Updates not allowed 7 months after purchase bc I failed to activate support? I didn’t want to waste my time or yours. Now the theme gives errors and can’t be updated without repurchase. That’s terrible.

That is not true and the updates are free for all of our customers as long as we keep developing Avada, whether your support is expired or not you will always be eligible for the theme Updates.
Please make sure you have registered your product to get the automatic update notification, or you can always update using our alternate FTP method as well.

Ammar referring to @dmon7 questions he or she can open a wordpress multi site and have the product installed once but use in numerous sites. Still legal. by so doing he or she can use different demos http://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/multisite/.
alternatively @dmon7 can install her fist demo and then open a new page and import numerous page layouts from various other demos of the Avanda theme.

I think we need to clarify this. About licensing, regardless of whether you have a standard WordPress installation or a WordPress multisite installation, according to Envato’s licensing terms and conditions -> http://bit.ly/2bdBDwp – you need a license per domain install of the theme
Regarding multiple demos, yes, if you want to install multiple demos that will require a WordPress multisite installation, but that will mean multiple domain installs

We are glad to hear that you liked our product, regarding your product licensing, you have to purchase/own a license for each publicly accessible domain install of the theme. Regardless of whether the installation domain is a sub domain or not, if it is publicly accessible, it requires a license.
If you are migrating to a different domain and you already have your product registered with your original purchase code etc, you do not need to purchase a new license; You can simply add your registered purchase information to the new installation’s product registration tab.

Hi there, I bought this theme 6 times already but now I have a new challenge that I would love to use Avada for. However, I’m not sure if it supports what I need.
I need to create a user generated content type website. I saw the forum theme you have, but i couldn’t login to see the user backend. So, my questions are:
1. Is there a login I can use for the forum theme so I can see how an user would submit content? 2. Is there an option to login using Social media such as Facebook? 3. Can an user follow another user? 4. How an user profile would look like. Do you have an example?
If Avada doesn’t support this, could i achieve this using plugins or does it require code?
Please point me in the right direction. If I can achieve that with Avada I’m buying it again for one of my new projects. =)

Yes we do have a login element that you can use actually on any page to register / login / password retrieval of user.

There are no options right now to login via social media, however there are plugins that you can actually use, i have never tried one myself but i found this one online that you can try : http://bit.ly/2fHX1gV
A user profile looks like a default WP user profile.
You can go to WP Dashboard > Users > Profile to check this out.

Hi Ammar, Thank you for the info provided. However, it still not clear regarding the user view. After user logs in, they will see the WP Dashboard > Users > Profile page? I need to know if I can create the page they will see next for example. If there is a template page already. For example the Avada Forum theme. Can I login to that? I depend on this information to buy the theme again. =) thanks so much for your help.

The forum demo you see actually use a 3rd party plugin called buddypress, so you can check the buddyPress profile page if you are looking to have a look at it here : https://buddypress.org/about/profiles/
We have no additional functionality to edit it from our end however if that is what you are asking for.

Search icon in main menu will always come at the very end of menu item, in order to switch it to middle you have to make some custom edits into the theme files actually as its not possible out of the box.

I see the fusion builder has an image carousel but how do I get a gallery with thumbnails that when you click on it, it opens a lightbox. And one where I can add multiple images at once and not select pic per pic as in carousel?

With Avada you can do this by either creating a portfolio -> http://bit.ly/2ebkkys – and this gives you thumbnail and lightbox options on the thumbnail rollover

yes I know how this works, my question was why dont fusion builder come with an option to add MULTIPLE images with one click. Thus, having a gallery element which you insert and an option to ‘add multiple images’ – this is after all a portfolio element so you will need a gallery for your portfolio items, so now I have to add it picture by picture. This takes AGES. And is a pretty stupid way of doing it. this really sucks. Now I will have to use another theme or get a third party plugin, which will hopefully work on the theme??

It actually depends on shortcode, if you are creating a gallery using portfolio you do have to assign each featured image separately due to the way it works. However if you are looking to select all the images at once you have to create a gallery using default WP shortcode.
In order to create a gallery you can switch to the default editor and then click on Add Media > Create Gallery

So, I updated the Avada theme to the latest version and now the layout of the website is broken.
It shows shortcodes on the front end.

That simply means that your shorcode conversion did not run smoothly, we have changed our shortcode syntax due to new fusion builder and a conversion needs to be run automatically after theme update that somehow didn’t run for you or was denied.
However we have a manual conversion trigger that you can find inside Avada > System Status and you can simply run the conversion from there.

Once you run the conversion please make sure that Fusion Core and Fusion builder are updated to their latest version as well.

This is from the plugin itself and you can try to use any 3rd party plugin to hide the notice, i have never personally tried any plugin but found this one by a quick google search.

