Having major issues with the /portfolio/ slug getting hijacked and redirecting the page to Archive Portfolio. Changing themes and moving back to Uncode works until Uncode Theme Options are saved and then it’s completely reset. Never had any issues until recently and it’s a massive problem.
Also, what happened to the forum support? Not enjoying this new closed system – was a huge help having open dialogue with the staff and other users, as well as all the historical documentation of resolutions.

The old support forum was closed according to the ThemeForest terms and now the login to support is managed by Envato .When you buy an item you have 6 or 12 months of support included based on your plan (http://undsgn.d.pr/sqBJ/2HrJTsUB). You cannot expect to have lifetime support, this is not sustainable both for authors both for the marketplace. If you are not happy with this you should complaint to Envato (not authors that are forced to respect the marketplace policy), or simply extend your support period.
Will continue to run some troubleshooting on my end but nothing has been modified short of a few aesthetic plugins – even with deactivation of all plugins I’m still getting the same issue. No redirects referenced in the htaccess.
I feel you misinterpreted my statement about the support – I’m aware of the new process and a paid support plan seems somewhat reasonable; the exception being that several developers (myself included) have been contributing in debugging, testing and resolving quite a few of the problems in Uncode amongst ourselves – and would thoroughly love to continue doing so as we want to see this theme succeed. The forum provided that platform for communication with the team.
Regardless, my question was in reference specifically to the forum from before. I feel having an open forum for public discussion and historical documentation of Uncode, in conjunction with the paid dedicated support, is still extremely reasonable. It’s regrettable that Envato (or Undsgn?) would cripple the support options of such an amazing product with these types of constraints.
Hi Vextris, please open a support request as suggested since it’s not possible to debug in words if we don’t have any other similar reports. If there is an odd issue that happen only for you we need to check installation details.
Most of users just want private support and it’s not sustainable make support open for all the customers, also for support we have great expense. Private support is the same you have for any other big products (from the first top 30 + themes or premium plugin no one offers public open support, please have a check).
Again. An open forum does not mean open product support from undsgn. Maybe you’re not understanding. Either way, please stop skewing my intent. It was not a complaint. It was a simple question followed by open and honest feedback – not only as a user, but as a fellow developer and someone who is currently giving you sales from my recommendations to my own clients. Take it or leave it, it’s your business.
After 20 years in this industry I don’t need to be sold on the concept of the support of a product behind a pay-wall. Public forums have never killed a product; not once.

Hi Vextris! Just to clarify with open forum you mean a forum that is not supported by our team? Note also that most of users complain in the past about public forum, not all users are happy to show their problems publicly and this is the reason why the most famous support systems, eg: Zendesk (we use), Ticksy (used by many authors) etc are strictly private.

Correct. Not a product support forum, but a forum for the users to participate in and for the undsgn staff to use as a data aggregation tool. Having open and collaborative dialogue for bug or error reporting from your user base is an extremely invaluable tool, especially when the majority of those users are experienced developers themselves. One of the most powerful selling points of Uncode is that it’s so developer-friendly. We had this outlet before, and frankly, the forum resolved 90% of my issues (core existing issues with the theme), and not even just from the undsgn staff – it provided far more insight than the current generic documentation has been able to (although yes, it is very well done).
One extremely important hindrance (certain Windows 10 Desktop environments enabled touchscreen drivers which prevented the drop menus in Uncode from triggering with a cursor) required me to troubleshoot and present my findings to the team; during the discussion, several others came forwards with the same issue and I was able to provide the solution to everyone. Small enough of a sample of the users to not readily be known, but large enough of an issue to completely cripple the entire functionality of the theme for those users.
When my support subscription runs out, how do I bring that to the team’s attention? How do I discuss with other users or offer findings to the staff based on my own unique system configuration? It’s not just about undsgn supporting us, but there are those of us who want to continue supporting Uncode as well; we want this to succeed and see it continue to grow for years to come.
Hi Vextris! The main problem is that there is not a support system that offer both these features, or you use a forum or you use a private ticket system. Then if we have an open forum once again all users can access and ask support. OK you are a skilled and loyal user but we also have tons of users that have build 20+ websites with Uncode with a single purchase (and they asked support for all the sites). Do you have an idea what this mean for authors? Please mind about this. As told private ticket was the request from most of user, first of all is important respect the users privacy, most of users are accustomed by other support Help Center to have private support and when we talk about privacy nothing goes first. If your support expired you can comunicate a possible issue by our private profile page, the team will check the possible issue on our installations and if verified you’ll receive the fix on next update (there should be a difference between support expired users and user with not expired or renewed support, this is in the customers and marketplace own interest too).

