Hi there, this is a prepurchase question: I just read that you said in other reply that “Linking each image is not an option when you have them as Gallery (like in V2 demo)”. Still, I can see in your demo v24 that when images are clicked and show up on a Lightbox, the lightbox gives you a sharing option (and I guess it shares that single adress poiting to that single photo). Isn’t that a Gallery? Anyways, my main question was about that lightbox in v24 which I absolutelly love. But I’d like a full screen slider as home, and use that lightbox only for my galleries. Would that be possible? Could I use that kind of gallery? Or even better, could I use that lightbox with other galleries or portfolios? This would be something extremely important to me. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your interest in purchasing the theme. The main difference is that in the V2 Demo Home Page, we have used a Carousel Gallery – oshine.wpengine.com/v2 and the Gallery used in V24 Home Page is a Grid Gallery – oshine.wpengine.com/v24 . While you have option to open the images added in a “Grid Gallery” in lightbox, the images when added as “Carousel Gallery” cannot be opened in Lightbox.
Apart from Grid Gallery, you have Lightbox option in Portfolio grid as well.
And yes, you can set the Home Page to have Full Screen Slider, and set up one of the internal pages as a “grid gallery” which will open the Images in Lightbox.

Thanks a lot for your complete answer! So, if you don’t mind, I’ll tell you exactly what I expect to do, and you tell me if that is possible. I would want a home page & menu like that on v22. That theme only shows portfolios, but I’d rather work with galleries instead that show thumbnails respecting vertical or horizontal, like the one shown on the homepage of v24 (masonry grid gallery?), that open on a Lightbox which also allows to share them individually in social networks. My idea about that full screen homepage is to show there only about 5-6 photos with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Also would like to know if it’s somehow possible to change the behaviour of the images shown fullscreen from “fill” to “fit”, pretty much like in the lightbox. so you never loose the original framing. I see that this is a common issue in photography themes that many designers don’t seem to get that usually photographers don’t like our photos cropped in any ways

1. If you are looking to have the images in the Main Portfolio Page displayed in their original aspect ratio (fit) then you can have the Portfolio Displayed in a carousel like http://oshine.wpengine.com/v22/portfolio/ which is most sought after style by our buyers (who are photographers) primarily because, the aspect ratio is preserved, and the images will not be cropped. Both Landscape and Portrait images will look good in this style of slider.
2. Yes you can have a Carousel portfolio, and in turn have the portfolio item, open up gallery of images. An example would be the “WILDLIFE” portfolio item in the link above. Click on wildlife, and you will be able to see a Grid of images (http://oshine.wpengine.com/v22/portfolio/wildlife/) . You can also have a grid like in V24 in this page which is called the Justified Gallery Grid.

Thanks a lot for your reply, I found it very usefull.
1.My question was more about the home or landing page showing fullscreen pictures in the back but with the fit feature, so where there’s no photo to fill the full screen, black color would show. I havent’s seen this happen in almost any theme, so I suspected it wouldn’t be possible, not a big issue anyways. I’ll try to use pictures that have an aspect ratio similar to most horizontal 16:9 screens.
2. I like how the wildlife portfolio item looks , very elegant, I think it could be a great idea using one of those for each of my galleries, but not sure if that view respects the original aspect of pictures, or only works for horizontal pictures, since all the pictures shown in the wildlife portfolio item happen to be horizontal. Could I mix vertical and horizontal pictures there? Would they show not cropped in that portfolio item?
By the way, I just purchased your team, excited about putting it to work!

Thank you for purchasing the theme and I am glad you like it. If you have a mix of vertical and horizontal images in the Grid gallery, you can enabled the MASONRY option in the gallery module, which will pull the images in their natural height. Alternatively you can use the JUSTIFIED GALLERY module.

While uploading the theme via WordPress, if you are getting an error that reads Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing, kindly do not panic. This does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Please ensure that you upload the correct file which is ‘oshine.zip’.

The Type of Slider used in the link you mentioned in “Horizontal Carousel” slider and we have enabled the Overlay on each of the Images. All the options related to the Slider can be found in the “Portfolio Options” metabox in the respective Portfolio Post.

If you want to set a Clear Color for the Thumbnail opacity, please set the “Overlay Opacity” to a very low value like 1 and the overlay color will not be visible.

The Home Page in V22 is built using the Slider Revolution plugin. The Sample Slider is included in the theme package and the instructions to import the slider sample can be found in this link here – http://www.brandexponents.com/oshine-knowledgebase/knowledge-base/import-demo-content/ . Once you have imported the sample slider, you can change the contents in the slide. The Text is added in the “Static Layer” of the Slider.

There is no item to select the Hero section of the Image when I saved the page. And “HERO SECTION CONTENT SETTINGS” is not react.
I had to disable all plugins. And I have updated the theme. My problem has not been fixed.

