Hi i just upgraded to version 5. I have tried to activate tatsu plugins and I’m getting fatal errors and can not activate them. Also my home page now has a “HOME” underneath the header image that I can not find to remove. As my menu is located above the header.

I just upgraded to the latest version of Oshine and design has gone weird. I have been using the Oshine Child Theme, so my CSS is still in tact. The Centered Slider and filterable categories also stopped working. Is there a new fix coming soon? Can you give me some guidance on exactly what needs to be done to resolve this?

I have a couple of questions:

1) In my Menu – click AKTUALITY page – (my facebook news feed, using Recent Facebook Posts plugin). I always have to scroll down to see the content of this page. Can you help me get rid of this empty black space? I tried adjusting various settings in the page preferences but it is still there.
2) Those little hearts in the right upper corner of pictures (theme v22), where are they stored (saved)? I was thinking about creating an album of pics based on the number of hearts clicked by page visitors.
3) I am using SPLIT SCREEN RIGHT template in the Pages “O mně”, “Biografie , “Kontakt” with text on the right, picture on the left. However, when I open them on mobile phone, my client needs the order of the page to be
a) Text b) Picture
instead of b) Picture a) Text
Please, could you help me or at least navigate me (plugins, CSS code, etc.) how to change the order of these elements? I read somewhere in the comments, it is complicated but my client really demands it. :-/
I tried changing it to Split screen left template but it wont change the order either. I bet it can be rewritten in the code (someone more experience would have to do that) but i was wondering if there is a “simpler” way.

1. I Checked your site and it looks your facebook recent posts plugin is adding some empty p and br tags which is causing the additional space at the top. Refer Screenshot here -. https://cl.ly/1j3w1f2n2S09 Apologies there isn’t much I can do here.
2. The number of like is stored in the database as a META for the attachment. You will have to write php custom code in order to create a separate gallery based on the number of likes as we do not have an in built feature for that.
3. It looks like you have already achieved this. Kudos for the real smart css. I am learning from your code

Tatsu has completely ruined my site, it doesn’t let me edit anything at all, all i can do is add rows and put nothing in them in, how do i revert to the page builder??

Hi Swammi. My website has gone skew-whiff since updating to oshin 5.0 a short while ago. It did not matter that i backed up the options and imported them again. Basically,my gallery pages/images are squashed and skewed instead of full screen. My fonts have changed too. I had an extra menu showing too but sorted that by choosing the correct template. Any ideas?
I have downgraded back to Oshine 4.6.1 but still the same problem
Hi Swammi. I got my website back to the way it was before upgrading to oshin 5.0. I had the database backed up recently and so the sql file done the trick, i only lost recent minor customisations, but easy to do again. So, the question is, how do i update to oshin 5.0 without messing my website up again?

Hey Swami,
I recently received an email to update my Oshine product to 5.0. I followed all the instructions highlighted in your guides, but the change seems to have made quite a mess of my website.
All areas of my website are now full of what looks like Tatsu shortcode and a few styles have changed. However, I think if you can give me a fix to remove the unwanted shortcode things should be fine.

I did a little more looking around my Wordpress dashboard and it turns out all I needed to do was activate the Tatsu plugin.
I don’t think this was mentioned in your update guide, so maybe adding this might be clearer for other users in the future.

Thank you for your kind words. It is quite simple to do what you are looking for. In the edit screen of your portfolio item, under the OSHINE – PORTFOLIO SETTINGS meta box, inside the PORTFOLIO GRID – THUMBNAILS SETTINGS tab, you can find the LINK THUMBNAIL TO option. The theme is compatible with php 7 but unfortunately we are not RTL compatible yet. However we will compatibility in one of our upcoming updates as we have recently moved towards a flexbox based css framework, thus making it easier for us.

I would like to have a fullscreen-slider with text (on the slides) and a visible footer.
I can make a fullscreen-slider (with visible footer) with the “Gallery Page Template Options”, but I cannot add a text there. If I use the “Header Hero Section” the footer isn’t visible without scrolling.

Hi Thorsten,
In your case, I would recommend using the Slider Revolution plugin to create a full screen slider so that you can add and style the text layers as you wish. Once you create a slider using the plugin, you will be provided a shortcode, which you can use in the hero section or inside a Plugin Shortcodes Module of the page builder.

