Hello Laborator team again.
I Have Kalium installed and i love it. But something weird is happening about uploading images. The theme generates 14 copies of each image i upload, to different sizes, leading to extensive disk usage and i don’t have unlimited space on the server only 1 GB.I dont have many images and those images are filling up almost 500MB . What do i need to do to dissable this. I really dont think it is necessery to have 14 different size of each image.
Please advice and thank you for your great theme.

To generate images only when there is a need for it use the SwiftDynamicThumbs plugin, give this plugin a try and you should see the difference.

That is because there isn’t any title in you homepage, while on other pages the heading is H2 instead of H1 which you can change. We are nearly to release an update of the theme and we have also done some improvements on SEO also.

That’s strange, the theme itself does not have any script or plugin that makes it heavy to load. There are a lot of supported plugins for the theme so it depends on what you want to built to get the theme working, but necessary plugins are the Visual Composer and Advanced Custom Fields.

That’s a shame. The site already runs a CDN, cache plugin and on dedicated SSD server with high resources. After swapping to this theme from a studiopress theme on a live site it was terribly slow. The whole setup process is long- and the performance dropped dramatically. The fact is that no support will fix the sheer size and resource usage of this theme. The poor performance is actually the issue. So do I contact Evanto for a refund?

We are constantly working on theme performance increasing and apart from all clients you are the one to say this. It has had issues in the past but now the execution time for Kalium is approximately 0.1~ second
You can compare the execution times in our demos if you view source code, right before tag close, here are execution times for our demo sites:

Kalium has many customers (15K+) and depending on their feedback the performance is not a problem!
Make sure that any of the plugins you are currently using is not causing that.
Also if you believe Kalium is responsible for these delays on your site, install Query Monitor plugin, it will give you the detailed report from what plugin/line code is the being used and how much time it takes for specific task to run.

Here’s what I would like to change in portfolio items (portfolio grid with titles imside)
1. remove the link from hover effect so there is just a image with hover effect
2. remove link from portfolio item title
3. add a button bellow title which will be linked to single page

1. That’s possible through the Theme Options or with Custom CSS, depends how it is set.
2. The link cannot be removed from the theme options but we can make it not clickable and it won’t take you anywhere, it will be like plain text.
3. I doubt this is possible, we don’t have any option to add a button in the portfolio items.

Hello, yesterday I tried to solve a problem with woocommerce shipment. After entering all shipping data, the cart does’nt show me the shipment, it shows only the price of the product, the VAT included and the type of payment, but the prices and shipping methods are not. Can you help me? I installed Kalium theme and I had to update it a bit, however I tried to disable everything by changing theme, but the problem persists I don’t know what to do. before star using kalium i change parameters in php. Giving high values, I installed the template correctly without having any problems. I don’t know why he doesn’t show me the expedition. Is kalium error or a woocommerce bug problem?

Please activate any default Wordpress theme and check if the same problem is still active. If yes then this must be a WooCommerce problem so you should write for this on their support area (link).

We haven’t released an official update to our theme that will support version 3.0.8 of WooCommerce because they just changed 1 file that doesn’t do anything on the theme.
If you want to update to WooCommerce 3.0.8 then you just need to change one file, we wrote the procedure on this article.
P.S: If all the testings go well, we will release an big update (Kalium 2.1) by the end of this month that will beside other things, it will contain a fix for WooCommerce 3.0.8 too.

I need to change the licensed domain since I need to put the website live (now was my ip for staging on my local machine). Problem is, support in the meantime is expired, I thought I could change the domain from the panel afterwards. Can I ask for the change without having to renew support?
Maybe i’m too stupid for this but where in the documentary is shown how and where to add the images for my portfolio? I want to create a masonry gallery which opens up the image in big, when i click on it with prev and next buttons. But at the moment i am not even able to create a gallery at all which is shown on the page. The documentary only shows how to create a Portfolio Item and how to set a site to Portfolio-Template. But how these 2 types interact with each other is not explained. Can someone tell me the steps? I’m like searching since 2 hours already…

As we always write this information in Kalium changelog: “Laborator recommends not update WooCommerce to a newer version than 3.0.5 before we release compatible version of latest WooCommerce update”.

Is the theme 100% compatible with WP 4.8? Thanx!
I just recently purchased, but can not activate the theme via your API system you include with the theme. Discouraged there is no way to manually enter the purchase code in the theme. I have submitted a support ticket. This is very disappointing to purchase a theme and can not even use it.

“Thanks for providing us your Theme Informations. From that i’m seeing that WP Remote Get is not activated on your server and this is not a theme issue.
We actually wrote about this on your documentation Cannot activate the theme?, there you can find instructions that you need to send to your server administrator so they can enable the theme update for you.
Then if your server administrator enables WP Remote Get for you and you still have problems please send us your Wordpress and FTP credentials, then we will further check if we can find a solution for you.

I apologize for I did not see this at the bottom of the doc page initially. I have added your API URL to the server’s firewall white list per the instructions and now WP Remote Get is activated properly. I was then able to activate the theme with no issues.
Hi, I currently have version 2.0.6.1 , how do i update to 2.0.7? There is no update button that is showing up. I already updated to Wordpress 4.8

First please make sure that your product is activated. You can check that by going to Laborator > Product Registration and activate your product.
Then you will be able to update your theme very easily from your Wordpress updates.

Hey there! I’m trying to figure out how to center my top menu, everything is skewed to the right. Also my social icons in the menu are showing up as squares, is there a way to fix this?
Last thing I’m looking to do is add sleek borders around the side menu titles, but the only borders i’m able to make are around the entire part of the one section of the side menu.