1. Yes the option to enable arrows to the slider can be found in Oshine – Gallery Page Template options METABOX -> OTHER SETTINGS TAB -> Enable Slider Navigation Arrows. Note that, this option will be visible only if “Enable Normal/Free Scroll” is unchecked.
2. The information box will pull the content that you add in the Page Builder section of your page.

To link each of Image in the Carousel, you need to create them as a Portfolio Carousel. Linking each image is not an option when you have them as Gallery (like in V2 demo). Hey there, I recently bought the theme, v20, and I really enjoy working with it. I had absolutely no experience with wordpress but every time I try to do something it works pretty good.
I do have one question though: I can’t find no icons, except for the square, round and the diamond… I just read about a standard set of 800(!) icons?
Oh and one more, is there a 500px icon supported in the social icons? Can’t find it :-/

I had to copy the icon module, and change the icon name when I paste the module. Is that the only way to do it?
If you are using the icon in Header/Footer, yes you need to copy it from the page and paste it in the respective Settings panel.

Hi, I was able to select ‘Instagram’ from the source option on the gallery module but then unable to input any further information re: account / log-in to source from the relevant Instagram account. Please advise.

As per the change in norms by Instagram, for the Instagram feed to be pulled in the site, you have to generate an Access Token. You can generate the Access Token at http://instagram.pixelunion.net/ and add the token under OSHINE OPTIONS > GLOBAL SITE LAYOUT AND SETTINGS. This access token will be generated for a specific account from which the feed will be pulled. The Gallery Module, however will have option to enter the number of images that needs to be fetched.

I see that you are using the Master Slider plugin to create the Slider on the Home Page. The option to enable/disable Scrolling option will be available in the Slider’s Settings page.

1. We have used the JUSTIFIED GALLERY grid in the V24 demo. This is added as a module in the Page Builder.
2. You can use the css code below to hide the Share Option in lightbox -

Hi,
Generally when you open a website, all the resources required for the page to load will get loaded from the server and rendered on the page. The delay in loading, is not due to the theme there are several other factors that control the site’s loading speed. I can give you some pointers to improve site performance but at the end of the day your server is the limiting factor.
a. Optimize all your image resources, don't have any images that run into Megabytes and do not use resolutions that are not required for the web. But if your target audience have access to good internet speeds, saving a few kb's in images becomes immaterial. If you have Photoshop, use the "Save for Web" feature to compress your jpegs. You can also use the iResize app for Mac Os to batch resize and compress images.b. Use a caching plugin such as W3C total cache. It will help you cache your pages in the server and will also help you minify css & js resources and will also help you in leveraging browsers cache. I am using this plugin to cache and speed up my demo sites. Kindly setup caching after you have finished developing your site and when you are ready to deploy.c. Use a VPS or dedicated hosting and not a shared hosting plan which is what you are probably in currently. This will result in significant speed increases by reducing server response & processing time. Choose a server location that will be close to your target audience. If your target audience is global use a CDN such as cloud flare or possibly MAX CDN which works well with W3C Total cache plugin. CDN is NOT required if your target audience is restricted to a particular country / state.

Hi hello I love your theme it’s really awesome but im having a small issue , i have uploaded 2 logos one for the light scheme and one for the dark scheme , even when i select the light scheme on the page option and choose the transparent header , the light one is displayed but after a second the dark logo overlays the light one , what am i doing wrong? thanks everything else works awesome

These text strings are hard coded in the BE Page Builder and they have also been localized with the text domain ‘be-themes’ and are ready for translation. Instructions to translate the text strings is available in our documentation here in this link:

You need to translate the THEME as well as BE Page Builder plugin in order to cover all the text strings used that can be translated.

Hi Swami – hope you’re well sir. I’ve got a few questions for you as running into a few issues. The website in questions is www.kingzettgallery.com a) I’m using version 4 (the shop), I’ve added products (artwork) and added categories (artists)... when the categories are displayed as per the demo the images are displaying in a staggered way. b) How do I remove the demo footer info, in the section dealing with the footer info there isn’t anything so can’t see how to remove it! c) Having problems linking the website address to the home page… it automatically goes to blog posts d) Is there an option for not displaying the products / categories as square images, in the theme demo on themeforest it’s more oblong and portrait in orientation. 1. You have added the Product Category Shortcode within the ‘pre’ tag in the page builder. Removing the ‘pre’ tags should fix the issue.
2. The Footer can be modified in the options panel under OSHINE OPTIONS > FOOTER SETTINGS. The footer widgets, i.e the area above the Footer can be modified under APPEARANCES > WIDGETS.
3. To set your home page, navigate to SETTINGS > READING on your dashboard and set the Home page as your Front Page.
4. The size of the Shop Product Thumbnail can be adjusted in the Woocommerce settings under Woocommerce > Products > Display(Tab) > Product Images. As mentioned in there, please regenerate your thumbnails after changing these settings.
By the way, i do not see the Supported Tag beside your account name here. Kindly renew your support pack to avail further theme related support.