To locate your purchase code, login to to Themeforest account and under the DOWNLOADS section, you will find Oshine. Click on the Download Button next to Oshine and Download the License Certificate and Purchase. Inside the downloaded document will be able to find the purchase code. Copy it and login to your wordrpress admin area, go to APPEARANCES -> OSHINE PURCHASE CODE and paste the code there. You will then be able to update your theme directly from the backend using a single click.

Buttons?
i try to make a button. Filled in the button shortcode module but nothing shows up. Made a new section and tried it again. How can i do this? I want two rows of 3 large buttons.

Hi Rene,
If you are using the new page builder TATSU, then all you need to do is drag and drop a button module from the left panel , to one of the columns in the right panel. Then click on the button and edit its settings.

hello, im having trouble with the translate, i followed the steps with the Poedit and i have just 2 word translated, the rest of them still the same. And i tried with the option for de BE Page Builder, but i dont see any theme translation section.
Which words are you looking to translate ? If you are using version 5.0 with the new Oshine Modules and Tatsu plugins, then you will have to translate these plugins, in order to cover all the text strings that have been localized.

row of buttons
i do not know if this is possible but i would like to make something like two rows of three columns with buttons in it. Everybutton is an image with a text in it adn has a link to another page of the site. The buttons should be something like 300×300 pxs and have rounded corners. I figured out to make something similar with the title with icon module but i cannot get the text inside the image and no rounded corners. Next i tried to place the picture in illustrator, make the corners round and put a text on top of it. Next i saved it as jpg image and imported this in my media library. When i import this in the title with iconmodule it looks blurry. Is there a way?

Here is what you can do, but for rounded corners, I am not really sure. You will have to try using custom css
1. Add Two Rows with 3 Columns each 2. Set a Background Image for each Column 3. Enable Overlay for Each Column and set a link for the overlay. 4. Add a Text Module and Button in each column for adding any content.
Step 3 is what you probably missed, which is essential to link the column to a different page. You can add a custom css class to each of the columns and then use custom css to add a border-radius in order to create rounded corners.

i have to correct that. This is a portfolio module i see now. I want something else. I made a fixed height animated module with a link to a page in it. Works okay, nothing wrong with that. Waht i would prefer is a gutter of 0 between the module elements Is that possible or by means of another module.

Hi Rene,
You could simple use the page builder COLUMNS. Divide a Row into as many columns as you want, edit the row and set the Gutter Width as 0. You can set a background image or video or color for the columns and add whatever modules you want there. In the row settings, you can set the columns to be of equal height. Let me know if this works for you.

Aha! Found it. But this is not what i am looking for. The grid of images is what i want but i want to put a link and text in it. That does not seem to be possible

Where can I find the code of v22 light and dark colour schemes for fonts in header – you said it is hard coded but is it possible to change these colours?

Kindly use the following css selectors to target the light and dark header color schemes.
header-inner-wrap.background—light #navigation,
header-inner-wrap.background—dark #navigation
The background—light class is added when the background is light, which means the color should be dark in this case and vice versa.

Please provide a link to the page with the image whose size you are trying to reduce, and I will provide the css code accordingly. Please share the code that you were trying. If the code is correct, then kindly ensure that options panel cache is turned off under the General settings section of the Options panel. The cache could be preventing your code from taking effect.

menu colours I can set the hoover colour in the menu but cannot find a way to make that colour stick if you are on that page of the menu. So you know where you are on the site.

something strange is happening. I updated one site yesterday that worked fine after that. Another one i did not update and today i updated the third one. This allso worked fine after that All to the new wordpress verison and to the oshin 5.0 version except one.
They are all down now, after a short period of functioning okay. What to do?

The third one got back to life too but is looking strange. I did not do the conversion with the BE tatsu converter because i cannot find it.
Might that be the problem?

i finally found out that i had to put the downloaded plugins manually in the plugins map of my site. I was searching in the wordpress plugins so i could not find it. Now everything is back to life and i like the tatsu builder much better than the previous page builder. A great improve. Thanks!
