Kindly share your wordpress admin url, ID and password to help@brandexponents.com citing the issue and our developers will investigate and identify the conflicting plugin or the issue. Also share your FTP access, just incase we have to look into the debug logs. We will ensure your pages and posts are transitioned to tatsu. Don’t worry your content and your layouts will be retained after the convertion.

I am really glad you like our theme. You should actually enter the complete url for the links so that they work even when you are in an internal page such as your portfolio gallery or blog post. http://www.marjoramstudio.com/#about is the right way to use it. I just checked your site the links seem to be working fine and are in the correct format. Have you already resolved this ?

We have 5 members working in the support forum, while just one out here. With regards to the templates, I think you are referring to the demos. Demos are different templates. Once you create a page you can save it as a template, so that you can quickly use it as a starting point for another page. Demos are the ones prebuilt sites that we have included with the theme. They are not available as templates via Tatsu. Hi Swami, before you sent this page I went ahead and loaded options panel settings and widgets. Do I need to delete these now? I’ve experianced problems with the 500 server error, when I contacted my webhost they said it was because I had too many plugins. Are there plugins I can deactivate that are used only for page building that I can disable after it’s finished?

The 500 internal server while importing the demo content is most likely because of your server’s limited PHP memory limit or max_execution_time. If you set your memory limit to 128MB and max_execution_time to 300. By the way you can also disable all your plugins, while importing your demo and then once the import process is done you can reenable it. If you need importing any demo let me know and we can assist. I can help import ONE demo of your choice and set your website like that so that you can use it as starting point. If you had a good server, this process wouldn’t take more than 5 mins.

Hi Jack,

Looks like Ram has already responded to your questions in our support forum. By the way, you shouldn’t be editing the content simultaneously in the default wordpress editor as well Tatsu. Obviously your changes in one will get overwritten in another, unless you refresh the editor or Tatsu after making a change in either one. This approach is not recommended and I am not sure why you would have to necessity to modify them simultaneously given both save content in the same place.

and when I say takes a long time to load the media library I’m talking so long that I give up (30minutes plus).

Another quick question I forgot to ask, can we have more than one instagram account connected? I have two accounts that I need to show in the widget but can’t seem to add more than one account to it. I’m assuming this has more to do with instagram permissions than anything else but would love a work around if there is one.

Thanks for your feedback on Tatsu. It definitely shouldn’t take that long to load your media library. We believe there may be a 3rd party conflict or your server might have been very slow at that moment. The media library usually pops up immediately and images may take a few seconds to load depending on the speed of your server and network connection. 30 mins is too long and something is wrong. Usually If there was a javascript or 3rd party plugin issue, then the media library woundn’t load at all, which is why I believe it may have been your server or network connection at that time. Kindly share your wordpress admin url, ID and password to help@brandexponents.com and we will investigate from our end as well. Currently, we do not have an option for linking more than one instagram account. I would recommend trying a plugin such as this – https://wordpress.org/plugins/instagram-feed/ and see if it has that feature. We will consider adding an option for getting the API key in the Gallery module itself so that multiple accounts can be displayed.

1 & 2 . I guess you know the wordpress API. You should try enqueing a javascript file in the footer, mark these files “tatsu”, ‘oshine-module’, & ‘be-themes-script-js’ as its dependencies. Inside your javascript file have an immediately executing function ( NOT inside document.ready ) and register your version of the magnific popup and image loader using the asyncloader.

asyncloader.register(  ABSOLUTE LINK TO YOUR FILE, 'magnificpopup' );

You should use enqueue the file using your child theme. The order of registering of scripts is very important and will determine whether your script gets loaded or not. We haven’t customized this and I am not really sure if it will work. We can’t support customization requests at this time either.

2. You don’t have to use all your scripts with the asyncloader. We have builder asyncloader to load jquery plugins asynchronously and on demand. Earlier a google maps or a magnific popup’s javascript file used to load irrespective of whether there was a maps module or a gallery module in the page. Now we will load them only if required for performance reasons.

3. Yes the wordpress dashboard loads in a new tab because, we don’t want you to leave the page accidentally without saving the work done in Tatsu. It is easier to close a tab but difficult to restore a unsaved content created after spending valuable time. Until users get used to the new builder, we don’t want to take chances.

4. Opacity option is right now built into the color field. So the old attribute is no longer being used. Refer screenshot here: https://cl.ly/3N3h1I173x3n

It is cropped and scaled up so it looks low-res.

The images we receive from instagram are cropped to square resolution. This is the same way it is showcased in our demos. We have to update our code and see if we can receive the full sized image from their API. We will be able to do so only in one of our upcoming updates. In the meanwhile you can try using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/instagram-feed/ to see if it serves your need.

Update: When I deactivated the plugins one by one the same result happened. All content under the top image is gone. When I turn on all of the BE plugins then I’m back to where I started. All the content appears and the images in Clients section have broken images.

We actually found that GIFs are actually supported by the portfolio grid already. we basically crop images to various dimensions required by the portfolio grid using Wordpress’s in built image cropping functions. Wordpress handles this part and what is does is that while cropping the gifs it strips them of the animation and generates jpegs instead. So the problem is not with the rendering by the theme, but rather the cropping by Wordpress. So the solution is for us to stop using cropped dimensions. The downside of doing this is that you will no longer be able to have a uniform grid automatically, unless all your featured images are uploaded with the same dimensions. Let me know if this is okay with you, in which case I will provide a custom php snippet for use inside the child theme.

Well, that is not really what I was looking for. I’m already using gifs in my portfolio grid as featured images and that is working fine. What I was wondering was if you could implement to support the use of mp4 or webm as portfolio featured images. Thanks /Oscar

Apologies but we don’t have this functionality yet. We are having technical difficulties in supporting all the grid possibilities we have ( backward compatibility ) and thus have had to put the feature on hold.

Hi Arjan,

It looks like you have edited your home page with the default wordpress editor. Switching to the default wordpress editor and editing your content will add a title bar to the page. If you are actually editing the page with tatsu and just switched the default editor for a simple change, just edit the page with Tatsu and save it once. Otherwise you wouldn’t have the title bar and you wouldn’t even have to use css to modify the padding. With regards to Tatsu not working in your site, it looks like a 3rd party plugin conflict. Kindly deactivate 3rd party plugins one by one to identify the incompatible one and if the issue still persists, please write to us at help@brandexponents.com and our developers will investigate.

Thanks Swami, the last problem i’m having since updating is, in the latest version of firefox, my menu items at the top of the page are dark grey instead of white? Any idea’s?

Cancel that, it only seems to be the about page and contact page? strange? also doing it in IE on those pages.

Kindly follow the instructions below the translate the text strings.

a. Install the Loco Translate plugin from the wordpress repository

b. Navigate to LOCO TRANSLATE -> PLUGINS panel from your wordpress admin area and select the plugin ( OSHINE MODULES in your case ) you want to translate.

c. In the Overview tab, click New Language.

d. Skip the template creation process

e. Choose your language & choose a location. We would recommend choosing Custom the location. Click on the Start Translating Button.

f. Choose the text strings you want to translate from the Source texts and Enter their translations.

g. Once you are done translating the strings you want, click on the Save button. You will see a confirmation stating that .po and .mo files were compiled.

I tried this and it worked perfectly.