Great and fantastic theme, unfortunately the only 2 things that are missing and I wish they were in it are:
1- Add the feature to order popular posts by VIEW COUNTS and filter by CATEGORIES and TIME (last 7 days, last 30 days, ...), this is a must have feature, I wish they add it in the future.
2- Implement the new Visual Composer (v5) which has the ability to edit pages/posts live without the need to refresh the website page after every change, It’s really frustrating right now.
If the theme has these I would rate it 5, because it will deserve it.

You cannot rate a theme for features you don’t see in none of the 200+ pages. You can rate a theme that show “View Counts” on the demo and this function doesn’t work as expected, not a theme that don’t show this feature. We hope you can review your rate.
Oh, okay, I was just expecting those features to exist in the theme based on what you mentioned on the theme features:
1- “Recommended Posts System Like Facebook”: I think recommended posts on Facebook are based on the amount of views or something like that.
2- “Visual Composer Enhanced”: the word “enhanced” + since the new Visual Composer (v5) came out like 2 years ago and the last update of the Uncode theme was 2 November 2016, all these made me think/expect this feature to be already existed.
I’m sorry about the misunderstanding, I will change my rating based on what you stated.
And please can you take in considerations to add just these two features I’m really in desperate need of them in future updates, taking in account I already asked for them in “Request Feature” page, I really hope they will be implemented in the future.

You right about the word “enhanced”, in fact we have modified in the upcoming update release that will be published pretty soon, from the Uncode debuts Visual Composer was changed and it’s better describe it as “tailored”. Anyway note that Uncode is not the only theme without the Front-End builder, deactivate it is a common choice from top-authors. I see your feature requests, anyway the recommended and view counts are not part of this release (I want to be sincere), we have closed the requests about 1 months ago and when we evaluate new features based on the most requested.

Yes the excerpt should NOT be blank, in case we can suggest how to hide it. The excerpt must be filled. Please try to insert.

The separator line can be grey or accent color, otherwise you can create the same layout using an heading module + divider module (you can set any size and color) + text module. At the end you’ll have the same layout with more control.

ps: in the meanwhile I have testes our demo and random sites from the showcase and it’s not caused by Uncode, try remove some plugins or at least it seems a possible problem with some cache plugins you probably have installed. Please have a check and report in our Help Center!

My problem is that our malware scans reported that our slider Revolution 5.2.5.4 has been infected with eval(gzuncompress(base64_decode. We’re planning to restore our site to from a backup but Im afraid we might get re-infected since we’re using an old version of the plugin.
Hi, we suggest to restore your version and then install the new version as soon you’ll receive the Uncode update notification in the next weeks, we are sorry but for Envato policy we cannot send plugins separately from the theme to users (I hope you can understand that this can be “killer” for the whoel CodeCanyon Marketplace). Plugins can be only be distributed with theme updates.
Hey! Pre-buy questions! 1) Is this theme easy to work with in WordPress for someone who doens’t know code? Is it easy to change things around simply through the options? 2) Can I do a .gif on the cover page? 3) Can I do a grid in the middle of the page, with a white border around the grid (with the images on the grid touching) but the border around it, so that the images aren’t touching the side of the page?

Hi, just about to buy this theme but I have a quick question, When I install the theme will all my pages and posts still look the same? will I have to go back over every page and post to make it look like it did? I am using a very old uncode theme that my web developer used but has now gone and I can’t update, so I will buy the theme so it is under my name and I get the updates.
