Hi, is there a way to get video to play in a content block when using a mobile device? I know WordPress support this now but wondered if this theme does?

No problem, is there however a way that I can display an image in the background rather than just a colour? That way it will just show the image on mobile but the video on desktop. I know revolution slider does this but ideally I want to use your content block.

Hi AsheshCreative! It’s not easy from the front-end understand how you have build this page (with Uncode you can build this layout in different ways). Anyway with Visual Composer you can insert the main contents in a column of 8/12 and then create another column of 4/12 (the sidebar you need). Then you can adjust the settings of the column to have the layout need, this is an example of how it should look in the admin: http://undsgn.d.pr/SH2qi/1vZ4VHQG

hi, not sure how to preserve image content on mobile. Basically i have to photos of people on my web page which look great on desktop and tablet size browsers but when it is viewed on mobile their heads are cut off and you just see the mid section of the photo – any idea how I can prevent this?

Hi and sorry for delay! You have 2 options. The first is to modify the background positions (these images are background), where you set them (Column > Style) there is an option named “background position” and you need to set as “center top”. Hi ricardo_dasilva! It seems your host is limiting your resources and your “Mod Security” options. When you save Theme Options you trigger lot of “calculations” and your host is limiting these operations. Hi barreoblique! When you buy a theme on ThemeForest you have 6 months of support included. Support is not lifetime in any marketplace and if you need support after the canonical 6 months (that is a very reasonable time to build a site) you need to renew it. If it’s something simple we are happy to help here in the limits of the Envato policy for support. What problem you have?
After a few years here, and the new way that Envato found it to make money some time ago, I understand the principle of technical support. I understand the scenario, but you should know about the 6 months if you are an usual customer from Envato, the main reasons of this policy is to discourage users build multiple sites and they ask support for all of them. Unfortunately it’s not easy to help you without a check to your site, this is generally not an issue of Uncode, I think your server suffers for some specific proprietary features of our Visual Composer (every server have specific setups and anyway this is a performance issue). If you have not used Uncode and you find it slow the best we can offer is a refund. This is not a problem.
I am on my own dedicated server. And I have several sites hosted on this server that uses the official version without any problems. Moreover, on this same installation of WordPress, I use the unbridled version is it is 100% functional.
What do you offer me as an alternative to reimbursement? Especially that everything is green ..

We are sorry but we cannot debug what’s wrong on your server, this is generally not an issue of Uncode, this is something up your server configuration if you are on a VPN, unfortunately there are dozen of settings you can have modified that can influence this.

It is on this site that I just installed your theme. Is it preferable that we continue this conversation in private, via your profile or by email?
We are not talking about the quality of our product Uncode, odd issues happen every day on technical environments (always relataed to server settings) and for this reason Envato offers refunds if there are these odd issues. We cannot modify the core of Uncode if it’s slow on your server only. These are normal waiting times http://undsgn.d.pr/y3rO3/1JqUCoIO. Try to use Uncode on another server. There is really nothing we can help even if we move on a private chat and the best we can offer you is a refund even if the problem is not native of Uncode. I hope this make sense.
What if I renew for technical support what would you do? If the error comes from handling my server, you must have a good idea of where this problem can come from, right? That said, I have more than 50 WordPress sites with different themes, with different builder, and none of them have this kind of problem.
As you have seen from the video this is not generally a problem with Uncode and slowness happen on your server setup only, that is why I told you immediately that if you need to use this server, the refund is the best solution. We have never advised you to renew your support because we know that if there is a strange server-side problem we can not do anything.

We mean that you can also renew support but if there is an odd issue with your server the refund is the only solution, we cannot modify the Uncode Core or Uncode VC because only your server is slow with it (this is probably related to some server settings you have applied); also on low budget host like GoDaddy or Hostgator Uncode is fast enough. I would have liked a solution track. I like your theme and its options. But if we can not use it on our server (hence the interest of knowing what we could have changed to use your theme), we will ask for a refund.

We have understood that your facing slow saving time issues but we cannot really debug your server setup. Have you tried Uncode on another host? We can help and support for any possible native problems of the theme but not servers if a problem is not applicable in other environments as you can see from our video and impressive customer showcase.
My question is: Where should I look on my server to edit an item that prevents your theme from working properly. As you say this is a server problem, you need to have some idea of the problem or the setup to look at?
Hi barreoblique, the problem is that any servers have too many settings that possibile combined can create an issue (this is why we offered you a refund in front of server side oddity, note also that server debugging is not part of the Envato support policy). Anyway send also logins so we can have a quick check.
Well, I installed your theme in on another wordpress site on the same server and the problem of slowness does not exist. So, this is not a server problem. This is another thing. I will disable all the plugins and do other tests and get you back with a solution if I find it. That way you will know at least that there is a solution. You just find the problem… this is a problem with Chrome. That’s work well with Firefox. Maybe an exention of chrome.. i will let you know. Give me a minute or two for testing. Looking good

Yes, I updated it by envato toolkit, but I didn’t made backup. I regret it so much. But this changes on my site isn’t because of this update, but it happened when I install all DEMOS….uninstalling DEMOS not resolve the situation

Yes the problem was not the update or the Max Input Vars but the fact that you have imported contents and Theme Options again, please note that you have received also an alert when you have started this process. Unfortunately there is nothing we can help. Try to ask your host if they have a back up (some hosts performs automatic backups).

Yes I want the grid to have: 1. hover effect that follows the mouse 2. be able to individually control the color of the hover 3. Control the hover text 4. Make the entire hover area clickable to go to the individual pages. 5. Add a filter for different categories.

Hi savage925! 1. No this is not an option of Uncode. 2. Yes you can control (in the Posts module you can set diversifications for every thumbs). 3. Yes 4. It’s not like that Uncode? Maybe I don’t get this. 5. The filter menu is based on categories of the elements present in the grid.
I really discourage to buy a theme and use a plugin to build an important part like the portfolio grid (you cannot combine cool theme features with this plugin features).

I love the portfolio gallery homepage template, however, is it possible to have a ‘load more’ button on the homepage? I would like to display a lot of photo’s, but not infinite loading because the call to action button has to stay in place.

Hi Desolater! No actually load more is only available for posts, pages, portfolios and products. Uncode uses an advanced adaptive image system and as you can see our Portfolio Gallery homepage load super fast with 42 images.
