Just upgraded and love the new options in page builder, the only problem is I can not edit the text in some areas. For example in the Hero element, i have the following first options in the right column.
Title text (Blank no text box to write/edit) Title tag (SEO) (OK dropdown options) Title size (OK dropdown options)
Description (Blank no text box to write/edit) Image (Blank, not sure what would be in this part) Image (OK – “remove” link and icon image)
Further down the Button Text is ok and I can modify them.
Other Elements are the same, some parts do not have the box to modify the text.
Is this something isolated to my machine? Or others have experienced this?
I tried exiting page builder and directly editing the text in the code (on the normal WordPress page edit section) but the text seems to have some encoding so does not work if I edit in there.
Great new awesome elements, just trying to figure out how to use them.

It seems the plugin is not working properly on your end It could be a plugin compatibility issue. Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

After uptading Newpaper 8.2 to newspaper 8.5, i have a problem :
wp booster error: The path /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/newspapper/wp-content/themes/cgem/parts/footer/td_sub_footer_template_1.php of the template id: td_sub_footer_template_1 not found. /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/newspapper/wp-content/themes/cgem/includes/wp_booster/td_api.php
The td_sub_footer_template_1.php file is not in the folders.

It seems yoou have a file missing from your install. Please reinstall your theme properly and make sure you replace all the files. Use the wordpress method of updating the theme and delete and install the theme via the wordpress back-end: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thanks for your answer but the file td_sub_footer_template_1.php is not found in any folder, neither in the new version 8.5. I’ve reinstalled it 3 times and nothing. The plugin for updating does not work either.

Please check your cache. Test this on another theme and if the issue only happens on the newspaper theme please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Hi… I got a problem, actually I posted on forum, but no respond, so I ask here one more time:
1. How to disable back to top button? (i tried to add some code on Costom CSS, but didn’t work) 2. After updating to 8.5, mobile plugin doesn’t work, its blank view (end up by disable mobile plugin) 3. Multi Purpose plugin incompatible with Speed Booster (please make it compatible)

When will you adding new post template styles? Multiple features are nice. And I don’t mind getting reacquainted with new features each time there is an update. But presenting content is more important for me.

Please contact the ad provider. New adsense codes can sometimes take up to a few weeks before they will be delivered by google. Test your ad on a wp default theme as well.

I Use Plug in VC and Ultimate VC Addon for design but with Responsive Option not work any more when i Update to 8.5 Version .

Sorry but we have not tested the Ultimate VC addon so I cannot say for sure if it will work or not. The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones:
WP Super Cache- caching plugin Contact form 7- used to make contact forms bbPress- forum plugin BuddyPress- social network plugin Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus Jetpack- plugin with lots of features *it may slow down your site WooCommerce- eCommerce solution WordPress (Yoast) SEO- SEO plugin Wp User Avatar- Change users avatars WPML – multilingual plugin
Anything beyond this list is not tested and I cannot say for sure if it will work or not.

Haven’t been able to use this theme until now. I am using the header 10 style and need the white space out. I have dissected your code and cant find where I can modify it to get the white space out. Please help! Let me know what I need to do! Where in the style sheet?
Since I am using visual composer I tried using the margin properties within a row but there is a white space layer that is blocking it. So when modifying the row top margin properties as it gets pushed up that white space sits on top of it thus blocking it.

Is it any surprise that the guys behind this theme should go down the dev route they are taking? It’s a wonderful theme, however, I do agree with the criticism levelled at them from other posters. There is, how can I put it, an air of arrogance when the people who request certain features on this board are met with a ‘we’ll do it only if we feel we want to’.
Other themes are starting to push ahead and I am now considering moving over to another theme…you’ll guess which one. We shouldn’t be surprised though as they have put all their eggs in one basket and have decided to broaden as opposed to deepening the theme. They relegated the last theme and want to cash in with this one by appealing to a wider audience. It’s a pity but we are expressing a frustration with the owners of this theme we support and love but they don’t listen to the customer base so Hell mend them.
I’m signing off in the usual way Bogdan does which is as annoying as it is condescending (which sums up the owners of this work) Thank You!

The newly introduced features should not be viewed as a commitment to a certain direction. It simply adds more options in the theme. Users can choose to use these if needed, or not. There will be more requested features added in later updates. Every request is considered for implementation. If this update does not contain some of them, surely others will.
