It would be very useful if the editor of the theme in his next update included weather forecast (in the header, to the right of the logo), besides the possibility to select quantity of news more read / last news that the buyer would like to display in his home.
Only this makes the theme limited and slightly inferior to the others on the same line. Other than these details, everything works perfectly on my site.

The “Latest” taeb will simply display the most recent posts, the “Videos” tab will display the latest posts that use the video post type, and the “Trending” tab will display the posts published in the last X amount of days (you can set the number of days within the Theme Options) and order them according to the number of page views they have.

Posts in the middle section are set via a Tag, not a category. But you can easily just add a Tag with the same name as the category to all of your posts in the category. For example, if you have a category named “Sports”, you can add a Tag to all of the posts in that category called “Sports”, and that way you can use the “Sports” Tag in the Featured Posts section, and it will display all posts from the “Sports” category.
I am not sure what you mean by your last question, though.

B ) Unfortunately, this is not a feature of the theme and is something you would need to modify on your own.
C) Yes, that is a widget, and you can select a category for that widget and posts within that category will be displayed.
D) I have not officially tested the theme with VC, so I cannot guarantee that it is 100% compatible. Though, I am not aware of any conflicts and will certainly look into any issues you may run into since it is such a popular plugin.
Can you not help me do the number B ) ? Doesn’t necessarily have to be a category, a tag with the name “Podcast” would do too.

And you can use any Tag or Category in the widgets (The “Entertainment” section)
J) Yes, it will skip any prominently displayed articles from above. Basically, it will exclude any article that has a large image on the homepage.
You missed the numbering Part on I ) Instead of Entertainment, I want Politics there too. And on Politics I want the number as this one: https://prnt.sc/gxw9i9
Can I have the numbering according to post published as this???? Latest 1-4 posts should appear on the 1st part of Politics and 5-10 should appear on bottom part of politics as per the screenshot.

You can have the same Tag in both places, but I am not sure if every post has the exclude function. I know the larger posts will be excluded from being displayed below, but I cannot guarantee that the smaller posts will be excluded, so the numbering may not be exactly as you have it laid out in the example.

I am saying that within the layout you highlighted in the picture, only the main image will be excluded. I believe the two posts below it will also be excluded as well, I but I cannot guarantee that the number order will be identical to what you have laid out in your image.
What can be done for it to work then? For the numbering to work serially as I’ve laid out in the screenshot. Will you help? I only need that currently.

I just bought the theme today and I want to utilize Featured Layout 2 for the home page, but when I select it, it looks nothing like your demo and when I try to ‘edit page’ and ‘launch page builder’ it comes up with a template selection that is nothing like Featured Layout 2.
The only part of the page that looks similar to Featured Layout 2 is the “More News” section.

Hi, LOVE this theme. I have one issue. The Meet the Team page adds everyone who ever wrote for the site. I often have guest writers, and having all of them on the Meet the Team page is too crowded. Also, there’s a few anonymous articles, and I don’t want an Anonymous person listed on the team. I’d like a few people on it. Can this be fixed to select who you want on Meet the Team? Thanks!

