Could you please add shortcode support to your top banner ad location and footer widget?
Details: I just relaunched my website using your theme and I’m very disappointed it does not work correctly with the most popular ad system here on Evnato, WP PRO Advertising System.
The issue is I can’t find a way to make my existing ads responsive, like they were using the Sahifa theme also from Evnato. With that theme they were responsive using either shortcode OR iframe.
However, when using the iframe ads with your theme they are not responsive (see TheAutomationBlog.com) and apparently your them doesn’t support shortcodes in the top banner ad space, nor in the footer widget on single posts? 
PS – I understand you have your own “ad” system, however I have “years” worth of click history using WP PRO Advertising System which I don’t want to lose, and if their plugin works with other popular themes, why not with the most popular?

We understand your frustration but unfortunately plugins cannot be compatible with all themes and vice-versa.
The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones:
WP Super Cache- caching plugin Contact form 7- used to make contact forms bbPress- forum plugin BuddyPress- social network plugin Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus Jetpack- plugin with lots of features *it may slow down your site WooCommerce- eCommerce solution WordPress (Yoast) SEO- SEO plugin Wp User Avatar- Change users avatars WPML – multilingual plugin
Anything beyond this list is not tested and I cannot say for sure if it will work or not. Try to use another ad plugin if the one you mention does not work properly Or hire a freelancer to make the proper implementation and code adjustment for the plugin to work with our theme if this is a necessity for you. There are other ad plugins out there you can try as well. Try ‘adrotate’ for example which is not officially tested but it seems to work properly as mentioned by our users. Unfortunately shortcodes are not ‘global’ A shortcode is basically a code created by a specific software. Each builder has it’s own shortcode. Our builder has specific short codes, visual composer has specific shortcodes, etc. They do not work from one another. Each theme developer creates his own set of shortcodes based on his/her specific theme code and they cannot work on other themes that do not have that specific implementation. You need the shortcode ‘renderer’ to render other shortcodes than the theme specific ones. The ‘renderer’ can be a plugin, a theme, a page builder, etc. but shortcodes are not global.

To anyone reading this – sadly the support from TagDiv has been very lacking this week.
On their official support site they answered my question by saying, “you’re using unsupported plugins.”
Really, well it would be nice to know which plugins TagDiv supports, but neither their ThemeForest page nor their support page (nor Google) reveals that list (hopefully they’ll fix that if they read this)
So to troubleshoot the issue I was left to my own devices, and resorted to installing a fresh copy of Wordpress and Newpaper on a brand new site.
That is where I confirmed the default Wordpress shortcodes did work in widgets in Newpaper on both posts and pages, but not in comments.
And this led me to the conflict – a plugin I use successfully on several other Wordpress sites (to enable shortcodes in comments) has a conflict with the NewsPaper theme.
To work around this I disable the offending plugin and added the following code to the theme’s functions.php:
add_filter( ‘comment_text’, ‘shortcode_unautop’); add_filter( ‘comment_text’, ‘do_shortcode’ );
Hopefully this information will help somebody else out if they get the same poor support from TagDiv like I did.

If the theme support mentioned a plugin conflict and the issue was indeed a plugin, I’m not seeing how the support is lacking. The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones:

Hi, I updated to the latest version of Newspaper from 7 to 8. All went well, however, when I changed over the TagDiv mobile plugins it won’t let me activate and gives the following fatal error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Mobile_Detect in /home/viewp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/Mobile_Detect.php on line 29 – the site is viewpointsandreviews.com

Hello, This error usually comes up when you have a plugin that uses the same implementation as the mobile theme requires. In this case you should disable all plugins and activate the mobile theme first. Then activate the other plugins afterwards. It is recommended to only use tested plugins though:

Hi, thanks for your reply, that appeared to solved the issue. I deactivated each plugin and started with TagDiv mobile and its all working now. I saw your plugin list that your theme supports and note that it is quite limited in its scope.
I won’t use Jetpack because of speed issues – I do use WP Super cache and Tagdiz speed booster together.

Sorry but you cannot filter out each section of a block separately. A block or grid is considered a whole item, and not separate items with separate filtering for each element.

A possible bug? Adsense Responsive Link units do not show correctly on Desktop (after article placement) when set to auto, and the new Adsense in-article format sometimes expands outside of its container into the sidebar (inline) – again, when set to auto.

Unfortunately not every type of adsense works properly with our theme. We have created our theme to work with the standard adsense ads, but since then google implemented a number of new types of ads that create issues when implemented and require additional customization to work properly. We have not tested link ads so I cannot say for sure. Try to implement them through ‘adrotatate’ (plugin) and see place the plugin shortcode in the theme ad field.

Hi, I wasn’t able to find a good answer about the mega menu in mobile mode. Is it improved so that we can use it for mobile? It’s very inconvenient that all the submenus disappeared on mobile. Thanks very much!

I think i found the error why mobile view is not as i designed from theme panel. maybe because it’s not loading the page only title… that’s why home is not loading.. please tell me how to correct this.

This happens because you use the mobile theme plugin. Please read this guide to learn about the mobile theme functionality: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you do not like the implementation, you can simply disable the plugin and use the standard responsive version of the theme.

This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I’ve set the featured image size to be 110×110, But the homepage shows the featured images huge which lead to quality loss. How can i show the featured image in the homepage layout as the original size of 110×110. i’m using block module 15. thanks

Hi, i purchased your theme long ago, but didnt updated it about a year, i made an update recently but the new composer screw many things, i made my homepage again in the new demos but some stuff is not working, in example the background option in the theme panel, if i delete it and upload a new image the home page do not update it and it also make it blurry, the media library doesnt allow me to upload more than 2mb file size even if i create the php.ini file or add lines in the wp-config so pls help me. thanks in advance

Please make sure you do not use both page builders a the same time. Using both visual composer and the tagdiv composer will create issues. Decide on which one you want to use and remove the other.

Decided to use the Inline Ads feature today. I filled out the fields but post doesn’t contain any ads. i cleared caches.

I have an alert of my provider (OVH) that my website is doing a lot of requests to IP address 179.60.192.52:443 (more than 100 requests every 5 minutes !!!!!!).
I found that it is the instagram section in the footer that cause this problem.
For the moment I disable this module, but can you tell me quickly how tho fix this bug?

We do not know of any issue with the Instagram making lots of requests. It could be a local issue specific to your end. It is not a known bug. We have tested the Instagram widget and requests were at normal levels. Please try to create a testing platform on a sub-domain and test different id;s in the Instagram widget.

if i want to create 2 post type like 1) City 2) Airport
A) is it possible post type City have a criteria for review different from post type Airport ? like City will have 3 criteria rating : Safety, Clean, Public Transportation and Airport will have : Lounge, Customer Service, Luxury ?
is it possible for users to create a different review for each criteria i put on City / Airport post type ? like, if City have topic TOKYO, user who visit Tokyo page, will able to add different story and add different rating for criteria Safety, Clean, Public Transportation ?
C) If i have Topic/post call TOKYO on post type City, is it possible in that TOKYO page, i put lot of information and show all summary rating from all criteria i set (Safety, Clean, Public Transportation), and when i try to access one of criteria like Safety it will go to page that show all rating and review for Safety in Tokyo ?

This can be achieved with standard posts not custom post types. The review criteria in our review system is the one you give it. You can type your own criteria to the reviews. Unfortunately our review system is not meant for user reviews it is meant for reviewing something as in the author being the reviewer, not submitting content for users to review.
