LayerSlider WP 6.5.1 – why I cannot update the plugin … I put the latest version of Avada, but plugin is not updated … what to do:)

Allow us to explain to you in detail how bundled plugins work, in regard to theme included plugins, it is not unique to Avada and applies to any theme that includes a plugin:
1 – Avada includes the Layer and Revolution Slider plugins, at no extra cost
2 – As of right now, Avada 5.1.6 the latest version of the Layer Slider plugin is version 6.3.0 -> http://d.pr/i/uXYPZy – which is what you have
3 – Because it is plugin territory, the respective plugin authors include a global update call for the plugins and it does not apply to theme included plugins -> http://d.pr/i/C4PWvO
4 – The next release of Avada will version 5.2 which will in turn include the latest next version of the Layer and Revolution Slider plugins available at that time
5 – You can safely ignore/dismiss the plugin authors update notice and it will not affect your site in any way
6 – If you are adamant and want to update the included plugin independent of the theme update, you will need to purchase a separate license for the included plugin/s

I have responded to Ammar replied she need to check my new post is not getting assign to category when I check decorating or florist and also your share button doesn’t seem to be sharing my post also the them is very slow . Regarding your ticket, I have just checked it as well and I can see that for the post category -> /lifestyle/florist/ – you have 14 posts created, 2 are in draft and that leaves 12 that should display. On the actual category page only 9 are displaying, which is not correct.
Along side that, in the Theme Options there is an option to enable pagination in various ways -> http://d.pr/i/UhthI – however hat is not working as expected. It does work on our test and demo install of Avada 5.1.6 thereby something else is at play here. It could be a 3rd party plugin that is causing this. Ammar is going to be doing further in depth investigation as to what the root cause is and will reply again to your support ticket, please keep an eye out for that reply in your email inbox

I dont want to paid for support for you to just answer one question please check all categories because there not showing
for example I have 9 decorating post and only 8 is showing and I have 11 florist post publish and only 9 is showing
please count my post that are publish against what is showing on front end categories thats my point

I notice I have ask you to sort out one problem and now I’m getting ask to reactive and deactivate plugging it like you sort out my issue or your theme can’t handle what I am trying to do . I have never in my life of designing on a theme have had a problem with new category or post. and today i have missed out on a one day’s work because I need to add new post and theirs no point if it doesn’t not work . all I want was the issued to be fix I don’t know why my plugging or theme could be causing this miner problem

Disabling plugins is a standard troubleshooting step that is not going to harm your site, it is just temporarily removing outside factors, down to just the core Avada theme code as a process of narrowing the field of possible issues.
There’s a detailed reply on what to do next to keep moving in the troubleshooting process. Please check that out and let us know how it goes for you. You can just send a direct email to your ticket, there’s no need to reply to us here as we don’t actually provide support through themeforest comments and it’s easier to track communication through a single thread in your ticket.

After updating to the most recent AVADA, all of the js files in the fusion builder folder fail to load. Any ideas why?
Hello,
Your Fusion Cache should have cleared automatically when you updated so new files could be generated. However, if you updated manually, then you’ll need to clear the Fusion Cache manually through Theme Options > Advanced > Dynamic CSS & JS; then at the bottom of the settings panel, you’ll find the reset caches button.
You should also clear any plugin cache you may be using, and your browser cache.
That should correct any issues relating to Avada’s dynamic JS files.

Portfolio template files are located in the Fusion Core plugin in fusion-core/templates
Note that any changes made to the file will need to be maintained. When you update the plugin with the theme update, those changes will be overwritten.

Hi there,
I am a long established user of Avada. I have recently run into a problem. For some reason I cannot seem to add or remove, in fact edit at all my current revolution sliders. I go into the admin area and try to click on delete or add, etc. and nothing happens. I have submitted a ticket but thought that I might see if any body else is experiencing this issue and has found a solution. I am using the latest version of everything on the site.

Hmm, that could be a number of things. If you’re not getting any errors, but you’re just unable to use the Fusion Builder in the editor, it’s possible that it has been disabled. You can enable this in WP Admin > Fusion Builder > Settings;
You’ll want to make sure that it’s enabled for the post types you work on > http://prntscr.com/four2a
If that’s not it and you’re actually getting errors or a continuous loading cycle, it could be a plugin conflict. As a standard troubleshooting step, try disabling all non-Avada plugins to see if this is caused by any plugins you’re using. If so, enable your plugins one by one and refresh the issue page. When the problem returns you’ll know what plugin is causing this and can remove/replace as needed.

Hi there, I already purchased the theme, my support has already expired, but I am thinking about to renew the support license. Therefore I have a question regarding the development road of avada:
While avada is powerful, it also has a huge codebase. Yeah I know, that it does not matter that much, when you are using caching, gzip etc. but I want to know if you are planning to do sth. to reduce the filesize when you are not using different features. I know that you already have taken this path by allowing to disable different theme features, which also reduce the file sizes. On the other hand the css files still have an amount of 500kb (fusion.css) + 164kb (style.min.css) on a blank page without customization and we are not even using woo commerce, sliders and have many elements deactivated in the fusion builder settings. Don’t get me wrong, I love avada and don’t want to say that it is over bloated, slow or sth. like thins, since you can do anything with it and I am not a professional coder. I am just wondering if there are any chances, that you guys will find a way (maybe something modular) to reduce the file sizes, since we all know: speed matters

Thank you for your question. We are continuously improving Avada’s codebase and are by no means finished with that. As we add more features to the theme, we’re also improving on optional usage of these features as we do understand that not everyone will need to used every element / feature for their site.
As you mentioned, you do have the option to disable any of the Fusion Builder elements and it will dequeue those resources.
Additionally, in Avada 5.0, we took steps to reduce the filesize of the theme by offloading plugins and demos from the main theme package. More information can be found on that here > http://bit.ly/2eahzvS
We do also have an item in our dev log for further refactoring of HTML and CSS in Avada.
Avada’s codebase will be continuously refactored and improved on as the theme progresses and develops further. We don’t only focus on having options, but the optimal delivery of those options and flexibility is our priority as well.

Hi. The site logo is 300px, a circle. Since the logo is in the header, you would need to set the side header’s width larger to fit a larger logo. You can do that in Theme Options > Header > Header Styling; when using the side header layout.

There is no default search option that is enabled in that way for the footer. The best would be to use a 3rd party search plugins, add it to the Avada footer which is widget ready and depending on exactly what your design should like like, ass some custom CSS to perfect it

You can simply do that by going to Avada > Theme Options > Extras > Featured Image Rollover and then deselecting anything that you do not want to appear on the featured rollover.
