I’m thinking about using the single page scroll layout of this theme. However, I do need there to be a few pages beyond the home page (such as blog posts and events). When a user clicks beyond the single page, is it possible to return them to a specific section of the home, single scrolling page?
In this example, when the user goes to the “book and event” page (via the global navigation) and then clicks on “menu”, it returns them to the right section of the home page:

When using other static pages make sure you’re setting the anchor links with the full URL such as http://domain.com/#anchor rather than just #anchor. You’ll also need to active the option in the page transitions tab of the Salient options panel to “Disable Fade Out On Click”

Oh sorry. http://www.joshua-butler.com/test/. I’ve had this issue when I was trying to upgrade, but this is a site completely being rebuilt. If I center the logo, it has a small element of bottom to it. Thanks!

no, I’m not sure I want a menu up there. Though, it does the same thing with a menu. I can put one in there to test.
Here’s a temp fix – add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

any plans to enable images in a mega menu? Also, my columns are currently left justified.. is there any way to have the submenu buttons (i’m using four columns) centered in the megamenu?

Hello,
I have tried to adjust the height of the home slider via the provided theme options and custom css. i see that it states the minimum safe height is 400, though any adjustment I make seems to have no affect on the height i`m just trying to shave about an inch off of the browser view so you can immediately see the content beneath 
any ideas?never mind! I have sorted it out my bad!

hi please can you help me for some reason i have just made my clients website live but i have gone into the page to edit something and i cant seem to use the visual composer functions! none of the content is there although there is content viewable on the front end!?

Are you on the latest Salient (7.0.8)? The only version of Salient that is compatible with the latest WP is Salient 7.0.8, and the only version of Salient Visual Composer that is compatible with WP 4.5 is 4.11.2. If you’re using older versions of these and have updated to WP 4.5, your visual composer will not work.
Once you’ve updated Salient, head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update Visual Composer. If you’re having issues after using both the current versions, check for third party plugin issues – WP 4.5 added a new version of jQuery and a lot of plugins broke because of it.

Hey, you can do so in the Salient options panel > header navigation tab. There’s a upload fields for the logo, since you’re using the transparency header make sure to also supply the logo in the transparency tab

Hey Nectar, My companies theme that I am currently using is ( Themeco X), which I know now is a mistake. Your theme simply just makes more sense and I understand it far more intuitively. Unfortunately I created a good amount of content on this site and I just re designed 3 months ago it I am not sure whether I should delete the entire site and what that would do to all the links or try to change the theme and then change the content.
I do want to note that I want to delete most of the copy for the main pages as I did an extremely poor job Optimizing the site for SEO, which I am a lot more educated in now but wasn’t then. What to you would be the best choice in this scenario and why?

Did you you visual composer when building with X? If so if you just changed the theme you’d likely at least salvage some of the structure on your site. However if you didn’t use VC and also are planning on deleting a lot of it you might as well just start over since they custom page builder won’t align nicely with the Salient VC

You’d need to change the active color state on your main nav by selecting “custom” for the color scheme on your header nav in the Salient options panel > header navigation tab

Hey there, we are stuck on the About Page of this site: http://www.freedomfromthemachine.org/home/about/ If we remove the PAGE HEADER we are lift with a strip of white background that remains even when we don’t want the Header to be in place and rather use Page Level Controls. When you remove the page header make sure you also unassign the page header BG color as well

How do I remove the colour on the BG header? I found I couldn’t put “nothing” there.
Select the color picker and delete any value that might be in there, if there’s nothing in there and you’re still having this issue please open a ticket in regards themenectar.ticksy.com/

Was wondering if there is a method when using the one page layout to still be able to link to external pages? For example, if there is a portfolio embedded into the one page site and you want to be able to do more than just lightbox a single image. Ideally, I’d like to still link to individual portfolio pages, which I’ve done, but then the primary nav on those pages aren’t working as I’ve selected ‘one page’ in the Salient options.

Nothing pops up in my nav on mobile. I checked the boxes to activate the off-canvas menu, and also checked the box to populate my nav into the off-canvas menu when on mobile, and nothing shows up. Instead, I just get “Add to sidebar widget”
