets trough it ( unless you add your tickets as WooCommerce products, and in the event description you could provide a link to the product for the customer to buy ).

I’m still contending between Buddy and this BuddyApp to create a simple app that acts as a repository of stories of GOD’S GOODNESS in that it has the functionalities for someone to search and share stories while creating social networking opportunities as displayed in the demo. Any thoughts? Also, can I disable the login function as found here: (http://buddywp.wpengine.com/) and still make it possible for people to create profiles if/where necessary? This way they can search for others stories without logging in. Thanks!

Please check any additional plugins that you might have installed lately, because only an conflict with a plugin might make the Theme Options panel to not be visible. Try to deactivate your plugins one by one until you find the one which produces the issue.

For user payments during registration you will most probably need to find a plugin that suits your needs, one like “Paid Membership Pro” or “s2Member”.
Using those plugins you would be able to lock down access to post or pages or other sections from the website based on membership level.