Hi there. Before I buy another Avada license I am looking to create a site that allows front posting into a custom post type. Im comfortable with the plugins I need for CPT and front end posting but how does one make the right custom fields show up within the design I have created in my CPT in fusion builder? Hi, I want to purchase your theme, it’s fantastic. One doubt please: I want to install it in my main domain for to have my website like a kanding page, and I want also other installation in a subdomain for my store. Hi, then i think in other solution. Can I have more than one demo installation at same time in one wordpress? For example to have in same domain my company demo, a blog demo and the woocommerce demo? Or other like wedding, but more than one demo installed in the same wordpress under same domain.

The way that WordPress and themes work, is a single installation is domain orientated. You can only install one instance of WordPress and a theme at one time, concurrent installations are not possible. This is a software directive.
Likewise, you can only install one demo at a time, it is not possible to have concurrent demos running within one theme installation.

Hello there, Avada 5.0.3 new update, it would be great if you could create knowledgebase and support for the new version.
I’m trying to fix some issues, but I keep getting older informations on your site that would like to see only for the new update.
I’m sure some of those information are still relative, but getting lots of info like “add this custom CSS to ….” and I assume that you added many settings that no longer requires many custom CSS added. well that is what I am hoping for the new update that I can modify padding, sizes, space between items etc without adding too many customer CSS….

Regarding your feedback on the documentation, we are continuously updating the articles and almost all main doc posts have been updated, however some old ones that contains tips and tricks specific to old layout may need refactoring and i can assure you we are working on it.

With our new nested column options and more advanced theme options, custom CSS requirement is almost zero, however in some very particular cases customers do require custom CSS fixes.

Very disappointed customer here.
My Avada theme keeps making changes to my website without me doing ANYTHING.
A few months ago the entire custom css text vanished completely. I had to rewrite every line of code. Luckily I still had the initial support that could help me redo everything.
Now it happened again, changes were made to my website without me doing absolutely anything. I have not made any changes to my website in months and when I checked my website today I noticed 2 major changes. 1: The entire slider on the startpage is GONE. 2: Some text that were all centered aligned previously has now become chopped up, part of it is still centered while another part is left aligned. And now I don’t even have the support anymore.
Incredibly frustrating.

Nothing like that should happen on its own actually, our theme never make changes on its own to your content or theme options in fact no theme does that, please make sure you do not have a cache plugin in action from server or your side.
However in order to see why its happening we will need you to please fill in a ticket with us so we can take a precise look at your issue and why it happens.

Well, it has happened at least twice and I dont have any strange plugins. Luckily I was able to restore a backup through my web hosting company.
I think it’s really horrible that my Avada website changes by itself and you don’t do anything to solve the problem. Your only suggestion is basically to pay you more money.

I can assure you that there is no issue with our update or there is no way our theme will change anything on its own for you, that is just not true and not technically possible at all. Unless your server is rolling back to previous backups on its own or cache is in action. We have thousands of customers who have updated their site without any issues at all and that that speaks for itself, if you can just open a ticket with us we can assist you as to where and why this issue is coming up.
Regarding the paid support, On September 1st, Envato changed the terms for support. When you purchase Avada you receive 6 months of free support. When those 6 months have expired, you can renew your support subscription for another 6 or 12 months at a designated fee.
After the 6 months of included support is over, you’ll still be able to get free theme updates that we release and submit bug reports via email or item comments. In addition you will still be able to access our support center for documentation, knowledge base, video tutorials and possibly other community avenues of support. However, if you do not renew the support subscription after 6 months, then you will not receive access to hands-on support through our ticket system.
This change in policy is controlled and monitored by Envato and we abide by their rules.

AGAIN my site has been changed!! I just saw it 5 minutes ago!
I know for sure it has nothing to do with my web hosting, because it is never modified back to an earlier state. First time the CSS was deleted. Second time my main slider was deleted and a paragraph was changed. THIS time the main slider was deleted AGAIN as well as text within a content box was modified.
Instead of making EXCUSES you should look into why my Avada website is making these random changes. I should not have to pay for support since this is not user error! Unless you solve this problem I will WARN anyone from buying the Avada Theme. It’s a hell when your website makes changes on its own.

Listen, we are not making excuses. Do you truly think that is what we are doing here? If we did that, would we continue to be the #1 selling theme for 4 years in a row? No of course not. I understand you are frustrated, but please think about this logically.
Avada cannot just change your site without any actions being taken, no theme can do that, it’s simply impossible. Either somebody else has access to your site (for which you should contact your host, they can tell you if some other location is) or, what you are possibly seeing is cache, either from your browser or from your server.
My suggestion would be to contact your host, this has to be some form of cache, and they can give you logs that show what has changed and how.
The only way for us to take a look at it is through support. We’d need to login and see what is going on. And as already noted, we did not make the support policy, therefor we cannot change it.
