I’ve been able to upload a jpg logo to our website. I tried to upload a png logo, when I do, nothing happens. Will the template accept a png file or only jpg?

Hi Andon, do you plan a new, fresh Theme which is running with the full functionality of Woocommerce?

We are using uDesign since near 5 years (and it was really the BEST for a long time!) but now we have to respect the market and must integrate eCommerce functionalty.

Good news for you, the U-Design theme already offers support for WooCommerce, and it has for at least 3yrs now. I’ve even setup a WooCommerce demo site with U-Design which you can see here: http://idesignmywebsite.com/u-design-shop/

I need some asstance please, my friend purchased this theme for me and i have my licence code and everything.  but i need to ask some questions.  but because i did not buy it on my envato account your system blocks me.  could you please assist with the following.

How can i activate the revolution slider it is prepacked on this theme?

For the Revolution slider please refer to the theme’s documentation, there’s a whole section in there that talks about how to install the slider. As far as the Import Demo Content you can only get it through the support forum here: http://dreamthemedesign.com/u-design-support/discussion/22852/optional-demo-content

You can either have your friend log into the forum if they have a legitimate license of the theme or have them contact me so I can verify their purchase. They can send me an email through my Profile page.

I am running your newest version of your theme and Woocommerce thats it. The product page shows a huge feature image, though I have tried to resize it still shows very big.

Also. I have tried to show the sidebar on the left and it continues to show it on the right. Please help.

make sure to have the “U-Design WooCommerce Integration” plugin installed and activated, you should have been prompted to install it as one of the related plugins that comes with the theme. If you don’t have that plugin installed you should be able to do so from the theme’s submenu called “Related Plugins”. For further support queries please let’s move this conversation to the designated area for that which is the theme’s support forum, where I have support specialist on watch all the time. Have been trying to get support now for 2 weeks. Each time I follow links to “SUPPORT”, I jump through hoops with the “Authorize U-Design Support Forum to connect with your account?” page, then wind up on the support page with the banner “Your account is “View Only” because you have never signed in with Envato to confirm your support status. To update your support status please sign in with this link. For more information read this post.” Clicking the link merely gets me in a loop. Can you advise anyway to get support?

after trying to update my website got completely crushed website! Stylesheet is missing. Theme is broke. Any idea???!!!

Whenever you see that missing style sheet message it means you’re attempting to install the wrong file and WordPress doesn’t recognize it as a theme file.

But it sounds like you’re going the manual way, in which case you were supposed to unzip the initial zip file you downloaded from ThemeForest onto your hard drive and then inside you would find Documentation and another zip file called ‘u-design.zip’ which is the actual theme. Please refer to the Documentation for installation instructions.

If you end up doing the FTP method to install the theme then make sure the directory path to the theme files look like this:
wp-content/themes/u-design/

I just updated the U-design theme today and as soon as I updated the plugins I get this error message and now my sight is down.

I believe Envato does offer it, so when you purchase a theme you will see an offer to hire an Envato Studio freelancer to install the theme for you, but like I said its better if you learned how to do it.

I am a print designer attempting my first site via WordPress. I purchased Udesign yesterday based on product description (“a powerful and user friendly theme. It could be used by people with no programming experience as well as advanced developers”). I expected to be able to jump right in; but after install I’m finding I don’t know where to begin. Can I email a PDF of my design and could you advise where to begin?

You were supposed to unzip the initial zip file you downloaded after purchase onto your hard drive and then inside you would find Documentation folder, go into that folder and open the “index.html” file. You will also find ‘u-design.zip’ file in there as well which is the actual theme.

Keep in mind that this is a WordPress theme so some basic knowledge of WordPress is expected from you. If you’ve never used WordPress before it’s probably best to get started with some basic stuff on WordPress, there are tons of free tutorials online for that. Are you guys WooCommerce 2.6 compatible yet?

Yes, we are. Although WooCommerce 2.6 seams to be very buggy, just in the first few hours after release there were over 200 reported issues on the WooComm forums, so I think they are still working through those, they already released 2.6.1 and I believe 2.6.2 will be out soon with more bug fixes, so sometimes it’s best to wait out a few days until they iron out all bugs after a major release.

Fresh install of wordpress and fresh install of newest version of u-design and all recommended theme plugins installed but the right sidebar content (1/3) is being pushed under (2/3) content.

Otherwise, a couple of quick things you could try is make sure your U-Design theme is updated to the latest release which is v2.10.3 and if that doesn’t help then you most likely have a third party plugin causing a conflict of sorts so to rule this out you’ll have to disable all plugins (except the ones required by the theme) and then test it again. If it works then start enabling the plugins one by one and do a test in between until you find the culprit. Don’t forget to clear the caching too if you have any caching plugins installed.

Just Updated theme for a client don’t want to pay for support for something so simple, I know how to use Wordpress. Why are posts not showing up on the blog page? It’s driving me fucking crazy. Page is selected as Posts page in Settings > Reading and Template is set to “blog” in page settings? It worked when I built the site!

It works when I switch to another theme

SOLVED: I left Posts page as -SELECT- in Settings > Reading

Yes, that was it, that’s exactly what you had to do, I have that documented in the theme’s documentation. Glad you sorted it out :)
