Hi there!
I think I am having a similar problem to others but I haven’t really found a way to fix it so, I’m going to give in and just ask.
On the homepage slideshow I cannot get all the images to work. I can get the first one and then any image after that won’t load. When I use the 3D Flash Slideshow it works but, I’d like to steer clear of Flash because of iPad and iPhone usage.

Me again… I had my slides working. I figured out that I was trying to place too large of images as “featured images”. Once I shrunk down the images my slides worked great.
However, I’m back to not working again. I’ve tried shrinking down slides but no luck. I can’t get any of my images to work. I can get captions and side bars to appear but no images. 
Please help!

You didn’t set a correct source for slidershow.
You can go to ‘striking’->‘homepage’ option page to reset it.

It mean you didn’t give a right permission for strking/includes/timthumb.php file.

I still have not gotten a response to my problem. Even if you can’t fix it yourself, I at least need to know what the problem is as it looks like I’ve done everything right, and I’ve tested it on two WP installations now.

Just change your permissions of ‘wp-content/themes/striking’ folder to 755, Then striking theme appears on the wordpress admin.

The striking theme is a brilliant theme. Everything has been going well, except for the subnavigation which does not appear in IE when you hover over the top navigation menu. It works perfectly in Chrome, FF, Safari and Opera. I’m using a Cufon font, but it’s the same when using plain text font. The temporary site is at http://foodbank.digital-tsunami.com/. I think WP-Backgrounds Plugin you used caused the issue.
You may try add the css code below to striking->general option page to see if it solved the problem.

Thank you KaptinLin. The issue is not with any of the plugins installed. I deactivated all plugins and the issue still persisted with or without your z-idex suggestion.
I figured out the problem. In my custom CSS code, I had included the following: #header, #feature, #page, #footer { opacity: 0.85; filter: alpha(opacity=85); }
The jquery menu code clearly does not like the CSS opacity code. As soon as I commented out the above CSS , the menu worked fine in IE. I will have to use semi-transparent png backgrounds instead, which is the better way anyway.

I have very limited Wordpress experience (though I’ve been involved in things IT for 30 years or more). I’m very impressed with the Striking theme; in fact I’m struggling to think of what is missing!
I am a little apprehensive as to how easy it is to be familiar with all the options available – given that there are so many. I guess this is down to the quality of the documentation (which clearly I cannot see until I purchase the theme).
Does anybody have any comments / words of warning or encouragement?

Striking is easy to use that it have a detailed document. A lot wordpress novice can use striking to build a beautiful site quickly.
And if you have any question about using striking, just ask it on my support forum, it can be answered as quickly as possible.

i am having issues using the video short code on the theme. whenever i try to play the video it always says an error occured on the youtube player and there is always an error with the other players aswel.
