Hello Swami,

Since the recent update I am now seeing the page titles and navigation on all my pages. These were never there before. How do I remove them?

Oshine 5.0 is a major update where we have discontinued the BE Page Builder ( which you need to deactivate once you convert the posts & pages to tatsu ) and introduced a new front end page builder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8z4FSMLtWoQ

I’m struggling with the same problem others have raised, and I accept your explanation that this is not the plugin’s fault. However, I did not have this problem with PB and I have it with Tatsu (which I think as an idea is nice, by the way, if I could use it), so I hope you will be able to help.

In essence, I can’t save anything – Unable to Save! message.

1. All my plugins are updated (1.0.1) 2. I cleared my cashe 3. I don’t have a plugin named WORDFENCE 4. My website is using Wordpress (4.7.1) and I have no idea about its cashing system. I also don’t know how to update my website in the staging area. I am not sure what that is. Would you be able to advise please?

Alternatively, would you be able to advise how I could reverse to an earlier version of Oshine, as I really need to be able to make updates?

I display blog archive using page builder’s “RECENT – BLOG POSTS MASONRY STYLE” . I am uploading photos of Square,sometimes thumbnail is not square. When it is replaced with another picture it will be displayed in square.

It does not improve even if I edit and upload the original photo to square. Please tell us the conceivable causes for that.

Thanks for your reply, the map issue is now fixed together with other weird things that I had because of the 2 plugins. However, the cart widget is still not showing. The site is this: https://canoes.recoil.dk/ . Right now it’s set up that in the right side of the menu is supposed to be shown the car widget.

Thank you for your interest in purchasing the theme. The size of the Thumbnails in the Portfolio Grid is defined by the default aspect ratio that is set in the theme which is 1.6. You do have option to modify this and thereby the dimension of the images can be modified. However, this will apply on all the images in the grid and you cannot have different sizes for each of the thumbnail in the grid. Alternatively, you have option to set certain thumbnail sizes to “double width” or “double height” in order to achieve this. This option is showcased in this page in our demo – http://oshine.wpengine.com/portfolio-full-width/

1. To get the container to occupy the full width, you need to set the option “Full Width Row” in the respective ROW’s setting panel.

2. Kindly paste the slider’s shortcode in the module named “SHORTCODE MODULES” .

This update has really made my life difficult…everything worked beautifully before! I still can’t save with Tatsu (set Wordfence to learning mode, no change). Have to make changes in Page Editor for anything to show up right. Converted all pages to Tatsu, and that at least got rid of the breadcrumbs, but gallery spacing is all messed up still.

Is there a timeframe for an update that will work?

Kindly share your wordpress admin url, ID and password to help@brandexponents.com and we will investigate your issue. Did you try deactivating the wordfence plugin, and try making changes. If it worked, then the problem can be narrowed down to it. It is common for wordfence to blacklist ajax requests and you need to whitelist genuine requests. It does so when you put it learning mode and whitelists the requests automatically once it finds out to be genuine. Please note that it is the plugin that is causing the issue and has to learn what genuine requests are and ones that are malicious, not the other way around. You can’t blame us for it. They have an option where you can manually whitelist the requests as well. We can try to do this for you, if this is actually the problem.

OK, guess I’ll ask the question here. It appears the logo no longer shrinks to fit within the browser for mobile. How may I fix this issue. I’m not on 5.0 yet.

Hi,

Breadcrumbs and the page title are now visible on my pages (default template) after the update. If I turn on Tatsu, my content is gone. So that’s no option. How can I remove this without losing my content I built with the page builder.

Just too clarify how Portfolios work – The featured image that you upload will appear in the Portfolio Grid, and the images that you upload in the PORTFOLIO OPTIONS metabox will appear in the respective internal portfolio pages. Does the issue occur in the Portfolio Grid, or the Internal Portfolio Page in your site? If you could give me the link to this page, i will be able to help you with the fix.

On my homepage (www.cultivateandco.com) I have a gallery and it’s suppose to have the 9 photos in 3 columns but it shows as two columns. When I change it to 4 columns it shows correctly as 4 columns. Please advise.

Hi, the update from Oshine 4 to 5 has completely broken our Mailchimp newsletter sign-ups.

Here is a page with the new “Newsletter” module native to Tatsu: http://www.ideafoundry.org/science/accelerator/

When you put in an email and press submit, it just refreshes the page. Nothing happens, no feedback. And I can see from Mailchimp that I haven’t been subscribed. I have made sure to fill in the API key and list ID fields obtained from Mailchimp.