Author 1) Incorrect. I said that the Twitter field you were seeing was from a separate plugin and that you would need to remove all of your plugins to find out which one is overriding the Twitter field from the theme. This was a very simple issue with a very simple solution.
Me 1) You are incorrect about the field I am using. I am using the offical wordpress user profile fields, which is the one your theme uses. The official wordpress twitter username field is not a url field, and your theme is using this OFFICIAL WORDDPRESS twitter USERNAME field to present a URL. This is a VERY good reason for a bad rating.
Author 2) You simply cannot generate different thumbnails for every size of image that appears in the site. This is another simple concept. Only a certain number of thumbnails are generated fro each image, and depending on the size of the image displayed, one of those thumbnails will be used, even if it is not the exact dimensions of what the image shows on the site. This is standard practice for WordPress.
Me 2) Most themes register different thumbnail sizes. The ones you have registered for different display than the full sizes are sometimes never displayed for as big as you have registered them to. Most themes actually store as many thumbnails as needed to ensure the smallest possible size appears. All SEO scans/scores/google scans will even give you warnings that your images are too big for any screen resolution. Do you want a real google webmasters warning that your theme uses images that are too big?
Author 3) Yes, the Logo uploaded via the Theme Options is stored in a database table that is separate from the media library. I am not sure why you would need it to appear in the media library, but I have been a theme developer for over 5 years now and you are the first person who has ever even mentioned this or cared about this function.
Me 3) The spirit of wordpress is RESTful content, content that links to each other in a database. You’re not only bypassing a native wordpress function to store theme images, logos etc, you’re making orphan anonymous uploads to the wordpress uploads folder. That is BAD, and is a fail point for passing themeforest quality check. Even when stored in another table, it needs to be deleted when it’s not being used anymore somehow. You are skipping a native wordpress function for theme image/attachments and making anonymous files/database tables.
Author: These are simply not “issues” that should cause such a poor rating for the theme.
Me: All of these reasons a perfect reason to give you a low rating, as a developer who can’t take constructive feedback, and takes it as insult to ability/understanding. I stated clear issues and you deny/don’t hear the issues. Your theme just over 2 months old and you’re not even willing to discover if I may be right, even about your themes mis-use of the wordpress user profile field, to get the twitter logo. Maybe you dont know that you’re using the same field name that wordpress does in author_meta? I am not using any other plugins to set any fields.

1) WordPress does not come with a Twitter field by default. You need a plugin to have one appear, and one of the plugins you are using is adding that field, not the default WordPress. So, essentially, you are using two plugins that are adding the same field, and another plugin is overriding the plugin from the theme. But the field from the theme is what is needed for the theme to work properly. If you deactivated all of your plugins as I suggested a week ago, this would be very clear to you. That way, you could install the MVP Social Buttons plugin so it will insert the correct field, and your theme will work properly.
2) There is a major downside to having too many thumbnails for each image size within the theme (and there are quite a few different image sizes, especially if you are considering all of the different devices) where your server will get slowed down if the theme generates 10, 20, 30 or more thumbnails every time you upload an image. If you have 200 posts, this theme will generate 1000 thumbnails (with up to 5 different thumbnails being created for each image uploaded). But if you have 20 or 30 thumbnails for each image uploaded, that number turns into 6000 images for 200 posts, which is obviously 6 times the size of what the theme generates. Yes, Google will issue warnings based on an image not being the exact size, but literally every news site on the net has these errors and it in no way detracts from the performance or load time for the site.
3) This has nothing to do with passing a Themeforest quality check. Every one of my themes has passed the checks, and believe me, there are quite a few checks that they are sticklers about that they have me correct every time I submit a theme. This is a non-issue, but it seems like you have a lot of experience with this, which makes me suggest that you are capable of correcting this “issue” on your own.
At this point there is nothing else I can say about any of these issues. Feel free to leave the 1-star rating. That is your right, but none of these issues changes the performance and delivery of your content for the theme. I have the exact same process for each of my 12 themes and have sold over 25,000 themes without anyone bringing up any of these things as an issue for them. Yes, if you look hard enough, you can find these types of “issues” with any theme. And even if they don’t have these “issues”, there are others that they may have that my themes do not. That’s the nature of web development.
I am more than open to constructive criticism and one of the reasons I have been as successful at this as I have is because I DO listen to my customers and very often include the changes and corrections they point out and suggest. But unfortunately, I am not able to simply include every suggestion, no matter how necessary customers may deem them. And the response should not be to simply rate the theme 1-stars because I make a decision not to include something. But that’s your prerogative as a customer and you do what you have to do. You seem to know what you’re talking about, so you should have no problem implementing these changes on your own, though. In fact, I would venture to say that you could have simply implemented the changes to the theme in the entire time we have been going back and forth about this and we could have both saved ourselves quite a bit of time and energy. But you insist on dragging this out for whatever reason. Feel free to continue, but I do not deem these changes as necessary to the theme and you are free to edit any of the files as you see fit.