Hi there, I have had my client on your theme for a few years a go and have kept up to date. Unfortunately, the support ran out and I have a bug to report.

I just updated to the latest version with Tatsu. Everything seems to be working fine BUT the Mailchimp signup form on the homepage. The button doesn’t even click down when I enter my email address. This is a widget used from your BE Page Builder. I have another mailchimp plugin installed to subscribe on checkout BUT I deactivated it and the signup form on the homepage still doesn’t work. Is there anyway you can help me without use having to pay for support again as this is a BUG. Cheers and thank you in advance.

Hello. This is a great theme and my client loves it; however, she has a very sharp eye and has noticed the masonry style gallery is cutting off a few pixels from the images displayed in the 3rd column—on the right side. The only reason this is noticeable is because there is a black outline around the images, which is actually part of the image in the jpg file. Indeed, this is very subtle but my client is very demanding. The website gallery can be viewed at www.allenmatthewsphotography.com Is there any way to correct this? Thank you in advance.

Figured out a work-around: increased the gutter size from 10px to 15px and the problem went away.

Hi,

I have a problem with Unable to Save! error message when I tried to save edited page inside Tatsu builder.

1. Stage site made on one test server, theme updated to 5.0.1 with Oshine Module 5.0.1 and Tatsu 5.0.1. Converted all pages to new version went well and I can working on site (add/edit pages with Tatsu Builder) without a problem.

After my client migrated site to his server all existing pages cant be edited anymore (Unable to Save! error).

Some facts:

- On source server PHP is 5.6 and on destination server PHP is 5.5.9

- For migration used “WP Engine Automated Migration” plugin

- Strange thing is that I can create new pages on migrated site and edit/save inside Tatsu builder without Save issue. So that error happen only for already created pages.

Could you tell me how resolve this issue? We will using this theme for a set of similar sites so need to fix this asap and can continue.

2. I am confusing about date and all new stuff version. I am using theme 5.0.1 from Dec 28 2016, but now last version shows as from Jan 3rd 2017 (still include same files as one from Dec).

3. What about new version for Oshine Module and Tatsu (1.0.2). I see that update in plugins but that versions dont included in last version of theme (5.0.1). Are they a part of some futured theme update? What you fixed with that new versions of plugins? Cant find any description.

4. Please update Change Log part on theme page with all new updates. Last one is for 4.6.1

Hi Kim,

When you create a new page, a cache for that page doesn’t exist, but existing pages are cached, while something like nonce should be freshly generated each time. Nonces are very important for security. It is ironical that wpengine recommends the uses of Nonces for security in their own blogs – https://wpengine.com/blog/brad-williams-on-secure-wordpress-development/ It does not mean that your site with wpengine is insecure. We validate nonce while saving the post using tatsu, but since they have a unique caching layer that doesn’t respect a nocache header or constant like other caching plugins, the validation always fails and we end up not performing the save operation. Their current recommendation is to move the site to the STAGING area, where there is no cache and then move it over to the live site once you are done making the changes. Or you can turn off caching in your live site until you are ready to deploy your site. Unfortunately this is an issue related to the hosting environment and we are awaiting a more graceful solution from them.

When we ran a compatibility check with PHP 7 using this plugin – https://wpengine.com/blog/php-7-compatibility-checker-plugin our theme and all the plugins except Master Slider seem to be compatible with PHP 7. We still have to do run time checks though.

Any update on the issues with TATSU issues… Not being able to save. FYI, i am running Version 1.0.2 of TATSU and Version: 5.0.1 of Oshine.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused. Upon inspecting sites recently we found that the save issue occurred because of two reasons and neither were related to our plugin.

1. Firstly it was found that some of the users were using an older version of PHP and this was causing a problem. We issued a patch in 1.0.1 is resolve this. If you are updating to the new version of Tatsu from 1.0 then kindly clear your browser cache and try again. 2. The firewall of a security plugin named WORDFENCE is blocking the Ajax requests, which is known to generate false positives. This can be resolved by setting its firewall in LEARNING MODE. This way it will automatically learn and whitelist Tatsu’s request. You can also manually whitelist our requests.

Disable any 3rd party plugins you may have to see if they are creating a conflict.

If neither of these solutions work for you, kindly share your Wordpress admin access to help@brandexponents.com and we will investigate the problem.
